The concept is closely related to the network is always a computer function as a control system that provides services to the users to be able to access an up to date information and real time. That requires a good system complexity so that the entire information that is private and accessible with good vital. In this case the concept of a computer network to a specific alternative to access information quickly and continuously (continue). Communication medium in this case a GSM (Global System for Mobile) Phones it can also be used in a computer network control system. One of the facilities that can be used is GSM SMS (Short Message Service) that serves as an indicator if there is a failure in the transport media of communication signals in a computer network. The system is designed as a reference for a network administrator in the control system on thenetwork connectivity by utilizing one of the GSM network operators and mobile phones. With the existence of this system is expected to be easier for an administrator to control network activity because administrators do not need to constantly monitor its network connectivity.Keywords: Control Network, GS
PENGEMBANGAN APLIKASI MOBILE LEARNING PADA MATA KULIAH PEMROGRAMAN CLIENT SERVER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA
ABSTRACT- This study aims to design interactive multimedia for computer client server programming with Android-based so that it can be accessed via smartphone. Client server programming course is one of compulsory subjects in Informatics Engineering course. With the realization of multimedia is expected to shorten the learning time of students, and students can more easily understand the material of client server programming rather than through the tutorial tutorial as usual, and is expected to improve learning achievement. This multimedia realization chose to use the Android operating system to be accessible through smartphone that is currently widely used by the students. This interactive multimedia presents theories, simulations and problems as the evaluation of client server programming learning. The results of this interactive multimedia will be tested through the test instrument to the students on the study program of Informatika Technique of Asahan University. Instrument test used to know student achievement. Test instrument used is a questionnaire instrument to determine the quality of interactive multimedia computer network courses. Multimedia is designed using the main software such as Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Director, and Macromedia Authorware and Eclipse 4.2 along with supporting applications. The material to be delivered on interactive multimedia is tailored to the syllabus of client server programming courses on Strata 1 level. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Development of The Project-Based Learning Model In Making Teaching Modules for Courses Multimedia Technology and Animation
The discovery of errors in the delivery of Multimedia Technology and Animation course material is indirectly caused by the implementation of lectures for the course, which should be given for 2 semesters compressed into 1 semester only. The limited learning time prevents some course material from being delivered to students. This limitation was also triggered by the absence of teaching modules that support condensed learning due to the implementation of lectures for 1 semester. Seeing these problems makes the development of a teaching module in the Multimedia and Animation Technology course with Project-Based Learning to support the implementation of lectures a solution that can be done to overcome existing problems. The feasibility test results show that the teaching module is valid. In contrast, the results of the feasibility test by media experts show that 95.14% of the module is very valid, and seen from the results of the feasibility test by material experts show that 97.14% of the module is very valid for use in learning for 1 semester. In the trial involving students, it shows that through the results of individual trials, it can be seen that 94.17% of the teaching modules developed are very feasible to use in the learning process. In addition, through the results of the small group trial, it can be seen that the teaching module is 85.18% very feasible to use, as well as the results of the usage trial show that the teaching module is 87.45% very feasible to use in learning. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the Multimedia and Animation Technology module with Project-Based Learning is very feasible to be used as a reference and in the learning process of Multimedia and Animation Technology courses
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
