    The performance of the university library must always be evaluated and assessed. Assessment or evaluation activities usually have to use standard measuring tools, so that the results can be accounted for. The results of the evaluation carried out correctly can be used as a reference and basis for library development in the future. This research is an evaluated study of the library service performance evaluation of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya (UINSA). The standards used as evaluation tools are the National Standards for College Libraries (SNP 13 of 2017) and the Standards for libraries in higher education issued by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA). 2018. Using both instruments of national and international standards, the researcher wants to know the level of achievement of UINSA's library service performance from these two levels. This study uses the collecting data methods, namely documentation, questionnaires, and observations. Documentation is used to evaluate performance based on SNP 13 in 2017 while a questionnaire is used to evaluate performance based on the Standard for libraries in higher education. Documentation guide using the university library accreditation instrument. Meanwhile, the questionnaire was compiled based on the performance indicators of the 3 (three) principles of Standard for libraries in higher education, namely Professional Values, Education role, and Discovery. The results showed that the performance of UINSA Library services based on SNP 13 of 2017 had reached the standard, with a value of 4.6. The Evaluation based on the Standard for libraries in higher education, it also exceeds the standard with a value of 4.2. The results of this study became the basis for the preparation of a long-term library development policy document as part of the quality manual document. A document that will form the basis of library development for the next 5 years

    Muhammadiyah University Sukabumi (UMMI) is the first university in Sukabumi City. There are six faculties in UMMI, one of which is the Faculty of Science and Technology (FSAINTEK). The IT Study Program assigns Academic Supervisors (DPA) through the Dean Dean Decrees (SK) and these provisions are listed in the Academic Guidance Book of the UMMI IT Study Program. To assist the lecture and guidance process, Muhammadiyah University Sukabumi has provided online services, namely the existence of the Academic Information System (SIAK). Coaching activities conducted between students and DPA (Academic Advisors) are not effective, not as stated in the Academic Guidance Book of the UMMI IT Study Program. Therefore the authors propose research with the title "Web-based Academic Guidance Application (Case study: Informatics Engineering Study Program of Muhammadiyah University Sukabumi). With the making of the application, the author can help the process of academic guidance activities between DPA and students, as well as assisting DPA in conveying information to parents / guardians of students around academic and non-academic through the SMS Gateway service. In developing this system the author uses the PHP programming language and the database used is MySQL. The system development methodology that I use is the waterfall method, system design uses UML (Unifield Modeling Language) and software to send SMS using GAMMU.     Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi di Indonesia dapat dilihat dari posisi dan peringkatnya dalam webometric. Penilaian dalam menentukan peringkat repository webometrics ini didasarkan pada beberapa kriteria, di anataranya adalah tingkat visibility yang dipengaruhi oleh software yang digunakan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, lebihdari 50% institutional repository di Indonesia menggunakan aplikasi Eprints. Sementara Dspace merupakan aplikasi terbanyak kedua yang digunakan di Indonesia. GDL (Ganesha Digital Library) meskipun sebuah aplikasi karya anak bangsa, namun telah banyak ditinggalkan oleh penggunanya karena tidak dikembangkan secara berkesinambungan oleh developpernya. Beberapa perguruan tinggi yang semula menggunakan GDL, telah bermigrasi keaplikasi Eprints termasuk UIN SunanAmpel Surabaya, dan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta

Therefore a cooperative network is not only necessary but also urgent. With a good cooperative network among Islamic Academic libraries in Indonesia, they can develop their academic potency as fast as possible. The common problems of libraries around Islamic University in Indonesia such as lack of collections, space and human resources can be solved by resource sharing and inter library loan. Libraries of Islamic Universities in Indonesia that were joined in cooperative network has an embryo of Islamic bibliographic, IIBN (Indonesian Islamic Bibliography Network) is inter library network between Islamic universities in Indonesia. Since December 1, 2006 the official web site of IIBN available on the net, it has internally tested offline at Sunan Ampel’s library. The team of IIBN portal suggested that this portal will give more easy way to exchange the information among IIBN members. IIBN can be access by www.iibn-id.org as union catalog and the digital collection in full text document can be access by www.hub.iibn.info . Although it’s a good idea to reach an achievement to forward together in resource sharing but it isn’t easy. In the fact, there are many problems to fulfill the program. Almost of Islamic university’s libraries have not connection to internet, and some have not automation service and IT staffs whose maintain the database. Beside those problems IIBN is not familiar event for members, so the strategy of socialization must be removed. As prospect, IIBN is a model of library services that allow to resource sharing among Islamic universities in Indonesia who have the gaps of information access one. According to the team of IIBN that it can be access by member although their institution have not connected by internet, by the dial up the member can access the resource from IIBN database

    Persepsi Pustakawan Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri di Indonesia terhadap Artificial Intelligence

    Library development is inseparable from technological developments, and one of the latest innovations that is gaining attention is artificial intelligence (AI). Librarian as profession is one of the pillars of library development, so it is important to study how they perceive and respond to AI developments. This research uses a quantitative design with a survey approach. The target of this research is the librarians of Universitas Islam Indonesia who are members of the WhatsApp Group of the Association of Islamic Higher Education Libraries (APPTIS) with 316 members as the population. The survey used Google form media whose links were distributed through the GWA from May 28 to June 2, 2024. There were 75 respondents from 15 provinces in Indonesia consisting of UIN, IAIN, and STAIN.  The survey results show that 44% of respondents have a good perception of AI and make the use of AI in daily life a habit. While 56% have not made the use of AI a daily habit. The survey also found that Youtube is the most popular application used among librarians, followed by Google products (Google Scholar, Google Translate) which are more preferred than ChatGPT. Likewise, Google Trend is more preferred than elicit, litmaps and SciSpace. The survey also shows that librarians in Central Java are more likely to deliver AI materials to users than librarians in other regions. The results of the analysis also show that there is no difference in the level of perception based on the librarian\u27s job title, institution status, or region

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami perilaku dan pola pencarian serta kendala-kendala proses pencarian informasi dosen sehingga dapat dijadikan dasar bagi perpustakaan dalam menyusun kebijakan pengembangan koleksi dan pengembangan strategi layanan yang lebih efektif. Model pencarian informasi yang digunakan adalah model pencarian informasi untuk professional (Leckie, 1997). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, peneliti mewawancarai 7 dosen sebagai informan. Hasilnya adalah bahwa perilaku pencarian informasi dosen dapat dibedakan menjadi 3 pola sesuai dengan peran yang dijalankan. Dosen dengan peran sebagai pendidik lebih memilih koleksi pribadinya dalam bentuk buku, sebagai peneliti mereka lebih memanfaatkan perpustakaan, sedangkan sebagai pengabdi masyarakat mereka lebih membutuhkan pengalaman dan pengetahuan pribadi
