Opinnäytetyössä tarkastellaan mandala-kuviota symbolisesta, sekä eri kulttuurillisistä lähtökohdista. Mandala-kuvioinnin lisäksi opinnäytetyössä perehdytään amulettien, etnisten korujen sekä kivien käyttöön liittyviin merkityksiin ja uskomuksiin. Aiheita käsitellään universaalista näkökulmasta. Lisäksi kartoitetaan mytologisten korujen jo olemassa olevien korualan yritysten tarjontaa. Tietoperustan pohjalta tekijä toteutti oman mandala-kuvioista inspiraationsa saaneen amulettikorusarjan. Tavoitteena oli käyttää korusarjan valmistuksessa perinteisiä korunvalmistustekniikoita. Korusarjalleen tekijä haki palautetta korumuotoilun ammattilaisilta. Oman korusarjan toteuttamisen lisäksi tavoitteena oli opinnäytetyöprosessin kautta selkeyttää tekijän tulevaisuuden näkymää korumuotoilijana. This thesis reviews a mandala-shape from symbolic and cultural perspectives. Abstrakti Tämän master-tutkinnon tekijä on toiminut 20 vuotta kuvataiteilijana. Ihmiskäsityksen perustana on Lauri Rauhalan eksistentialisen fenomenologian filosofia. Tutkimusaineisto toi esiin lasten kokemusmaailmaan liittyviä tärkeitä osatekijöitä, joista muodostuu lapsen projektin situationaalinen kokemusmaailma. Myös kuvataidekoulun opettajat tekivät tutkimuksen edetessä oman mandalansa. Opettajien mandalaprosessin aineiston keruuseen käytettiin kyselyä koska he työskentelivät eri työpisteissä eikä kehittämishankkeen tekijällä ollut mahdollisuutta havainnoida heidän työskentelyprosessiaan. Abstract The author, who is Master´s Degree student, has worked for over 20 years as a visual artist. During these years he had been studied more art and education (Post graduate diploma in art therapy, degree of professional visual arts teacher) and had been involved in various art exhibitions showing own paintings, sculptures and installations. Today he also works with computer, preparing graphics. When he worked as a children’s visual arts teacher he got interested in the mandala paintings and wanted to implement the process of making them in the visual arts education. The purpose of the development project was to find out how the process of the mandala painting connives the growth and the development of the children and what are its benefits when developing the teaching methods and the curriculum. In this development project the dialogical method of the qualitative research was used, and in the analysis of the material was used the reflection related to the phenomenological research tradition, eg. utilising literature in the visual arts. His idea of man was based on the existentialistic phenomenology (philosophy) by Lauri Rauhala. The development project presents important factors connected to the children’s world of experience. These factors formed the situational world of experience of a child. Also the visual arts school teachers created a mandala of their own as the development project progressed. A questionnaire was used to analyze the teachers’ mandala process as they worked in the individual work stations to made it impossible for writer to observe the work process. Based on the material, he reached a conclusion that the comprehension towards the worldview of the children increases, and the relationship between a child and a teacher deepens and gets firmer. Also the teachers understand the problematic analysis of the mandala working method once they created a mandala themselves. Through this development project the author became convinced that the mandala painting process advocates an important part in the visual arts school syllabus, and it can be utilised in the visual arts education for children of all ages. This development project has expanded the author’s own learning and perception. The project has also developed his artistic expression. The author’s identity as a visual artist, teacher and counselor was strengthened through this project

Analiza i interpretacja filmu "Wesele" Andrzeja Wajdy. Analizuje jedność warstwy wizualnej i dźwiękowej filmu. The author calls on the concept of the mandala by C. G. Jung as ideogram expressing the content of the mental state in the current stage of the development of the inner man. The interpretation of Wedding as a mandala presents the location of the action as a quadrilateral inscribed in a circle. The analysis reveals the three sequences comprising the film, the fractal triadic structure of the whole work, the metamorphosis of the characters, and its close relationship with changing time and space and the importance of vision scenes. The author discusses the mythic-initiation structures and the rite of passage structure using the interpretative framework of Arnold van Gennep. He analyzes the unity of the visual and audio layers of the film, interpreted in the light of Paul Florensky’s ideas on golden highlighting in Russian orthodox icons. He discusses the colour scheme of the film, which is judged to be a remarkable achievement by Witold Sobociński cinematography. He shows the symbolic meaning of the colours that refer to color semantics in Polish folk culture and their relationship with the symbolism of the mandala form and the metamorphosis of the characters

ABSTRACT Rice plant diseases, such as bacterial leaf blight, leaf blast, and brown spot, pose a serious threat to national food productivity. Manual visual identification by farmers remains inefficient and prone to misdiagnosis. This study aims to implement deep learning technology using the YOLOv11 algorithm to develop an automated detection system for rice leaf diseases. The Research and Development (R&D) methodology was employed, encompassing stages from dataset collection, labeling, and preprocessing to model training and implementation into a web-based application using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TensorFlow.js. The dataset consisted of 3,087 augmented images, partitioned into training (70%), validation (20%), and testing (10%) sets. The model was trained for 100 epochs within the Google Colab environment. Results from the testing phase indicated that the model achieved an average Mean Average Precision ([email protected]) of 86.8%. While the model demonstrated high performance in detecting healthy leaves (mAP 97.6%), the accuracy for specific disease classes was comparatively lower. The resulting web-based system is functionally capable of detecting diseases. This study concludes that while the implementation of YOLOv11 is technically effective, further refinement in diagnostic accuracy for specific diseases is required before the system can be fully reliable for field applications.
