Tulevaisuussuunnitelma Perämeren Rasti ry
Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimii pohjoispohjanmaalainen suunnistusseura Perämeren Rasti ry. Tutkimuksessa on tutkittu seuran tulevaisuuden näkymää 2025–2030 aikajaksolle.
The thesis was commissioned by the Northern Ostrobothnian orienteering society Perämeren Rasti ry. The study examined the future outlook of the club for the 2025-2030 time period. The purpose of the study was to find out what kind of future the club members want for their club and by what means the club activities can be developed in the desired direction.
Planning for the future is relevant because without it, the club's operational condition and even existence are threatened in the medium term. The aim is to create the first future plan in the club's history to ensure the quality and continuity of its operations.
The thesis dealt with orienteering as a sport on a theoretical basis, the Perämeren Rasti ry and its decision-making model, future planning and its significance for the association, as well as development activities and its purpose.
The information needed for the development task was collected using a semi-structured questionnaire sent electronically to the members of the club. The implementation of the development task was made possible by the responses to the questionnaire. In order to obtain the results of the research, a qualitative method of analysis was used in the work.
Analysis of the results showed that there was a real need for a future plan to be planned jointly. In this way, it is possible to create a vision of the desired future that is as comprehensive as possible for the club members
Catholic churches, sound-reinforcement systems and RASTI
This paper concentrates on the Rapid Speech Transmission Index (RASTI) values within churches and on their differences with the sound-reinforcement systems (SRS) off and on. The RASTI was measured in 31 unoccupied Portuguese Catholic churches built in the last 11 centuries. Four receiver locations were used in each church, with and without the use of the SRS from the altar area. The vast majority of churches tested with the SRS off have RASTI values not greater than 0.45 giving a poor rating in the quality of speech intelligibility. It was detected that only for distances greater than about 11 m from the altar area is the SRS useful in increasing the RASTI values. In general, the standard SRS systems used in Portuguese churches induce an average increase of 7 per cent in the RASTI values if considering all receiver positions. Excluding the closest position to the sound source, the average increase of the RASTI is about 19 per cent from the RASTI values measured with the SRS off
Meje rasti in meje svobode
Drawing on the ideas in Mlinar\u27s book (2008), the author presents his own thoughts on problems such as the crisis of growth and of capitalism, sustainable growth and sustainable development, the limits of global growth and of the local growth of the Slovenian town of Koper, freedom and restrictions on it, alternatives and compromises, the unity of diversity and its significance for the theoretical perception of reality and democratic decision-making. The last mentioned issue plays an important role in Mlinar\u27s understanding of globalisation and its relation to localness and the individualisation process. Accordingly, for Mlinar the problems faced by the town of Koper have many features characteristic of global problems. Mlinar does not belong to the group of uncritical globalisation enthusiasts. The fundamental concept that underlies his book suggests that the town Koper reflects the problems of the world and vice versa
Meje rasti in meje privatizacije
Meje rasti in meje privatizacije se toliko povezujejo, kolikor oblika privatne lastnine pospešuje rast in kolikor meje rasti zahtevajo spremembo lastninskih odnosov.Eco-physical limits to economic growth and social consequences of not taking them into account and exceeding them are theoretically and empirically more defined than the limits to privatization. In principal neutral position for or against privatization is in theory possible, but it is impossible in political practice. Successfulness of public service depends on effectiveness of the state regulation. Limits to growth and limits to privatization are interrelated to the extent to that accelerated growth depends on private property form and that the limits to growth demand changes in property relations
The effect of Pulpits in the RASTI values within churches
This paper concentrates on the Rapid Speech Transmission Index (RASTI) values within churches with the use of elevated lateral pulpits for the emitting location. The RASTI was measured in 19 Catholic churches in Portugal built in the last 9 centuries. Four receiver and two source locations (altar and pulpit) were used in each church, without the use of sound reinforcement systems. The pulpits occupied a central (lateral) position in the churches' nave and at an average height of 2.3 m.The mean RASTI values in each church varied from 0.23 to 0.56 (of the altar) and from 0.32 to 0.56 (of the pulpit). Analysis of all RASTI data shows that the use of pulpits increases an average of 6% on RASTI values within churches. The variation in the RASTI values regarding the use of the pulpit over the altar as the source location, changed from -0.46 to +0.21 depending strongly on the receiver relative position to the sound source. Only for the receiver positions in the central area of the church does the pulpit position increase the RASTI (an average of 20% or about 0.07 on their absolute values). The churches' front row positions (closest to the altar) have their RASTI decreased (an average of 18% or about 0.13 on their absolute values) when the sound source is on the pulpit. On the last row positions RASTI does not change significantly (on average)
Enhancing gait cadence through rhythm-modulated music: A study on healthy adults
Background and objective: Gait disorders stemming from brain lesions or chemical imbalances, pose significant challenges for patients. Proposed treatments encompass medication, deep brain stimulation, physiotherapy, and visual stimulation. Music, with its harmonious structures, serves as a continuous reference, synchronizing muscle activities through neural connections between hearing and motor functions, can show promise in gait disorder management. This study explores the influence of heightened music rhythm on young healthy participants' gait cadence in three conditions: FeedForward (independent rhythm), FeedBack (cadence-synced rhythm), and Adaptive (cadence-controlled musical experience). The objective is to increase gait cadence through rhythm modulation during walking. Method: The study involved 18 young healthy participants (13 males and 5 females) who did not have any gait or hearing disorders. Each participant completed the gait task in the three aforementioned conditions. Each condition was comprised of three sessions: 1) Baseline, where participants walked while listening to the original music; 2) Intervention, changing the music rhythm to affect the gait cadence; and 3) Realign, replaying the original music and measuring the durability of the effect of the Intervention session. The measurement tool was a pair of footwear equipped with push-button switches that transmited the foot-to-ground contact to the LabVIEW® software, all designed by the research team. Repeated measures of ANOVA was employed to evaluate the impact of the sessions and conditions. Results: In all three conditions, there was a significant effect of music on increasing gait cadence during Intervention and Realign sessions (p < 0.001). Additionally, the immediate impact of music on gait cadence in the Adaptive condition was superior to the other conditions. Conclusion: The study findings indicate that increasing the rhythm of music during walking has a significant impact on gait cadence among young healthy participants. This effect remained significant even after realigning the music to normal. It could be harnessed to support the rehabilitation of individuals with movement disorders characterized by a decrease in movement speed, such as Parkinson's disease. Moreover, the results indicate that the Adaptive method showed promising outcomes, suggesting its potential for further exploration as an effective means to control gait cadence
Organizacijski dejavniki hitre rasti slovenskih dinamičnih podjetij
The authors provide key findings on the internal and external environmental factors of growth that affect the rapid growth of dynamic enterprises in relation to individual key organisational factors or functions. The key organisational relationships in a growing enterprise are upgraded with previous research findings and identified key factors of rapid growth through qualitative and quantitative analysis based on the analysis of 4,511 dynamic Slovenian enterprises exhibiting growth potential. More than 250 descriptive attributes of a sample of firms from 2011 were also used for further qualitative analysis and verification of key growth factors. On the basis of the sample (the study was conducted with 131 Slovenian dynamic enterprises), the authors verify whether these factors are the same as the factors that were studied in previous researches. They also provide empirical findings on rapid growth factors in relation to individual organisational functions: administration – management – implementation (entrepreneur – manager – employees). Through factor analysis they look for the correlation strength between individual variables (attributes) that best describe each factor of rapid growth and that relate to the aforementioned organisational functions in dynamic enterprises. The research findings on rapid growth factors offer companies the opportunity to consider these factors during the planning and implementation phases of their business, to choose appropriate instruments for the transition from a small fast growing firm to a professionally managed growing company, to stimulate growth and to choose an appropriate growth strategy and organisational factors in order to remain, or become, dynamic enterprises that can further contribute to the preservation, growth and development of the Slovenian economy. The authors provide key findings on the internal and external environmental factors of growth that affect the rapid growth of dynamic enterprises in relation to individual key organisational factors or functions.
