Vivian Castleberry
Vivian Castleberry, a native Texas, was a graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU) and became the first female editor of the Dallas Times Herald in 1957. During her 28-year tenure at the Herald, Ms. Castleberry won numerous journalism awards. She took an early retirement to pursue peace activist efforts. She co-founded the Women's Center of Dallas and The Dallas Women's Foundation, and founded Peacemakers Incorporated. She was inducted into the Texas Women's Hall of Fame in 1984. The photographer, Dian Malouf is a professional photographer, author, and internationally known jewelry designer. She is a native Texan and attended Southern Methodist University

Este informe de pasantía está direccionado a describir las experiencias en el desarrollo de las
actividades de prácticas profesionales, descripción de la entidad “(UAE DIAN) Unidad
Administrativa Especial Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales” (Wikipedia, 2023, párrafo
primero). Como pasante universitario el cual consiste en elaborar un informe relacionado en el
área donde se ejerce dicha actividad, la entidad cuenta con un organigrama el cual muestra sus
funciones y se encuentra distribuido por divisiones, por la cual se realizaron diferentes
actividades en el proceso de pasantía en la División de operación aduanera, Grupo Interno de
Trabajo Registro y Control Usuarios aduaneros Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales -
Seccional Buenaventura, de acuerdo a la práctica esta entidad fue creada con el fin de garantizar
la seguridad fiscal del Estado colombiano, y además fue asignada para proteger el orden público
y la economía nacional.. (Wikipedia, 2023,).
Las pasantías del autor (a) de este informe se realizaron en la Dirección Seccional de Impuestos
y Aduanas Nacionales de Buenaventura, que según (DIAN , 2013) esta es una organización del
estado que coadyuva a garantizar la seguridad fiscal del estado colombiano y la protección del
orden público, económico nacional, mediante la administración y control al debido cumplimiento
de las obligaciones tributarias, aduanera y cambiarias, los derechos de explotación y gastos de
administración sobre los juegos de suerte y azar explotados por entidades públicas del nivel
nacional y la facilitación de las operaciones de comercio exterior en condiciones de equidad,
transparencia y legalidadHis internship report is aimed at the development of the activities of the entity "(UAE DIAN)

paragraph). As a university intern which consists of preparing a related report in the area where
this activity is exercised, the entity has an organizational chart which shows its functions and is
distributed by divisions, by which different activities were carried out in the process internship
professionals in the Division of customs operation in the entity Directorate of National Taxes and
Customs - Buenaventura Section, According to the investigation, this entity was created in order
to guarantee the fiscal security of the Colombian State, and was also assigned to protect public
order and the national economy. All this process must be done through the administration and
control of due compliance with tax obligations and also facilitate foreign trade operations in

The previous paragraph, the internships of the author (a) of this report were carried out in the
Sectional Directorate of National Taxes and Customs of Buenaventura, which according to (DIAN)
this is a state organization that helps to ensure the fiscal security of the Colombian state and the

Distributed Individual-Based Environmental Simulation
This paper describes the development and construction of a distributed model allowing the simulation of a large population. Particular attention will be paid to allowing the modelling of an individual's behaviour, communication and interaction with a shared environment. Individual based modelling is not a new concept, nor is the idea of distributed simulations, the system detailed here offers a means of combining these two paradigms into one large-scale modelling environment. A key concept in this system is that each individual being modelled is implemented as a separate process. This atomisation of the model allows the simulation a greater flexibility, individuals can be rapidly developed and the simulation can be spread over a wide number of machines of varying architectures. In an attempt to produce a flexible, extensible, individual based model of a large number of individual subjects the client-server paradigm has been employed. Combining the individual-based modelling techniques with a client-server network architecture has been found to be quite straightforward with the added bonus of having communication between individuals included for free. The idea of considering the problem as one of interaction between an individual and the environment means that the problems normally associated with distributed simulations, those of continuity of world-views for different clients and of communication between clients, are easily solved. Although this system has been developed originally to allow simulations of the Mountain Gorilla (Gorilla Gorilla Beringe) population, the modelling methods employed have meant that almost any entity can be simulated with very little change to the basic simulation processes

Proposed Growth Strategy For Dian Institutepare
Abstract- The growth of formal education and non-formal education is very promising in Pare, the number of competitor in education institution is also increasing. The competition is getting tougher, requires every education learning doing innovation, development and improvement in their course program to get new target market. In order to overcome the competition, Dian Institute should know what positioning strategy could be used for prospective students especially for new target market The strategy formulation begins with analyzing external and internal environment to identify opportunities and threats of the industry as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the company using several methods such as Political, Legal, Socio-Cultural and Technology (PEST) Analysis, Porter’s Five Forces Analysis, Competitor Analysis, Current Business Model Analysis, and Value Chain Analysis. The SWOT derived from the external and internal analysis is then used to generate IFAS and EFAS score, and interpreted to the Grand Strategy Selection Matrix and Four basic strategic, determining the current position of the Dian Institute and the strategy it should execute. The result of the analysis indicates Dian Institute in quadrant 1 of grand strategy. Quadrant I of the Grand Strategy Matrix are in an excellent strategic position. For Dian Institute, continued concentration on current markets (market penetration and market development) and products (product development) are appropriate strategies.so that after succeeding in growth strategy, author make new business model canvas for Dian Institute for make this business better .All things considered, to analyze the current business situations and internal conditions of Dian Institute as the basis of strategies formulation. Vocational High School Dian Kirana 1 Sragen is Vocational High School which is currently being initiated into independent schools, it makes learning system independently, but the existing of infrastructure is still limited, for example the course subject delivery system as well as the tasks accumulation are still manual. With the existence of this thesis the author tries to help Vocational High School Dian Kirana 1 Sragen to step ahead in terms of IT to create a tool that allows students and teachers do the course subject delivery and tasks accumulation with online method without having to wait to meet the teacher in school and with this E-learning as a medium to deliver the course subject and tasks accumulation can improve the quality of the school.
To realize this goal, E-learning SMK Dian Kirana 1 Sragen is created. The method are data collection, analysis and system design requirements, the application system implementation, testing and Evaluation System Applications (blackbox / whitebox) and the preparation of reports.
It can be concluded that SMK Dian Kirana 1 Sragen E-learning has been successfully created and it can deliver the course subject in the form of PDF files and video (MP4) as well as it can perform tasks delivery.

PERANAN AUDIT OPERASIONAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN EFEKTIVITAS STRUKTUR PENGENDALIAN INTERN PENJUALAN PADA PT. POS INDONESIA (PERSERO)
Salah satu aktivitas perusahaan yang penting adalah pengelolaan aktivitas penjualan, karena dari aktivitas penjualan perusahaan memperoleh pendapatan yang sangat berguna untuk kelangsungan hidup perusahaan dan dari pendapatan perusahaan memperoleh laba. Dengan diperolehnya laba maka akibat dari adanya aktivitas penjualan ini, pihak manajemen mempunyai kewajiban untuk mengelola aktivitas penjualan secara hemat, efektif dan efisien.
Berdasarkan latar belakang pemikiran diatas, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai “Audit Operasional berperan dalam meningkatkan efektivitas struktur pengendalian intern penjualan“. Dalam penyusunan skripsi ini penelitian dilakukan pada PT. Pos Indonesia ( Persero ) KP II Bandung 40000 yaitu perusahaan milik negara yang bergerak dalam bidang pelayanan jasa.
Adapun tujuan penyusunan skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui berperan atau tidaknya pelaksanaan Audit Operasional, untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan struktur pengendalian intern atas aktivitas penjualan pada PT . Pos Indonesia, untuk mengetahui pelaksanan audit operasional atas kegiatan penjualan yang diterapkan pada PT . Pos Indonesia dan untuk mengetahui peranan audit operasional dalam meningkatkan efektivitas struktur pengendalian intern penjualan pada PT. Pos Indonesia. Untuk membuktikan hipotesis digunakan metode deskriptif analitis dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan meliputi : observasi, wawancara, penyebaran kuesioner dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian terebut akan dianalisis dan dibandingkan dengan teori yang relevan.
Berdasarkan hasil pengujian statistik yang dilakukan oleh penulis , Peranan Audit Operasional pada PT. Pos Indonesia ( Persero ) telah berperan dalam Meningkatkan Efektivitas Struktur Pengendalian Intern Penjualan sebesar 44,2 % sedangkan sisanya sebesar 55,8 % harus dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lainnya
The antecedents of salesperson deviant behavior: The role of work meaningfulness
Employees tend to engage in certain behavior, either good or deviant. Drawing from control theory, the employees’ behavior will be controlled as the organization can fulfill their needs. The ultimate objective of the study is to examine how Salesperson-Organization Fit will affect job stress and, in turn, salesperson deviant behavior. Besides, this study also examined how employees’ work meaningfulness moderates the relationship between job stress and workplace deviant behavior. This study employed hierarchical regression analysis and moderated regression analysis to test the hypotheses. Using 182 salespeople for both manufacturing and services companies, the results showed that Salesperson-Organization Fit negatively affects three types of deviant behavior: organizational deviance, interpersonal deviance, and frontline deviance. The results of this study also found a mixed result for job stress on deviant behavior. Job stress has a positive effect on organizational (β = 0.092; p < 0.1) and frontline deviance (β = 0.092; p < 0.05), while it has an insignificant effect on interpersonal deviance. Work meaningfulness only moderates the relationship between job stress and organizational deviance

En este informe se sintetizan las actividades de las practicas realizadas en la entidad asignada, la cual es la encargada de los impuestos a nivel nacional (DIAN). Las actividades de la entidad, están acorde y se relacionan con el perfil profesional de la carrera de contaduría pública. La práctica se centró en aplicar conocimientos adquiridos durante la formación profesional recibida por la universidad. Los principales resultados están relacionados con el manejo de procedimientos tributarios a cargo de la Dian, en el área de recaudo y cobranzas. Uno de los principales aportes durante el proceso de prácticas, fue capacitar al funcionario a cargo del autor en herramientas ofimáticas siendo principalmente el Excel.This report summarizes the activities of the practices carried out in the assigned entity, which is in charge of taxes at the national level (DIAN). The activities of the entity are consistent and related to the professional profile of the public accounting career. The practice focused on applying knowledge acquired during the professional training received by the university. The main results are related to the management of tax procedures in charge of the Dian, in the area of collection and collections.
