Sentiment mining using immune network algorithm /Raja Muhammad Hafiz Raja Kamarudin
With the abundant of knowledge accessible via Internet and the likes, many have ventured into using that knowledge in order to understand deeply on how the available knowledge affected the whole world directly or indirectly. Sentiment analysis or opinion mining is an application that tries to identify and extract subjective information from source materials. Many business applied sentiment analysis in their marketing and others practical usage. In short, sentiment analysis has become an important aspect in our today’s life with or without we realizing it. Currently, there are many techniques available in order to harvest necessary sentiment values. However, there are very few researches have been done with the intention to utilize biological-inspired computing in sentiment analysis. This research tries to utilize biological-inspired computing algorithm, Immune Network algorithm, in this sentiment analysis field. This research also studies the effect of preprocessing on the data which has shown an unexpected result, the data with no-preprocessing done produces more accurate result than the data with preprocessing albeit very small in percentage, < 2%. The results obtained by utilizing Immune Network in sentiment mining are not very impressive compared to other Machine Learning algorithms. The algorithms can be improved furthermore by including other disciplines such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) or others. However, this is a step stone towards developing a biological-inspired Sentiment Mining algorith
Level of acceptance of takaful among student in UiTM / Raja Muhammad Aimanul Akram Raja Musa
Takaful is a type of Islamic insurance that is the best alternative to standard insurance for both individuals and businesses. Traditional insurance and Islamic insurance (Takaful) are two distinct contracts with the identical goal of lowering financial burdens and safeguarding participants from hardship. Despite knowing that the Takaful company has operated and follows Islamic principles free of Riba, Maysir, and Gharar, the Muslim community in general does not fully accept and subscribe to the services offered by Takaful. This is due to a lack of awareness of the role of Takaful in their economy and lives. The goal of this research is to see how accepting Takaful is among UiTM students. In this study, structured survey questions were given to university graduates from various courses, with a total of 30 respondents. The primary goal of this research is to learn more about Takaful acceptance among students at UiTM Dungun. Students have a high level of acceptance of Takaful, according to the study's findings. Because investing in Takaful does not contain forbidden elements such as Riba and Gharar, it is one of the highest elements. The researchers believe that this study can be expanded in the future to include studies on non-Muslim acceptance of Takaful
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Design and fabrication of can presser / Muhammad Haqimie Mohd Nasri and Raja Muhammad Aslam Raja Arif
A can presser is one of the tools that is being used to recycle plastic cans nowadays. However, these types of pressers can only crush one plastic can at a time. This will indeed affect the flow of work being put out by the workers that are using those can pressers. The main objective of this project is to increase the efficiency of the can presser. The internet has been used as one of the research platforms in conducting this final-year project. The outcome of this project is that it will help to reduce the operational time of the workers that are using this can presser
