Cenzura w bibliotece w PRL i w III RP na tle dyskusji w krajach zachodnich
Full text linkThe text contains a description of the functioning of the censorship system in the Polish People’s Republic, with particular emphasis on the censorship of libraries. The article presents discussions about various forms of censorship that occur in contemporary libraries in Western countries. The author draws attention to the lack of this type of discussion in the Third Polish Republic and the lack of reflection on sharing collections with controversial content.Tekst zawiera opis funkcjonowania systemu cenzury w PRL ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem cenzurowania bibliotek. Artykuł prezentuje dyskusje o różnorodnych formach cenzury, jaka występuje we współczesnych bibliotekach krajów zachodnich. Autor zwraca uwagę na brak tego typu dyskusji w III RP oraz brak refleksji na temat udostępniania zbiorów o treściach kontrowersyjnych

No full textAutor odpowiada na pytanie, w jakich okolicznościach i z jakich powodów rząd polski podjął w 2010 r. decyzję o likwidacji 1. Warszawskiej Dywizji Zmechanizowanej im. Tadeusza Kościuszki. Wraz ze wstąpieniem w 1999 r. do NATO tylko 17% naszej armii spełniało standardy obowiązujące w Pakcie Północnoatlantyckim. Ponadto rozpoczęto proces tworzenia armii zawodowej, co zawsze wiązało się ze zmniejszeniem liczby żołnierzy. Jednak podstawowym czynnikiem podjętej decyzji była nazbyt optymistyczna ocena sytuacji międzynarodowej przez organa polityczne NATO oraz podjęta współpraca gospodarcza z Rosją przez szereg krajów Unii Europejskiej. Niemcom, Francji i innym krajom zachodnim wydawało się, że dzięki wspólnym zyskom finansowym Moskwa porzuci politykę imperialną i nie będzie zagrażać swoim sąsiadom, krajom NATO oraz pokojowi na świecie.The article answers the question in what circumstances and for what reasons the Polish government decided in 2010 to liquidate the 1st. Warsaw Mechanized Division named Tadeusz Kościuszko. When we joined NATO in 1999, only 17% of our army met the standards applicable in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. In addition, the process of creating a professional army began, which always involved reducing the number of soldiers. However, the basic factor in the decision to liquidate the division was an overly optimistic assessment of the international situation by NATO's political bodies and the economic cooperation with Russia undertaken by several European Union countries. Germany, France, and other Western countries thought that thanks to shared financial gains, Moscow would abandon its imperial policy and not threaten its neighbors, NATO countries and world peace

No full textCensorship in the People's Republic of Poland functioned beyond the law. It was not legal acts but the very authorities of the Polish Workers' Party, and later the Polish United Workers' Party, who defined what was allowed or not allowed to be published. The obliging norms were vague in terms of their logics - this is why, any information uncomfortable to the authorities could be suppressed. Efficiency of the censorship system was guaranteed by the - never formally written down - rule of "delegating authorization" of censors. The authors themselves, but first of all, managers of editorial offices and scientific or cultural institutions, were obliged to make sure that information prohibited by the authorities was not disseminated.Instytut Historii PAN316618
