O segundo volume inicia uma leitura dessas crônicas a partir de pressupostos teóricos de Mikhail Bakhtin, utilzando dele conceitos como cronotopo, dialogismo e carnavalização. A leitura aborda a importância dessas crônicas na conformação da imagem do seu autor e na compreensão de sua riqueza estilística, considerando-as como território em que duas representações - esporte e narrativa - se articulam

No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidde Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Literatura, Florianópolis, 1998No texto dramatúrgico, escrito para ser encenado, estão contidas, por meio das rubricas do artista dramaturgo, todas as diretrizes para sua concretização cênica, que ficará a cargo dos diretores e atores, artistas da encenação. Devido a esse fato singular que une duas formas artísticas distintas, a relação teatro e literatura apresenta-se íntima e complexa. Ao tentar interpretar o movimento do escritor na obra dramática implica o levantamento da questão do teatro e as singularidades que o diferenciam da literatura enquanto formas estéticas definidas. No conjunto das dezessete peças que compõem a obra dramatúrgica de Nelson Rodrigues, desfilam conflitos humanos intensificados pela profunda caracterização psicológica dos personagens. É inegável em sua obra as marcas do repórter policial, hábil observador social, e do leitor atencioso dos clássicos da dramaturgia moderna. Estas constatações geraram algumas indagações acerca das influências que o autor teria sofrido ao compor um universo ficcional tão intenso de humanidade e emoção. Por isso, rastreando suas Memórias, entrevistas e biografias, bem como os dramaturgos seus precursores, busca-se a compreensão das diretrizes que nortearam sua criação. O teatro de Nelson Rodrigues tem sido classificado pelo próprio autor e pela crítica geral de 'tragédias cariocas'. Por isso, fazem-se algumas incursões aos estudos dos elementos trágicos na obra de arte, da clássica à moderna, a fim de legitimar ao autor o conceito de tragicista. Entendendo que na base dos conflitos explorados pela dramaturgia rodrigueana, encontra-se a questão da sexualidade do indivíduo em confronto com a moral preconizada pela sociedade, busca-se a origem e questiona-se o valor dessa norma moral que, embora instituída para organizar os comportamentos sociais pode, muitas vezes, gerar conflitos abissais para o homem frente ao mundo que o rodeia

No full textRhinocricus vacariensis sp. nov. (Figs. 30–34) Types. Holotype male from Vacaria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, 29.III. 1987, C. S. Marros leg. (MCN 246). Etymology. The species epithet is a noun in apposition, referring to the type locality. Diagnosis. Rhinocricus vacariensis is close to Rhinocricus itauba by the distal small groove in the sternite of the anterior gonopod, but differs from this species by the posterior gonopod having the solenomere with rounded apex, and not indented as in R. itauba. Description. Male, holotype (Figs. 33, 34). With 54 segments. Length 78. Width 7. Clypeus olive-brown with spaced 2 – 2 supra-labial setae. Labrum yellowish-brown with 11 – 11 setae. Antennae brown, with numerous sensory cones (more than 20). Collum olive-brown with yellowish margins and rounded ventro-lateral borders. Prozonites olive-brown. Metazonites brown with yellowish margins; posterior ones with more intense yellow at margins. Segments 47–53 with whitish pseudosuture. Epiproct faded olive, yellowish and rounded distally, surpassing the paraproct. Paraproct olivaceous. Hypoproct yellowish. Legs brown, with enlongated coxae at third and fourth pairs. Ocelli black arranged in five rows in the following numeric order (dorsal to ventral): 9, 8, 7, 5, 4 right and 9, 8, 7, 5, 4 left. Ozopores black, beginning in the sixth segment. Scobinae beginning at eighth segment. Anterior gonopod (Figs. 30, 31). Sternite triangular, with small groove distally, not surpassing the coxite and the telepodite. Telepodite with rounded distal lobe. Wide coxite, internal lobe sharp distally not surpassing telepodite. Posterior gonopod (Fig. 32). Solenomere sharp and dug distally, longer as tibiotarsus. Tibiotarsus enlarged from its origin, apex lamellated. Female. Unknown. Distribution. Mosses from the Mascarenes - 7 : a small collection from Rodrigues
No full textFifteen taxa of mosses are reported from the island of Rodrigues. The second African report of Luisierella barbula (Schwaegr.) Steere bridges the Asian and New World disjunctions of this taxon. Three other species are reported new to the Mascarenes, i.e., Calymperes tenerum C.Müller var. tenerum, Fissidens ramulosus Mitten and Weissia edentula Mitten. Three are new to Rodrigues, i.e., Bryum truncorum Bridel, Fissidens sciophyllus Mitten and Vesicularia ayresii (Schimper ex Besch.) Broth
Engraçadinha : passagens e cortes / Nelson Rodrigues na televisão
No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e ExpressãoAsfalto Selvagem I e II - Engraçadinha seus amores e seus pecados foi escrito por Nelson Rodrigues, originalmente, sob a forma de folhetim, diariamente publicado no jornal Ultima Hora (1959-60), e seguindo o caminho de seus folhetins anteriores recebeu uma impressão posterior (1961) em forma de livro, "transformando-se" em romance. Em 1995, novamente, Asfalto Selvagem... migra para outro veículo da indústria cultural indo parar num seriado de televisão. Este trabalho propõe retraçar as pontes entre o folhetim como forma de literatura industrializada e a televisão como veículo da indústria cultural e como bem simbólico (na cultura brasileira), a fim de localizar Asfalto Selvagem: Engraçadinha seus amores e seus pecados em sua passagem do jornal à televisão em alguns aspectos implicados nesse processo. Em primeiro lugar, na obra de Nelson Rodrigues, Engraçadinha destaca-se em sua travessia social de gêneros e como romance-folhetim. Em segundo lugar, há uma re-montagem histórica da teledramaturgia como pano de fundo propiciador de uma exposição do folhetim de Nelson Rodrigues. Em terceiro lugar, a passagem, propriamente dita, do folhetim à imagem, se por um lado reforça o caráter conservador da TV, por outro, atualiza a transgressividade erótica presente no texto rodrigueano, já como uma adaptação ao século XX do folhetim do século XIX
Brazilian Furniture Design: Between Scandinavian Modernism and Italian Radical Design: An analysis of the chair designs by Sergio Rodrigues in the 1950’s and 1960’s
No full textThis paper aims to explore the ways in which the designs of Sergio Rodrigues can be comprehended within two European design movements: the Danish Modern, between 1940’s and the 1960’s, and the Italian Radical Design movement between 1966 and 1972. The research aims to answer the following question: ‘How do the chairs designed by Sérgio Rodrigues in the 1950’s and 1960’s express Brasilidade [Brazilianness] while contributing to international furniture design?’. The goal is to provide new insights on the the possible ways in which Rodrigues’ production was influenced by Danish Modern design, through a case study on the Chifruda armchair (1962), and how it subsequently impacted Italian Radical Design, through a case study on the Mole/Sheriff/Moleca armchair (1957/61/63). The rhetorics of design defined by Buchanan, which comprises technological reasoning, emotion, and character, is used as a framework to establish such comparisons. For each of the three aspects mentioned, one chair from the Danish Modern and the Radical Design are compared with the Chifruda and the Mole armchair, respectively. Apart from the case studies, the research methods include a document survey placed within the field of art and furniture design. The results show that Sergio Rodrigues did not only play a central role in shaping the national identity, also referred to as Brasilidade, in furniture design, but also contributed to the establishment of international furniture design trends.AR1A066Architectural History and TheoryArchitecture, Urbanism and Building Science

Male holotype from Montenegro, 29°41’19”S, 51°27’40”W, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, 11.VIII.1977, V. Pitoni <i>leg.</i> (MCN 0098). Paratypes: two ♂ and three ♀, same data as the holotype (MCN 0099).</p> <p>Etymology. The specific name is a Latin adjective derived from the type locality.</p> <p> Diagnosis. <i>Rhinocricus montenegrinus</i> sp. nov. resembles <i>R</i>. <i>jandirae</i> Schubart, 1944 (see SCHUBART, 1944:387, figs 54, 55) by the shape of the external branch of the posterior gonopod which is distally quadrate, but differs by the sternite of the anterior gonopod being longer than wide, distally projecting and rounded, and by a rounded distal lobe of the coxite (Fig. 11).</p> <p>Description. Male holotype (Figs 16, 17) with 52 rings. Length 58. Width 5. General coloration ligtht brown. Clypeus with spaced 2-2 supra-labral setae. Metazonites with posterior margins yellowish-brown. Ocelli black, arranged in seven rows. Ozopores beginning at the sixth ring. Scobinae semicircular beginning at sixth ring. Third and fourth pairs of legs with elongated coxae. Telson (Fig. 17) with epiproct elongated surpassing the paraprocts. Hypoproct semicircular.</p> <p>Anterior gonopod (Fig. 11) with subtriangular sternite longer than wide, distally projecting and rounded. Sternite longer than coxite but shorter than telopodite. Coxite with evident lobe, shorter than telopodite and sternite. Telopodite with evident distal lobe.</p> <p>Posterior gonopod (Fig. 12). Solenomere distally pointed, shorter than external branch. External branch lamellate, distally quadrate.</p> <p>Female paratype with 53 rings. Length 56. Width 5. General coloration light brown.</p> <p>Distribution. Traces of performativity at Nelson Rodrigues s plays
No full textThis dissertation investigates the relationships promoted by Nelson Rodrigues
between the text and the scene, which reveals on his playwriting evidences of
performativity. Therefore, the theoretical basis used here includes studies of
performance, pragmatic and discourse analysis, offering tools to enable this
performativity to be seen under different approaches. The second moment of this
dissertation is reserved for the verification of these theoretical principles and the
dramaturgy of Rodrigues, through the analysis of Anjo Negro, Valsa nº6 and A
Falecida. The traces of performativity are observed in each one of these plays
through their emphasized formal characteristics: while the theory of the speech acts
tries to evidence the performativity present in the dialogues of A Falecida; the study
of the poetic function of language permits to ascertain traces of performativity
involved in the writing of Valsa nº 6. Also, the performance studies enable the
understanding of performative content revealed in the dramaturgical architecture of
Nelson Rodrigues as a scenic writer, especially in Anjo Negro.Esta dissertação busca investigar as relações que Nelson Rodrigues promove entre
o texto e a cena, o que faz com que sua dramaturgia revele traços de
performatividade. Para tanto, a base teórica aqui utilizada contempla estudos da
performance, da pragmática e da análise do discurso, que oferecem instrumentos
para que essa performatividade possa ser surpreendida sob diferentes enfoques. O
segundo momento desta dissertação é reservado à verificação desses princípios
teóricos e a dramaturgia rodriguiana, através da análise de Anjo Negro, Valsa nº 6 e
A Falecida. Os traços de performatividade são verificados em cada uma destas
peças através de suas características formais colocadas em destaque: enquanto a
teoria dos atos da fala busca evidenciar a performatividade presente nos diálogos de
A Falecida; o estudo da função poética da linguagem permite averiguar os vestígios
de performatividade implicados na escrita de Valsa nº 6. Já os estudos performáticos

It is common to find more than one species of Oiovelia in the same foam mass and O. cunucunumana (Fig. 15) occurred together with O. viannai (Figs 16–17) in the State of Minas Gerais, at a brown water stream without formation of foam (Rodrigues et al. 2014). The same two species were found co-occurring in foam mass from a dark water stream in the State of Bahia, which represents the first record of the genus from Northeastern Brazil. Oiovelia cunucunumana is the species with the largest range within the genus, with records from Venezuela to Argentina. Oiovelia viannai is a recently described species, and until now was known only from the type locality in the State of Minas Gerais, Southeastern Brazil. The occurrence of specimens of Oiovelia outside foam masses appears to be a secondary option, because individuals are rarely found in streams or rivers without foam. Additionally, in field trips in the State of Amazonas, northern Brazil, it was noticed that specimens seem to rest on twigs or banks of streams at night, since the number of specimens present on foam at this period is much lower than during the day (HDDR, personal observations).Published as part of Rodrigues, Higor D.
