La sistemizzazione dei dati dell’VIII (già XI) Municipio: prospettive di ricerca e sviluppo
The area enclosed within the VIII municipality of Rome is marked by the presence of the ancient Via Appia, which includes extraordinary and widespread archaeological sites and monuments that brought to the establishment of the namesake natural Park (LR 29/97). The synergy between the Soprintendenza Speciale per i Beni Archeologici di Roma (SSBAR) with SITAR and the territorial Landmarks Departments brought about important results, such as the recognition and identification of archaeological investigations and the set up of devices aimed at the institutional protection of the SSBAR. In 2012 and 2013, a considerable amount of data was added by the SITAR into its GeoDB. This synergy also brought about the set up of technical and thematic maps aimed at territorial protection, preventing unauthorized constructions. As for the application of SITAR in scientific research, this system offers the possibility to analyze, either in a typological and contextual point of view, a huge conglomeration of environmental and anthropogenic data leading to the analysis of several system landscapes in all their aspects. As part of the research project Settlement and spatial dynamics along the ancient Via Appia, between the Suburbium and the city of Rome, the SITAR was fundamental for analyzing the layout and visibility of the burials as expression of social promotion, for building identity and memory

Sensory and chemical properties of extra virgin olive oils produced in two different Italian regions: Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna
The present study was carried out in two commercial olive orchards, located in two olive-growing areas of Northern Italy, in the regions of Emilia- Romagna and Tuscany. Microclimatic parameters for both areas were collected throughout two seasons of experiments. Two different olive cultivars, Leccino and Leccio del Corno, were chosen and their olive ripening processes were studied considering the Jaen index. The chemical and sensory features of monovarietal olive oils produced in different areas were investigated. No significant differences were shown in free acidity, peroxide number or UV spectrophotometer indices. In the case of two of the main chemical parameters involved in oil stability, total phenolic content and oxidative stability index, both cultivars exhibited a good level of natural antioxidants. Levels of oleic acid in Leccino oils were lower than those detected in Leccio del Corno oils from both areas and during both crop seasons. Oils from Leccio del Corno, characterized by very high values of oleic acid, are notable for their higher nutritional value. Organoleptic properties of Leccio del Corno oils produced in Tuscany during 2003 showed significantly higher intensities of olive fruitiness, bitterness and pungency than the same oils produced in Emilia-Romagna. Oils of the same cultivar obtained in 2004 showed strong similarities between oils produced in the two areas with a slightly higher intensity of bitter flavor in oils produced in the Emilia-Romagna region. Quantitative descriptive sensory profiles of Leccino oils produced in 2003 and 2004 revealed a strong similarity between the two geographical areas. Oils produced in the two geographical areas by both cultivars showed high quality standards. The oils produced in the two environments displayed characteristics which are heavily influenced by the cultivar from which the fruits come. The effect of the environmental distance between the two sites does not seem so great as to markedly and systematically influence the features of the oil, from either chemical or organoleptic points of view and all oils produced proved to be of high quality
Optimum installation of a common rail diesel engine on a “classical” helicopter: The UH1
A feasibility study for the installation of a CRDID (Common Rail Diesel Engine) on a medium helicopter is introduced. The total mass available for the CRDID is evaluated starting from fuel consumption and helicopter data. A derivative of an automotive engine was considered. The installation of the new CRDID was then studied. The result was the evaluation of the power plant installation mass that proved to be lower than the maximum admissible. The installation is then possible. Care should be taken in the cooling system to avoid large penalties in power and efficiency. For CRDID powered helicopters, the ejector exhaust system can be successfully used. With CRDIDs, huge advantages can be obtained on operating costs due to reduced fuel consumption, safety and helicopter availability. In fact, diesel fuel is available everywhere and flights to airports just for refueling can be avoided. © 2015, Pushpa Publishing House, Allahabad, India
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
