Método de autentificación óptica utilizando funciones físicas inclonables

    No full text

There are different terms concerning domestic violence against women. We understand domestic violence against women as a wide variety of behaviors perpetrated by women's partners, including emotional, physical and sexual abuse, and those activities targeting women's properties and close women's relatives in order to keep the relationship under control. There are different methodological approaches and particular techniques for studying the frequency and distribution of this problem, which contributes to a wide range of violence. Many studies focus on the analysis of centers for women. There is some research that has considered a base line population in the study design. Mexico has published only two studies of these characteristics, however, the results are not completely comparable. Despite these obstacles, the frequency with which women are abused by their partners in different countries is between 11% in Canada, to 67% in New Guinea. The objective of this communication is to present a pilot study on the findings of domestic violence against women, conducted in three socioeconomic groups in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara. The questionnaire has four sections. a) Socioeconomic characteristics; b) Reproductive health features; c) Women abuse and its consequences; and d) Services required by women in a relationship of abuse. Some ethic concerns, specifically those related to women's safety and training are discussed by the field work group, Forty six percent of the women recognized themselves as abused women. The main perpetrator was their partner, one third of the women were emotionally abused; one fifth physically abused and, 12% sexually abused. A temporal pattern of violent relationship was not identified. The consequences for women involved in such violent relations and some women's responses to abuse are discussed

Intergranular Cracking In Alloy 690 With Nb, Mo, And Hf Additions: In Situ Sem High Temperature Deformation Study

    No full text
The microstructure behavior during high temperature deformation of Ni-base alloys based on alloy 690 modified with Nb, Mo, and Hf additions were studied. Optical and electron microscopy were used to characterize these materials and the results were compared with Calphadbased modeling results. The alloys behavior was studied between 500 and 1000 °C using an in-situ high temperature deformation test. The role of precipitates on the grain boundary morphology and their effect on grain boundary sliding and the mechanism of ductility-dip cracking are discussed. Both, undulated grain boundaries and primary intra-granular precipitates improved the alloy DDC resistance. © 2012 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.706-709945950The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS),NSFArkoosh, M.A., Fiore, N.F., (1972) Metallurgical Transactions, 3, p. 2235Rhines, F.N., Wray, P.J., (1961) Transactions of the ASM, 54, p. 117Haddrill, D.M., Baker, R.G., (1965) British Welding Journal, p. 411Ii Noecker, F.F., Dupont, J.N., (2009) Welding Journal, 88, p. 7Nissley, N.E., Lippold, J.C., (2009) Welding Journal, 88, p. 131Ramirez, A.J., Lippold, J.C., (2004) Mat. Monitoring and modelling unsaturated and saturated flow to evaluate performance of slurry walls in Rho (Italy)

    No full text
A former chemical district close to Milan (Italy) is still source of contamination by chlorinated solvents in aquifers that supply drinking water, though slurry walls were built in the eighties to prevent spreading. An unsaturated-saturated numerical model was performed to assess overall performance of this physical confinement, and to infer hydraulic properties and estimated geometry of the barriers and the aquitard at this specific scale. Water leaking from the source and recharge of the aquifer under different scenario simulation were assumed as global performance indicators. Results showed that incidental material buried in the shallower portion of the investigated aquifer (bricks, waste material) dramatically affect the natural recharge of the encapsulated area. The decrease of ratio between leakage from lateral barriers and leakage from the bottom interface to the aquitard, from early stages of wet conditions (when saturated front is higher) to drought stages, was also computed.

Product Innovation Knowledge Transfer for Developing Countries: Towards a systematic Transfer Approach

    No full text
The transfer of knowledge on product innovation to small- and medium-sized enterprises and local knowledge institutions in developing countries is expected to be one of the key drivers for competiveness and economical growth, and a part of the solution to environmental and social challenge. In that respect, this PhD study focuses on how the process of the current knowledge transfer takes place and how it can be improved. A combination of literature review and empirical research has resulted into a conceptual framework to describe the complex and dynamic process of product innovation knowledge transfer to developing countries. In order to improve this process, a systematic approach has been developed and operationalized by a needs assessment tool and a design manual: The UNEP Design for Sustainability for Developing Economies (D4S-DE) Manual (www.d4s-de.org). Both tools have been tested in practice by practitioners and have been evaluated by an academic review board.Design EngineeringIndustrial Design Engineerin

Where do we draw lines: professional relationship boundaries and the child and youth care practitioner

    No full text
The question of professional relationship boundaries is a poignant one, in light of the many boundary grey-zones that are created by the variety of young people’s needs, practice settings and professional relationship contexts within the field of child and youth care. In order to support practitioners’ development of critical thought and awareness of professional boundaries, this paper applies a professional relationship boundaries conceptual framework to child and youth care work, and the literature is consulted to explore the impacts of boundary violations, influences on individual’s boundaries, cues to indicate blurring boundaries, and key strategies to maintain balanced boundaries
