Ascariasis, a disease caused by roundworms, is one of the parasites that infects the human digestive system and represents a frequently occurring health issue among children, particularly in rural areas such as SDN 1 Senggigi. The objective of this research is to provide educational outreach about Ascariasis to the students of SDN 1 Senggigi as a preventive measure to reduce the risk of worm infections. This outreach encompasses information on the definition, life cycle, risk factors, transmission methods, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of Ascariasis. The educational approach involves presentations utilizing flip charts, along with practical demonstrations of hand and environmental hygiene. Research results indicate the effectiveness of this outreach in enhancing students' knowledge about Ascariasis, accompanied by positive changes in knowing the definition, symptoms, transmission methods, prevention and treatment of ascariasis worms. With this  increased awareness and knowledge, it is anticipated that the prevalence of Ascariasis infections in SDN 1 Senggigi will decrease and promote better health practices among children. Elevating awareness and education about this disease can also assist the broader community in addressing health issues, especially related to Ascariasis

leading to various complications such as cholangitis, pancreatitis, and obstructive jaundice. The prevalence of this condition ranges from 1-15% in patients with gallstones. Common symptoms include abdominal pain, indigestion, and jaundice. The objective of this study is to review the current literature on choledocholithiasis, including its definition, epidemiology, etiology, risk factors, pathophysiology, and treatment options. The study employed a narrative literature review method, collecting relevant articles from databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and ProQuest. The review highlights the primary mechanisms of gallstone formation, including cholesterol supersaturation and bile stasis, as well as factors like obesity, aging, and pregnancy that increase the risk of developing choledocholithiasis. Findings suggest that management of choledocholithiasis varies from non-invasive approaches, such as medical therapy, to surgical interventions like endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) or cholecystectomy. The study concludes that early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are critical for preventing severe complications. Regular monitoring and preventive strategies are essential for patients at risk of developing choledocholithiasis

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a psychological disorder characterized by persistent and uncontrollable feelings of anxiety and worry that last for at least 6 months. In 2019, there were 301 million people in the world experiencing anxiety disorders, making GAD the most common mental disorder in the world. This literature review aims to increase knowledge about generalized anxiety disorder so that it can increase treatment rates and decrease social stigma attached to GAD. Sources for this review were gathered through online databases including review articles, research studies, and professional guidebooks related to the topic. The review results show that GAD has a wide range of risk factors including personal, social, and environmental factors. GAD can have severe complications if not treated properly, hence highlighting the need for early detection and effective treatments

Nail Disorders in Systemic Diseases: A literatur Review

    No full text
Nail disease is a disorder that affects the structure and health of human nails. Nail disease associated with systemic disease can occur in various age groups and populations. The prevalence and incidence vary depending on the associated systemic disease. The purpose of writing this article is to provide new insight into the importance of understanding and identifying abnormal nail conditions as an early clue to underlying systemic disease so that it can provide benefits in improving early detection, appropriate treatment, and holistic disease monitoring. This article will focus on examples such as clubbing finger, koilonychia, yellow nail, and Leukonychia which have links to systemic diseases or disorders. Data sources were taken by conducting an electronic search through library search sites including Google Scholar, ProQuest, MDPI, and PubMed to search for articles discussing "various nail disorders associated with systemic disease"

    No full text
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic condition that has been long known for its complexity, with type 1 and type 2 being the main focus on research and clinical practice for decades. This literature review aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of other types of diabetes mellitus other than type 1 and type 2, focusing on recognizing the etiology, pathophysiology, and way of diagnosis for each type of unconventional diabetes mellitus. In addition, this review also includes the identification of risk factors that influence the development of the disease, potential complications, and disease prognosis to provide a comprehensive view of this condition, and finally, a preventive strategies that can be applied is also discussed. The literature search was performed using trusted databases, including PubMed and Google Scholar. The result of this literature review is that diagnosing other type of diabetes mellitus is still challenging, with most still require specific testing for precise diagnosis. Thus, understanding etiology and pathophysiology of this disease will aid in directing health practitioners on which specific testing is needed for patients

In Silico Study of Entry Inhibitor from Moringa oleifera Bioactive Compounds against SARS-CoV-2 Infection

    No full text
The aim of this study is to screen the content of bioactive compounds of Moringa oleifera and to identify its potential as an antiviral against COVID 19 through an entry inhibitor mechanism using bioinformatics tools. The sample was obtained from PubChem database. Amino acis sequences were obtained from the NCBI. Protein modeling is made through the SWISSMODEL site. The target proteins for this study were SARS-CoV-2 M pro and RdRp. The protein-inhibitory interaction of the drug from M. oleifera bioactive compounds to SARS-CoV-2 was predicted by molecular docking with PyRx software. The result shows that M. oleifera was a potential antiviral candidate for SARS-CoV-2 with an entry inhibitor mechanism through a compound, especially quercetin. The RFMS value of both interactions between Mpro and quercetion and RdRp with quercetin were not higher than 1.05. This result still needed further research to prove this prediction
