The possibility of clove developing on podsolic type of soil in Bone-bone.Clove is one the potential export commoditiesof non oil and gas sector. A research has been conducted, in an effort to develop the commodity based on the aspects of climate and soil condition, at the village of Bungadidi sub district Bone-bone South Sulawesi. The research results revealed that the area mentioned has fairly compatible climate and soil condition for developing the clove, i.e. podsolic type of soil, at altitude of 50 m to 200 m, low contents of N, P2O5, low to medium content of C organic, pH 4.48, average temperature of 26.90C, annual rain fall 3139 mm, with 178 rainy days and 82% relative humidity

Respon Setek Panili Terhadap Pemberian Pupuk NPK
Penelitian dilakukan di rumah kaca BalaiPenelitian Tanaman Rempah dan Obat, Bogor, dari bulan Juni sampai dengan Oktober 1989. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui respon setek panili terhadap pemupukan N, P, dan K. penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan pola factorial, diulang tiga kali. Factor yang diuji adalah dosis pupuk N, P dan K, masing-masing 0, 1, dan 2 g/pot. Dosis pupuk dipecah dalam dua kali pemberian, yaitu pada minggu ke-3 dan minggu ke-9 setelah tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk N, P, dan K secara tunggal dan interaksi antara NK, NP, dan NPK dapat meningkatkan panjang tunas. Perlakuan pemupukan yang menghasilkan panjang tunas tertinggi adalah 2 g N/pot + 2 g P2O2/pot + 1 g K2O/pot. Terhadap jumlah daun interaksi antara NK dan NP nyata pengaruhnya. Pengaruh pemupukan yang menghasilkan jumlah daun tertinggi adalah 2 g N/pot + 1 g K2O/pot
Studi Keadaan dan Iklim Akar Wangi di Daerah Sukakarya Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat
Akar wangi merupakan salah satu tanaman penghasil minyak atsiri yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Lingkungan tumbuh yang optimal untuk pengembangan areal yang luas belum diketahui secara persis. Untuk itu telah dilakukan penelitian di daerah sentra produksi Desa Sukakarya Kemacatan Samarang, Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat pada bulan Desember 1988. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lokasi pertanaman memiliki jenis tanah Andosol dengan ketinggian 1400 m dpl., tekstur tanah lempung berpasir, pH masam sampai agak masam (5,1-5,7), N rendah sampai sedang, C-organik sedang sampai tinggi, susunan kation dapat tukar yaitu Ca rendah sampai sedang, Mg rendah sampai sedang, K rendah sampai sedang, Na antara rendah dan sedang, sedangkan keadaan iklimnya memiliki curah hujan 2365,7 mm/tahun, hari hujan 158,1 hari, temperatur rata-rata 21oC, dan kelembaban rata-rata 95%
Pemupukan Nitrogen, Fosfor, Dan Kalium Pada Tanaman Akar Wangi
The optimum dosage of N, P, and K fertilizer has not been knownyet and it USAge was still varied. The research aim is to obtain an optimalcomposition of N, P, and K fertilizer that could increase productivity ofvetiver crop. The researsch has been conducted in Sukakarya Village,Garut, from January 2009 to December 2010. The research was arrangedin randomized block design, with 3 replications and N, P, and K fertilizercombination treatments i.e.: (1) Control; (2) 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl;(3) 100 kg ZA + 75 kg KCl; (4) 100 kg ZA + 50 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl;(5) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl; (6) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 150 kg KCl; (7) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36; (8) 200 kg ZA + 100 kgSP-36 + 75 kg KCl; (9) 200 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 150 kg KCl.Harvesting was done at 12, 14 and 16 months after planting (MAP). Theresult showed that the dose of 100 kg ZA + 75 kg KCl produced vetiver oil52,59 and 67,78 kg/ha (12 and 14 MAP). Meanwhile the dose of 200 kgZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl produced 67,76 kg/ha (16 MAP),respectively. vetiverol content were more than 50%
Pengaruh Pupuk N, P dan K Terhadap Perumbuhan dan Hasil Tanama Serai Dapur di Tanah Latosol Citayam
Effect of N, P, K fertilizer on growth and production of Cymbopogon citrates at Citayam latosal soil.A study on the Effect of N, P, K fertilizer on growth and production of Cymbopogon citrates at Citayam latosal soil. Was conducted from Juni 1992 till August 1993. The experiment was performed with a randomized block design arranged factorially. The factors tested were dosages of N (0, 0.90 and 1.8 g N per plant), P (0 and 0.46 g P2O5 per plant), and K (0 and 1.2 g K2O per plant). The result showed that N and K fertilizers significantly increased the yield. N fertilizers significantly increased the numbers of tillers, and K fertilizers significantly increased the plant height. Dosages of 1.8 g N per plant and 1.2 g K2O per plant showed the highest yield. There was no significant interaction between N, P, and K on all the parameter (number of tiller, plant height and yield)

Tren sektor industri Ritel yang bertumbuh di Indonesia, termasuk di Tasikmalaya, membuat peningkatan pada jumlah bisnis ritel yang meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Hal ini membuat perusahaan harus memiliki strategi yang tepat, karena pesaing sejenis antar perusahaan sangat besar, mudahnya pendatang baru masuk dan juga kuatnya daya tawar pemasok maupun pembeli. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memahami bagaimana penerapan Model Lima Kekuatan Porter dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk merumuskan strategi persaingan dengan perusahaan lain, serta menganalisis struktur industri TASCO MINIMART di Tasikmalaya yang terkait dengan teori Porter Five Forces. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada TASCO MINIMART di Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan observasi, data dapat dikumpulkan. Setelah memperoleh informasi, penulis melakukan verifikasi data menggunakan pendekatan triangulasi sumber. Hasil dari penelitian ini menentukan bahwa, faktor pesaing sejenis dinilai sangat tinggi, faktor kekuatan daya tawar pemasok dinilai rendah, faktor kekuatan daya tawar pembeli dinilai rendah, faktor ancaman terhadap produk subtitusi dinilai rendah dan faktor ancaman terhadap pendatang baru dinilai tinggi.
The growing retail industry sector trend in Indonesia, including in Tasikmalaya, has resulted in an increase in the number of retail businesses which increases from year to year. This requires companies to have the right strategy, because similar competitors between companies are very large, it is easy for new entrants to enter and also the strong bargaining power of suppliers and buyers. This research aims to understand how the application of Porter's Five Forces Model can be used as a basis for formulating competitive strategies with other companies, as well as analyzing the industrial structure of TASCOMINIMARTin Tasikmalaya which is related to Porter's Five Forces theory. This research was conducted at TASCO MINIMARTin TasikmalayaCity. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. By using interview and observation techniques, data can be collected. After obtaining the information, the author verified the data using a source triangulation approach. The results of this research determined that the similar competitor factor was assessed as very high, the supplier's bargaining power factor was assessed as low, the buyer's bargaining power factor was assessed as low, the threat factor to substitute products was assessed as low and the threat factor to new entrants was assessed as high
STUDI AGROBIOFISIK KAMANDRAH (CROTON TIGLIUM L.) DAN PENENTUAN POTENSI AWAL KAMANDRAH SEBAGAI LARVASIDA HAYATI PENCEGAH PENYAKIT DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE
The aim of the research is to obtain the ecological condition and propagation of kamandrah (Croton tiglium L.) and determination of its potency as biological larvacidal for preventing dengue haemorraghic fever. Agrobiophysic study indicated that Croton tiglium L. plant need full sunlight (> 70 %). Low intensity of sunlight could decrease the ability of plant to produce seed. The plant could grow well on podzolic land (30-50 m upon sea surface). Seed of kamandrah from Ampah has growth percentage of 43.8 %, height of 27.5 cm, stem diameter of 5 cm, total leaves of 10, and total primary branches of 2. Phytochemical assay resulted that among other part of Kamandrah, Kamandrah seed has highest alkaloid content. Because alkaloid compound has high larvicidal activity, kamandrah seed has high potency as larvicide. Among all of extracts of part of plant, oil of Croton tiglium L. has the highest potency as biological larvacidal with 863.67 ppm of LC50 for 24 hours of treatmen
BIOSINTESIS MENTHOL PADA BERBAGAI PERIODE PENCAHAYAAN TANAMAN MENTHA (Mentha piperita L.)
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mekanisme sintesis mentholpada berbagai periode pencahayaan tanaman M. piperita L. Penelitiandilakukan di Instalasi Penelitian Balai Penelitian Tanaman Obat danAromatik, Lembang, Jawa Barat, dari bulan Januari 2000 hingga Juli 2000.Penelitian dilakukan tiga tahap. Tahap pertama membuat variasilingkungan cahaya, tahap kedua penyulingan dan analisis komponenminyak dengan kromatografi gas spektrometer massa dan tahap ketigamerunut lintasan biosintesis menthol. Penelitian menggunakan rancanganacak kelompok 5 perlakuan, yaitu L 0 (panjang hari normal sebagaikontrol), L 1 (pemutusan periode gelap 1 jam, pukul 21.00-22.00 mulaiumur 30 hari), L 2 (pemutusan periode gelap 1 jam, pukul 21.00-22.00mulai umur 60 hari), L 3 (penambahan cahaya 4 jam, pukul 18.00-22.00mulai umur 30 hari), dan L 4 (penambahan cahaya 4 jam, pukul 18.00-22.00 mulai umur 60 hari). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaperubahan lingkungan mempengaruhi mekanisme sintesis menthol didalam tanaman Mentha piperita L. Perubahan lingkungan mengubahlintasan menthol yang selanjutnya mengubah komponen minyak dan mutumenthol. Tingginya kadar menthol dan rendahnya menthofuran padapenambahan cahaya 4 jam terjadi melalui penghambatan pembentukansenyawa menthofuran dengan mereduksi pulegon menjadi menthol,sehingga menthol meningkat, sedangkan pada perlakuan kontrol terjadioksidasi pulegon ke menthofuran sehingga menthol rendah. Penambahancahaya 4 jam mulai umur 30 hari setelah tanam menghasilkan minyakdengan kadar menthol paling tinggi yaitu 54,89% dan menthofuran palingrendah yaitu 7,83%.Kata kunci : Mentha, Mentha piperita L., periode pencahayaan, hasil,komposisi minyak, Jawa BaratABSTRACTThe effect of photoperiod on menthol sysnthesis ofMentha piperita L.Research on the effect of photoperiod on menthol synthesis ofMentha piperita L, was carried out at the Experimental Garden of InstituteReseach for Medicinal and Aromatic Crops, Lembang, West Java, fromJanuary until July, 2000. The objective is to study the machanism ofmenthol synthesis in relation with the manipulation of light periode, threesteps were taken: The first step was manipulation of environment using TLlamps (two experiments), the second step was distillation and analisis ofpeppermint oil from their products with gas chromatography and massspectrometry, and the third step was tracing the pathway on mentholbiosynthesis. At the first experiment, 5 treatments were given i.e. (1)control or normal light period, (2) four hours light supplement at the age of30 days and 60 days after planting, and (3) one hour interruption of darkperiod at the age of 30 days and 60 days. The result showed that the effectof light period manipulation can change the pathway of mentholbiosynthesis and oil component and finally the quality of menthol. Fourhours light supplement at the age of 30 days after planting could enhancethe menthol content and reduce menthofuran by blocking the reaction frompulegone to menthofuran, so the pulegone was reduced into menthon andmenthol. Four hours light supplement at 30 days after planting showed thehighest menthol content (54.89%) and the lowest menthofuran (7.83%).Control treatment (normal light period) showed the lowest mentholcontent, due to no reduction of pulegone into menthon, but pulegone wasoxidized into menthofuran.
