Get PDFIsi penelitian ini berdasarkan penelitian ilmiah yang berjudul “Penyajian Kepesindenan Iis Rohayati dalam Membawakan Lagu Kembang Gadung”. penulis merasa perlu untuk meneliti hal ini, karena kurangnya penelitian mengenai Sekar Kepesindenan, khusunya penyajian gaya Iis Rohayati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengolahan materi dan gaya penyajian kepesindenan yang dibawakan oleh Iis Rohayati khususnya dalam lagu Kembang Gadung. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data-data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan Iis Rohayati dan beberapa seniman atau pesinden sunda. Hasil penemuan dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang gaya kepesindenan yang Iis Rohayati sajikan dalam lagu Kembang Gadung. Pengolahan melodi, rumpaka, senggol, dan teknik penyajian lagu yang disajikan oleh Iis Rohayati memiliki ciri khas yang unik dari penyajian pesinden lainnya. Ciri khasnya yang kuat adalah teknik ngalage yang Iis Rohayati memiliki. Dimana kemampuan Iis Rohayati bergerak sesuai dengan kalimat lagu. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan juga bahwa dengan mengetahui serta memahami pembawaan sekar kepesindenan, seorang pesinden bisa mengapresiasikannya pada sebuahn pertunjukan maupun kompetisi musik Sunda.-------------
This study entitled “The Performance of Kepesindenan of Iis Rohayati in Kembang Gadung song” was conducted for the reason that the research on Sekar Kepesindenan especially the performance of Iis Rohayati is still so little in interest, whereas this topic is necessary to be investigated further. This study was qualitative design, which investigated the material processing and the style of kepesindenan of Iis Rohayati in Kembang Gadung song. The data of this study were collected from the observation and interviews with the singer Iis Rohayati and several pesinden sunda. The study found that the style of kepesindenan by Iis Rohayati in Kembang Gadung song does have unique characteristics based on the melody, rumpaka, senggol and the performance technique. Furthermore, the most prominent characteristic is the ngalange technique, where the singer moves gently according to the sentence of the song. In conclusion, according to this study, by acknowledging and understanding the performance of sekar kapesindenan, a pesinden can appreciate any musical performance in sundanese music

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Literature is the expression of feeling, passion, and emotion caused by a
sensation of the interestingness of life. It grows from the imaginative mind of the
writer. Literature is writing value as works of art such as novel, poems or song, etc.
literature represents the people’s life style, ideas, thought, and emotion. Song is one
of the products of literature (poem). Song made from the result of writer imaginary
and experience. In the lyric of song, the author usually makes figurative language.
Figurative language is a set of literary devices that authors use to bring the
reader into the writing. The literary devices use language in such a way that what is
being said is different from the actual literal meaning of the words. Figurative
language helps the reader to get a clearer picture of what’s happening, and they can
also be used to convince the reader of something, or they can be used to simply
entertain the reader.
In this thesis, the writer tries to explore the historical Westlife and the
language style is used in Westlife’s songs by using theoretical foundation to make
strong the research. The field in this research is literature. The writer uses qualitative
research and content analysis on her research and she also uses library research to
collecting the data.
This research is figurative language analysis in Westlife’s song of “Where We
Are Album” released in 2009. Where We Are is the ninth studio album and tenth
album overall by the Irish boyband Westlife. It was released on 27 November 2009 in
Ireland and 30 November 2009 in the UK through Syco Music, RCA Records and
Sony Music. The writer chose Westlife’s song in her research because it’s know that
Westlife is boyband has been popular in worldwide and Westlife had sold over 45
million records worldwide which includes studio albums, singles, video release, and
compilation albums. In the songs, the writer found some kinds of figurative language
such as personification, hyperbole, simile, tautology, synecdoche, alliteration, etc.
From the research which is done, the writer concludes that in the Westlife’s
album entitled “Where We Are” is many containing figurative languages and
commonly in Westlife’s songs use figurative language of hyperbole and
personification. The writer hopes the thesis gives inspiration for all to increase their
creativity to make good song with figurative languages. Contraction, criticism, and
suggestion are expected for the improvement this thesis

Berikutan daripada itu, telah memaksa pihak kerajaan terutamanya Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur dan pihak-pihak yang terbabit mencari altematif yang terbaik untuk mengatasinya masalah yang timbul. Pembangunan bersepadu merupakan altematif yang terbaik ketika ini bagi menampung permintaan sektor hartanah yang tinggi, mengatasi masalah kesesakan di pusat bandar, disamping dapat menyeimbangkan penduduk ke seluruh bandar Lebih-lebih lagi perlaksanaan pembangunan bersepadu ini didapati lebih menguntungkan jika dibandingkan dengan pembangunan jenis “piece meal”. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
