Autoeficácia parental e transtorno do espectro autista: efeitos de uma intervenção baseada em jogos

Contudo, alterações comportamentais e lacunas no desenvolvimento sociocognitivo do TEA podem repercutir nessa interação. O objetivo desta dissertação é avaliar os efeitos de uma intervenção baseada em jogos e mediada por cuidadores de crianças com TEA sobre a AP. Desenvolveu-se dois estudos, um teórico e um empírico. O Estudo 1 tratou-se de uma revisão integrativa e almejou investigar na literatura o que se sabe sobre as relações entre AP e desenvolvimento da criança com TEA. Com o CheckList PRISMA e acrônimo PCC (Pessoa, Conceito, Contexto) estipulou-se descritores em português, inglês e espanhol, e bases de dados Pubmed/Medline, Embase, Cinahl, PsycInfo, Scopus, Web of Science, Eric e Lilacs. Os resultados destacam avanços na compreensão da relação entre AP e o desenvolvimento da criança com TEA, apontando a necessidade de investigações futuras sobre relações causais e contextos específicos. O Estudo 2 avaliou efeitos de uma intervenção baseada em jogos de Cognição Social (CS) e mediada por cuidadores de crianças com TEA sobre a AP. Tratou-se de um ensaio clínico randomizado, com medidas pré e pós-intervenção. Cuidadores responderam acerca da AP, a Escala de Autoeficácia Parental para o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (EAP-TEA), a Escala de Senso de Competência Parental (PSOC) com suas subescalas de eficácia e satisfação. Sobre a criança, em relação aos problemas de comportamento externalizantes e internalizantes, os cuidadores responderam o Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) e quanto à regulação emocional, a Emotion Regulation CheckList (ERC) e suas subescalas em labilidade e regulação. Com as crianças foi aplicada a bateria neuropsicológica NEPSY, e suas subescalas de Reconhecimento de Emoções (RE) e Teoria da Mente (ToM), e a Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI) a fim de uma triagem do quociente de inteligência (QI). Participaram 36 duplas de cuidador-criança, com idade entre 6 e 12 anos, durante 10 semanas de intervenção conduzidas pelos cuidadores sob supervisão. As duplas foram distribuídas aleatoriamente em três grupos: experimental 1 (GE-Cs), que participou de jogos de CS, experimental 2 (GE-Mat), que participou de jogos em cognição matemática e controle (GC), que compôs a lista de espera. A participação nas intervenções em CS não foi capaz de gerar mudanças significativas nos desfechos parentais entre os grupos, no entanto, marginalmente significativas e significativas intra-grupo, com o GE-Cs apresentando maiores diferenças médias. Para as crianças, se consideradas as mudanças marginalmente significativas intra-grupo para ToM e REG, e entre grupos para RE, há tendência de ganhos no GE-Cs. As duplas relataram satisfação com a intervenção. Quanto às dificuldades como mediadores, cuidadores sinalizaram o manejo comportamental. Quanto às sugestões para melhorar os jogos, crianças recomendaram torná-los mais lúdicos, enquanto cuidadores sugeriram menor extensão das fases e orientações prévias acerca dos construtos-alvo. Reitera-se a importância da promoção da participação de cuidadores em intervenções no TEA, para obtenção de dados a partir da prática baseada em evidências, promoção de autoeficácia parental e expansão de habilidades imprescindíveis ao desenvolvimento infantil.Abstract: One way to promote Parental Self-Efficacy (PSE) for caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is to involve them in interventions with the children. However, behavioral changes and socio-cognitive development gaps in ASD can impact this interaction. The aim of this dissertation is to assess the effects of a game-based intervention mediated by caregivers of children with ASD on PSE. Study 1 was an integrative review aimed to explore literature regarding what is known about the relationship between PSE and the development of children with ASD. Using the PRISMA CheckList and the PCC acronym (Person, Concept, Context), descriptors were stipulated in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and databases included Pubmed/Medline, Embase, Cinahl, PsycInfo, Scopus, Web of Science, Eric and Lilacs. Results highlight advancements in understanding the relationship between PSE and the development of children with ASD, emphasizing the need for future investigations into causal relationships and specific contexts. Study 2 evaluated the effects of a social cognition (SC) game-based intervention mediated by caregivers of children with ASD on PSE. It was a randomized clinical trial, with pre- and post-intervention measures. Caregivers responded about their PSE, the Parental Self-Efficacy Scale for Autism Spectrum Disorder (PSES-ASD), the Parental Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC) with its efficacy and satisfaction subscales. Regarding the child's externalizing and internalizing behavior problems, caregivers responded to the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and regarding child?s emotional regulation, the Emotion Regulation CheckList (ERC) and its lability and regulation subscales. The NEPSY neuropsychological battery was administered to the children, including subtests for Emotion Recognition (ER) and Theory of Mind (ToM), along with the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI) for an estimated intelligence quotient (IQ). Thirty-six caregiver-child dyads aged 6 to 12 participated in a 10-week intervention conducted by caregivers under supervision, randomly assigned into three groups: experimental 1, who participated in SC games, experimental 2, who participated in mathematical cognition games, and passive control, who made up the waitlist. Participation in sociocognitive interventions did not generate significant changes in parental outcomes between groups, however, marginally significant within-group differences were observed, with the experimental group showing higher average differences. For children, considering marginally significant within-group changes for ToM, ERG, and between group differences for ER, there is a trend of gains in the experimental group 1. Dyads reported satisfaction with the intervention. Regarding difficulties as mediators, caregivers highlighted behavioral management. Regarding suggestions for improving the games, children recommended making them more playful, while caregivers suggested shorter phases and prior guidance on the target constructs. The importance of promoting caregivers? participation in interventions for ASD is reiterated to gather evidence-based practice data, enhance parental self-efficacy and expand essential skills for child development
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
