No full textNeste texto, apresento um ensaio teórico acerca da movimentação de jovens estudantes, no qual destaco o processo educativo desses como privilegiado para socialização das pessoas envolvidas e, logo, para a manutenção ou (des)(re)construção de signos e significados que permeiam suas identidades. Parto de narrativas relatadas por jovens estudantes e egressos do Ensino Médio do Rio de Janeiro que possuem identidades não-binárias para o gênero em entrevistas e, ainda, de narrativas construídas em uma roda de conversa sobre gênero, sexualidade e movimentação estudantil realizada em uma das escolas públicas ocupadas por estudantes no mesmo estado, em 2016. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Get PDFEsse artigo é fruto de inquietações e desdobramentos de uma pesquisa de mestrado em Educação concluída no ano de 2018. Nela nos debruçamos sobre narrativas de pessoas que se identificavam com a não-binaridade de gênero e se diferenciavam do ser mulher ou ser homem. Para esse trabalho temos como objetivo principal refletir sobre a própria pesquisa em sua dimensão metodológica e de escrita encarando-a como um processo de experiência, resistência e invenção de si, tanto para os sujeitos que dizem de suas experiências na não-binaridade quanto para nós enquanto pesquisadores. Como metodologia da pesquisa, nós assumimos encontros com entrevistas narrativas e é esse material, junto às nossas próprias impressões do processo, que utilizamos como base para a discussão nesse texto. Ao narrar experiências, esses sujeitos nos possibilitam (re)criar modos de pensar também as identidades, os sentidos de pertencimento e a materialidade que tais sentidos expressam em suas existências.Palavras-chave: Não-binaridade de gênero. Narrativa. Experiência.ABSTRACTThis article is the result of concerns and developments of a master’s research in Education of the year 2018. In this research the focus was the narratives of people who identified with non-binarity of gender and differed from being a woman or being a man. For this text we have as main objective to reflect on the own research in its methodological dimension and of writing considering it as a process of experience, resistance and invention of itself so much for the subjects that say of their experiences in the non-binarity as for us while researchers. As a research methodology, we take meetings with narrative interviews and it is this material, together with our own impressions of the process, that we use as a basis for discussion in this text. In narrating experiences, these subjects enable us (re) to create ways of thinking also the identities, the senses of belonging and the materiality that these senses expresses in their existences.Keywords: Non-binarity of gender. Get PDFEste artigo é um exercício de experimentação de escrita acerca da Educação Ambiental e sua relação com a formação docente. O foco principal é pensar as éticas ambientais (Daniel Braga Lourenço) que parecem movimentar as licenciaturas. Para isso, partimos de uma atividade de um projeto de pesquisa e extensão que ocorreu no ano de 2023 em uma Universidade Pública no estado de Minas Gerais. Na atividade, foram recolhidas impressões de crianças estudantes, da Educação Básica sobre a natureza. Reunimos essas impressões em um conto-discussão que debate as temáticas propostas pelo foco do artigo. Não buscamos uma análise detalhada de cada registro, mas seguindo métodos, pesquisas e escrita propostos por Glória Anzaldúa e também por Renata Lima Aspis, procuramos compor histórias com conceitos, componho com epistemologias dissidentes um arcabouço de discussões que podem ser instrumentos ao questionamento.
