This study aimed at finding out drug planning in St. Madyang Hospital Palopo,South Sulawesi, using ABC Critical Index. This operational research is designed to create a maintenance model for the medicine stock. In this research, the following analyses were used: ABC usage analysis, ABC investing score, and ABC critical index. To complement the research, in depth interviews with various informants were also conducted.
The stock maintenance method at St. Madyang Hospital Palopo, South Sulawesi has yet to be implemented in an opimal way to reach the desired efficiency and effectiveness level. Due to resources limitation, it is advised to prioritize the medicinal stock maintenance using the ABC analysis methods. This method helps the management team to focus more on the product that have higher value over the others.
ABC Critical Index method helps out hospital effectively plan drug consumption by considering drug: 1) utilization, 2) investment value, and 3) critical status (vital, essential and non essential). The standard therapy is another important aspect in drug planning for doctors in prescribing therapy.

Peningkatan Peran Ibu Dalam Perawatan Bayi “Metode Kanguru” Di Puskesmas Ponrang Kabupaten Luwu: A. Helga M, Zamli, Freddy Chandra M, Reski Ihsan H

Metode Kanguru merupakan teknik perawatan bayi berbasis kontak kulit-ke-kulit yang terbukti efektif dalam mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi, terutama bayi prematur dan berat lahir rendah. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan peran aktif ibu dalam menerapkan metode kanguru di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Ponrang, Kabupaten Luwu. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19-26 Juli 2025 dengan sasaran 65 ibu yang memiliki bayi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan partisipatif, demonstrasi praktik langsung, edukasi berbasis bukti, dan penyuluhan interaktif. Tahapan pelaksanaan mencakup koordinasi dan persiapan, pelaksanaan program berupa pelatihan teori dan praktik, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang sangat signifikan, dimana persentase ibu dengan pengetahuan baik meningkat dari 12,3% menjadi 82,6% setelah pelatihan. Sebaliknya, persentase ibu dengan pengetahuan kurang menurun drastis dari 64,6% menjadi 9,5%. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas ibu dalam memberikan perawatan bayi yang optimal dan memperkuat peran Puskesmas Ponrang sebagai pusat pelayanan kesehatan yang proaktif. Keberhasilan program menunjukkan bahwa intervensi berbasis edukasi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan kesehatan ibu dan anak di tingkat komunitas.

Faktor Determinan Fertilitas Remaja di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur: Determinants of Adolescent Fertility in East Nusa Tenggara Province
No full textIntroduction: Adolescent fertility caused various negative consequences starting from the occurrence of adolescent fertility include health, social and economic impacts. Purpose: to study the determinants of adolescent fertility in the Province of East Nusa Tenggara. Methods: This study uses secondary survey data in the 2017 IDHS. The sample was adolescents aged 15-19 years who were recorded as selected samples in East Nusa Tenggara Province as many as 401 adolescents. Analysis using multiple logistic regression with predictive factor model. Results: The highest aOR value is marital status 17.25 (95% CI 6.60-45.04). Education only finished elementary school aOR 4.94 (95%CI 1.08-22.45). Never accessed the internet aOR 3.37 (95%CI 0.85-13.37). For every 1 year increase in adolescent age, the odds increased by 3.32 (95% CI 1.71-6.46) or 19 years old had the highest odds. Didn’t work aOR 3.00 (95% CI 0.71-12.66). Living in rural areas aOR 2.55 (95%CI 0.53-12.13). Low knowledge of family planning methods has an AOR of 0.26 (0.05-1.22). Conclusion: The determinants of adolescent fertility in NTT Province are age, education, occupation, marital status, place of residence, internet use and knowledge of family planning methods
The Impact of Volcanic Eruptions on Mental Health: A Narrative Review
No full textNatural disasters such as volcanic eruptions are difficult to avoid and difficult to predict when they will occur. These events not only cause material, physical, economic and environmental losses, they can even affect a person's mental health. This study aims to determine the impact of a volcanic eruption disaster on mental health. The research method used is narrative review. The search for journals and articles is done through the Google Scholar database. Journals were selected based on the desired criteria, namely the impact of a volcanic eruption on mental health. The results of a narrative review of 7 related literature show that the majority of survivors of the volcanic eruption who experienced post-disaster trauma are women in the adult and elderly age categories. Disaster areas with high exposure or near volcanic areas have a higher risk of trauma, anxiety and mental stress than areas with low exposure. Symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can last for years or even decades. The mental stress and psychological morbidity experienced by survivors will decrease over time. Provide cognitive intervention which is one effective way to deal with anxiety
