The spreadsheet contains data from 101 children between 4.5 and 6 years tested in the UK and in Germany in 2016. Children were assigned to one of two conditions (baseline, transmission chain). The data contains information about:- date of birth- date of testing- age in months- sex- ethnicity- condition (baseline, transmission chain)- if applicable: number of chain- if applicable: position/generation within chain (ranging from 1 to 10)Children were asked to build something as tall as possible using 100 g of plasticine and 30 plastic sticks. (this is an adaptation of the "spaghetti tower task" (Caldwell & Millen, 2008). Building time was 10 min.The main dependent variables are:- final tower height (= height of the tower that was standing at the end of the testing session)- tower shape (using the classification system in Reindl, Apperly, Beck, & Tennie, in press)The spreadsheet also contains data on:- whether the "final tower" was also the tower with the maximum height (yes/no)- the height of the tower with the maximum height- the shape of the tower with the maximum height- actual testing duration (max 10 min

Governors’ priorities: Completion and productivity in an era of scarcity is a podcast interview with Travis Reindl, Program Director with the National Governors Association. Reindl discusses why governors are interested in completion rates within higher education and offers insights and recommendations for state policy makers regarding the future of postsecondary education. Specifically, Reindl asserts the need for a paradigm shift amongst the American public and policy makers regarding how we define postsecondary education and also how we fund postsecondary education. Reindl offers looking at funding higher education as a form of investment with a focus on producing yields that are best suited for the state or regional economy. Reindl also further advocates for flexibility in exploring alternative methods of education delivery and encouraging education innovation. Interview facilitation, commentary and discussion presented by Kathryn Dodge, Alison Griffin, and Elise Scanlon of Radio Higher E
