    Pengoperasian generator induksi dengan pola terhubung ke grid (jaringan utilitas) pada umumnya diimplementasikan pada Distributed Generation (DG) pada area on-grid. Keuntungan pengoperasian ini adalah kesederhanaan, kemudahan, dan penghematan biaya untuk memparalelkan generator ini dengan sistem grid. Namun disisi lain, pengoperasian generator induksi yang terhubung ke sistem grid membutuhkan penyerapan daya reaktif dari sistem utilitas. Penyerapan daya reaktif ini akan menyebabkan penurunan kualitas daya pada jaringan utilitas. Kajian yang diusulkan ini membahas studi tentang desain kompensator daya reaktif menggunakan metode kombinasi kapasitor eksitasi tetap dan variabel untuk mengurangi penyerapan daya reaktif pada jaringan utilitas oleh generator induksi. Kebutuhan daya reaktif tetap generator induksi dalam kondisi tanpa penyaluran daya aktif ke jaringan dipenuhi oleh bank kapasitor tetap. Sedangkan pensaklaran kapasitor dengan metode binary weighted menggunakan Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) untuk mengimplementasikan kapasitor eksitasi variabel selama variasi pengiriman daya aktif ke jaringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompensator daya reaktif yang diusulkan telah berhasil dirancang. Hasil pengujian kompensator daya reaktif yang dirancang menunjukkan bahwa alat ini telah mampu mereduksi hampir seluruh daya reaktif yang diserap oleh generator induksi dari jaringan utilitas, dengan deviasi yang relatif kecil (-1,50%: +1,58%) dari nilai ideal yang diharapkan

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

UPS didisain untuk menghasilkan daya selama periode yang panjang dimana daya dari sumber utama atau sumber normal di luar batas yang dapat diterima, tanpa menyebabkan gangguan aliran daya kebeban. Dengan kata lai, jika daya normal menghilang, sistem tetap bekerja. Pada penelitian ini dirancang UPS 500 Watt jenis On-Line Kontiniu; suatu sistem UPS ini yang mengalirkan daya lansung ke beban melalui baterai, pengisi baterai dan inverter dan tidak lansung dari suplai AC normal. UPS ini menggunakan bentuk gelombang persegi sebagai output ke beban. Untuk menghindari panas, gelombang ini harus terkontrol terhadap prekwensi dan mempunyai batas tegangan maksimum untuk mendapat tegangan RMS dan tegangan rata-rata maksimum pada level yang aman

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    In this study discusses the optimization of the design and analysis of engineering economics Hybrid Power Plant Off-Grid Microhydro - Photovoltaic Array with the help of software HOMER 2 version 2.81. Utilization of Hybrid Power Plant System can overcome the electrical problems in Bayang Janiah village, Nagari Koto Ranah, Bayang Utara Subdistrict, Pesisir Selatan District that is far from the reach of the grid and can improve the reliability of electricity economically in which initially operated only 12 hours/day sourced from microhydro power plant only, can be upgraded to full operation 24 hours/day. From the analysis that has been conducted, obtained monthly discharge of Bayang Janiah river availability using dependable discharge F. J. Mock 90% of 102 L/s to 14 m of effective head is able to move the hydro turbine to produce power of about 11,3 kW. Meanwhile, for an array of photovoltaic systems produce power equal to 8.4 kW with a number of solar modules by 84 modules and the number of battery 6 V 1.091 Ah required 8 units and a bidirectional converter with a total capacity of 10 kW, totaling 2 units. HOMER simulation results show that the determination of the configuration of the hybrid power plant system design most optimal for application in Bayang Janiah village lowest Total NPC is based on the integration between microhydro - photovoltaic array - battery bank - bidirectional converter. On the optimal system configuration, microhydro contribution of 78.945 kWh/yr, a photovoltaic array of 11.404 kWh/yr, with a Total NPC of 146.041,LevelizedCOEof 146.041, Levelized COE of 0,525/kWh, while the electrical energy consumption of 30.668 kWh per year and has excess energy of 59.608 kWh/yr, so it can meet the needs of household electricity to 56 households as well as social facilities in the village

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
