Designing a Collaborative Robot Workstation
Lõputöö eesmärgiks oli projekteerida koostööroboti töölaud. Selleks valiti välja sobilik lahendus ja viisid, kuidas tagada kõik eesmärkides loetletud tingimused. Lisaks on võimalik edaspidises tootearenduses integreerida rohkem automaatikat, mis tagaks sujuvama töövoo. Lõputöö esimeses peatükis analüüsiti turul pakutavaid lahendusi. Tehti põhjalik uurimistöö seoses kohalikus regioonis pakutavate koostöörobotite seas, kaardistati nende võimekust ja koostati pingerida vastavalt seatud eesmärkidele. Teises peatükis keskenduti disainile, mille puhul koostati esmalt üksikasjalik loend lähteandmetest. Teisalt juureldi võimalike lahenduste üle, mis saaks prototüübi aluseks. Järgmises peatükis loodi eelneva info põhjal uus disain. Viimases peatükis käsitletakse kogu ettevõtmise majanduslikku poolt ja hinnatakse projekteeritud toote konkurentsivõimet. Lõputöö tulemusega jääb autor rahule. Töö käigus leiti lahendus algselt püstitatud probleemidele ning loodud on hea baas edaspidiseks tootearenduseks. Koostöös Tallinna Tehnikaülikooli AIRE meeskonnaga sai lahendatud ka loodava kvaliteedikontrollimooduli integratsiooni kitsaskohad ning loodav moodul on ühildatav disainitud töölauaga. Töö analüüsivas osas sai tehtud ka põhjalik valim koostöörobotite seast. Lõputöö põhjal luuakse töölaud, mille edasist arendust juhib lõputöö teema välja pakkunud ettevõte. Tänu projekteerimisel kasutatud alumiinium ekstrudeeritud profiili kasutamisele on võimalik ka antud lahendust kerge vaevaga muuta ning see muudab prototüübi edaspidise arenduse lihtsamaks. Raami materjalina kasutatud 6061 seeria alumiinium pakub suurt eelist terase kõrval kaalu näol, tagades selle juures piisava jäikuse kogu konstruktsioonile. Loodud lahenduse kulu materjalide näol on igati konkurentsivõimeline ning annab eelise turul konkureerimiseks. Lõputöö edasiarendusena on ettevõte võtnud plaani lisada sahtlitele ajamid, mis muudaksid tervet töövoogu sujuvamaks ning ka kiiremaks. Lisaks on võetud plaani koostööroboti ümberseadistamise lihtsustamine, mis tagaks tohutu ajavõidu ning suurendaks roboti kasutus otstarbekust ka väiksematele partiidele. Järgmiseks on võetud eesmärgiks ka masinnägemise võimekuse analüüs antud kontekstis ja panna paika edasised sammud arenduse osas.The thesis aimed to design a collaborative robot workstation meeting the criteria set by the company – Skarcon Machining OÜ. The list of requirements was developed based on three years’ experience with Universal Robots UR5 and initial desktop. The list states the need for mobile workstation between workbenches, enlargement of stock capacity was essential, integration with the AIRE built quality control module and compactness in floor space. For this purpose, a suitable solution was selected, and ways to ensure all the listed conditions in the objectives. The first chapter of the thesis analyzed the solutions available in the market. A comprehensive study was conducted regarding the collaborative robots available in the local region, mapping their capabilities, and compiling a ranking according to the set objectives. The second chapter focused on design, starting with compiling a detailed list of input data. Various potential solutions were considered as a basis for the prototype. The next chapter developed a new design based on the previous information. The last chapter addresses the economic aspects of the entire endeavor and evaluates the competitiveness of the designed product. Compared to possible solutions available on the market, the result was unacceptable. The price range of the most suitable solution was over the budget, exceeding the designed result by four times. The author is satisfied with the outcome of the thesis. A solution to the initially stated problems was found during the work, laying a good foundation for future product development. Collaboration with the Tallinn University of Technology AIRE team also resolved the integration issues of the quality control module being developed, and the created module is compatible with the designed workstation. A thorough selection of collaborative robots was also made in the analytical part of the work. Based on the thesis, a workstation is created, the further development of which is led by the company that proposed the thesis topic. Thanks to the use of aluminum extruded profile in the design, this solution can be easily modified, making the prototype's future development easier. The use of 6061 series aluminum as the frame material offers a significant advantage over steel in terms of weight while ensuring sufficient rigidity for the entire structure. The cost of the created solution in terms of materials is competitive and provides an advantage for competing in the market. As a further development of the thesis, the company plans to add drives to the drawers, making the entire workflow smoother and faster. Additionally, simplifying the reconfiguration of the collaborative robot is planned, which would result in considerable time savings and increase the practicality of using the robot for smaller batches. The next step is to analyze the capabilities of machine vision in this context and outline further steps for development
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
