    ABSTRACT This text is the result of a conversation between Monica Tavares and Eduardo Navas about the act of remixing. It is a reflection on the subjects discussed in the articles delivered by the students (Ana Elisa Carramaschi, Gabriela Previdello, Jair Molina, Lali Krotoszynski, Leonardo Lima, Maurício Trentin, Priscila Guerra e Rodrigo Campos) of the course “Principles of Data Analysis and Remix” taught in March 2015 in the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts at USP (PPGAV-USP), under responsibility of Professors Dr. Monica Tavares and Dr. Eduardo Navas. The course introduced basic principles of data visualization and their relation to the principles of remixing. An emphasis was placed on analyzing information, while also developing strong design skills. The relation between image and text was explored, which means that students learned how to analyze content and form while understanding their similarities and differences

Programa de Pós-Graduação em LiteraturaEsta tese tem como proposição investigar arqueologicamente o procedimento de escrita da literatura de Gonçalo M. Tavares a partir de uma ideia que ele propõe também como política para o seu trabalho: a literatura como um corpo-dançarino entre o poder da ficção e o ensaio [como experiência intelectual livre e também como ato em si, repetição, treino] e como um pensamento sucessivo entre um passado reminiscente e um presente ativo que se apresenta como uma forma de resistência no mundo agora; a literatura como um movimento arqueológico de colisão dos tempos com o espaço e como desejo político do espírito livre e sem gravidade, quando a escrita vem, com Nietzsche, como um corpo forte que se pergunta o tempo inteiro se é capaz de dançar. Investigar os modos de operação de uma escrita que procura seguir de perto os movimentos de um dançarino sutil [conceito do próprio Gonçalo M. Tavares] e tomar para si uma mobilidade de dança a partir do uso de uma reconfiguração do espaço da história - principalmente nos projetos O Bairro e O Reino. E assim, nestes projetos, ler criticamente como esta escrita é capaz de inserir-se seguindo a morfologia esférica proposta por Peter Sloterdijk.The aim of this thesis is to investigate archaeologicalarchaeological ly the writing procedures of the literature by Gonçalo M. Tavares based on an ideia that he also suggests as policy for his work: the literature as a dancing-body between the power of the fiction and the essay [as free intellectual experience and also as an act itself, repetition, training], as well as a successive thought between a reminiscent past and an active present manifested as a way of resistance in the world now; thus, the literature conceived as an movement of collision among the times and the space and also as political desire for the free spirit without gravity, when the writing comes, with Nietzsche, as a strong body that asks the whole time if it is able to dance. The thesis also investigates the ways of operation of a writing that intends to follow the movements of a subtle dancer [a concept by Gonçalo M. Tavares], and take to itself a mobility of dance supported on the use of a reconfiguration of the history space - mainly in the projects O Bairro and O Reino. Finally, in those projects, it also aimed to read critically the way that writing can be representative of the spherical morphology proposed by Peter Sloterdijk

    In the sequence of the dissertation, Jorge Pinheiro: The Referential (2010) [Master’s degree in Painting] in FBAUL, aiming at the figurative work of the author in the last decade of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st century, the current project of research emerges, deepening the knowledge about the representation and figuration of the pictorial work produced during this period of time. The figurative painting of Jorge Pinheiro, produced over 1990-2010, resorting to models of the Model, is the representation of images culturally produced in images obscurely dreamt in the game Composition and Representation. Jorge Pinheiro states that he first starts from the titles he searches for in Literature. Provocative, the title intertwined with the representation reaches the observer. The recognition of the appropriated figurative fragments is the key to decoding his painting. The initial spectator is the one the author looks for. The myths and symbolic values are represented in the Painting. They are representations of representations on behalf of the shapes of power in Composition and Representation. The Symbol-Figures of Representation taken from Painting, Photography, Cinema, and Photojournalism are sublimated icons, corrupted or ruined in the artwork of Jorge Pinheiro. The artwork questions its legitimacy and simultaneously reiterates it, reflects the concept of originality in the work’s identity, identifies the first authors, and makes us think of the authorship of the second authors, highlighting the position of the artist in relation to society and to his own craft with historical background. The cultural image prevails in the game of representation and aesthetic discourse because the object of imitation is not an object but an idea. Reinventing the Memory recall legacy, the painting of Jorge Pinheiro is a permeable territory where Painting evokes Painting, Art, and Western Humanistic Values, allowing a whole generation to identify itself in the artwork and question our way of being in the worl

    Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Ciências Jurídicas, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito, Florianópolis, 2012.Nesse trabalho será explorada a ideia de descentralização política e administrativa no Brasil no período do Segundo Reinado, no pensamento político de Tavares Bastos. Esse autor inova ao apresentar uma proposta de reforma que pretende solucionar de forma conjunta os problemas políticos e sociais de sua época. Questões como a educação, a abolição da escravidão, a imigração estrangeira, a liberdade de cabotagem, são alguns dos temas levantados pelo autor nesse sentido. Pretendia propor um modelo de Estado que tinha como principal objetivo o desenvolvimento moral e material do país. Para tanto adotou a via da descentralização política e administrativa, como forma de promoção de uma política voltada para a liberdade, preocupada com a sorte do povo e comprometida com o desenvolvimento do país. Assim, pretendeu-se relacionar os direitos fundamentais defendidos e promovidos pelo autor para demonstrar que a descentralização aparece como aspecto fundamental para o exercício da liberdade e à promoção do progresso. Abstract: In this paper we explore the idea of political and administrative decentralization in Brazil during the Empire, the political thoughts of Tavares Bastos. This author innovates to propose a reform intended to address jointly the political and social problems of his time. Issues such as education, the abolition of slavery, foreign immigration, freedom of cabotage between ports, are some of the issues brought by the author in this regard. He intended to propose a model of state which had as main objective the moral and material development of the country. For both adopted the path of political and administrative decentralization as a way of promoting a political freedom, worried about the fate of the people and committed to the development of the country. Thus, we sought to relate the fundamental rights protected and promoted by the author to demonstrate that decentralization appears as a fundamental aspect to the exercise of freedom and the promotion of progress
