No full textLa ricostruzione narrativa della casa di Roland Rainer nei pressi della cava di Sankt Margarethen nel Burgenland inizia con il montaggio di un piccolo gruppo di sculture di Maria Biljan-Bilger all’interno del cortile di pietra posto a sud della casa stessa, che diventa palcoscenico per il teatro domestico. Di questa casa, progettata e realizzata tra 1957-1958 per se stesso, Rainer parla come di una casa estiva, Sommerhaus. L’avvicinamento alla casa è pensato per soglie successive che traducono il nesso tra casa e sito, componendo una sorta di sequenze di scene architettoniche con prospettive che si aprono continuamente di nuovo. Rainer è riuscito a costruire, paradossalmente, un pezzo di paradiso in un sito preciso, conservando sempre l’idea di un giardino del piacere recintato da muri. È una sorta di 'hortus conclusus' che rappresenta l’abitare presso di sé e al contempo di recinto aperto che non esclude l’altro ma lo contiene e lo comprende come tale nella sua distinzione-differenza. In questo senso la casa a Sankt Margarethen segue simultaneamente la logica bipolare di "Örtlichkeit und Zeitlichkeit" enunciata da Rainer e diventa costruzione anonima e architettura con-temporanea. Il montaggio narrativo della casa-teatro di Roland Rainer diventa paradossale, perché essa assume la figura dell’ossimoro: un luogo-spazio senza topos costruito in un topos specifico

L’intervento parte dalle poche ma significative testimonianze che sono disponibili del filosofo sull’artista in cui, oltre a dimostrare tutta la sua ammirazione, Heidegger si pronuncia sull’arte e sul rapporto tra Becker e Rilke.
L’esperienza artistica di Paula, così come la sua vicenda umana, spingono Rainer a comporre uno dei componimenti più impressionanti della lirica contemporanea, il "Requiem für eine Freundin", in cui l’esperienza estrema della morte si intreccia con quella della perdita e del rapporto che chi rimane instaura con essa, presagendo la figura di Euridice de "I Sonetti a Orfeo"

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
No full textWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

No full textQuesta edizione riunisce per la prima volta in un unico volume tutti gli scritti di Rainer Maria Rilke sull’arte e sulla letteratura, permettendo così al lettore italiano di inoltrarsi nella complessità e nella ricchezza dell’estetica di uno dei più grandi poeti della Fin de siècle. Nelle Lettere su Cézanne Rilke scrive:
“Non è affatto la pittura che studio [...] È la svolta che ho riconosciuto in questa pittura perché si tratta della stessa che ho appena raggiunto nel mio lavoro [...] Non ha il diritto di scrivere di quadri colui che [...] li considera da un punto di vista così personale.” In ogni quadro, in ogni poesia, in ogni racconto e in ogni scultura Rilke cerca sempre di ritrovare se stesso, di vedere espressa con strumenti e modalità differenti la stessa “svolta” (Wendung) che vive nel suo animo, la sensibilità e la visione dell’esistenza e dell’arte che sono impresse nella sua interiorità. E questa affinità egli sembra trovarla nelle espressioni d’arte più diverse, nei dipinti, nelle sculture, nelle opere letterarie di autori tra loro assai distanti.
Il poeta compone solo due monografie, dedicate rispettivamente a Rodin e alla pittura di Worpswede, ma nei suoi scritti si sofferma su una miriade di scrittori e artisti del XX secolo, da Thomas Mann a Hermann Hesse, da Nietzsche a Maeterlink e Cézanne, scrive di Tolstoj e delle icone, del teatro belga, della letteratura scandinava, tedesca, francese e italiana
