Focus on the future. An orientation project of the university of L'Aquila
No full textIn today's society, informal learning patterns increasingly involve the use of creative tools that enable individuals to rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills. Since, in a constantly evolving context, it is mainly young people who are experimenting with ever-changing creative practices, it seems necessary that educational institutions also learn to speak the language of innovation (Shaheen, 2010), using original tools to dialogue with young people and making educational proposals accessible and comprehensible to them (Fabbris, 2009). In this perspective, this contribution aims to illustrate an orientation project carried out within the framework of the degree course in Education and Social Service Sciences at the University of L'Aquila and addressed to students of some Abruzzo high schools. In order to strengthen the collaboration between schools, universities and the working world, the researchers developed a two-steps cultural proposal, able to positively intervene on the students' reflection and construction of the educators and social workers profiles and their professional prefigurations. Within the framework of informal learning strategies, the project coordinators used innovative tools to allow the students to focus on tasks, objectives and methods of intervention related to the working environments in which the two professionals work. Specifically, the project included different moments of orientation, training and action, set in two different settings: school and university classrooms. By virtue of an articulated workshop course, which included simulations and role-plays, objectives and tasks relating to the professions in question were analyzed, using participative learning practices and heuristic and creative strategies to achieve the expected training outcomes

No full textLa letteratura scientifica recente conta numerose analisi sulla realtà giovanile, indagata sia negli aspetti che più la contraddistinguono, che nelle sue specificità rispetto al mondo degli adulti. Proprio in questa prospettiva, il confronto con le generazioni precedenti consente ai ricercatori di individuare i nodi problematici di maggiore attualità, facendo emergere nel contempo i modelli, gli stili di vita e i progetti biografici dei giovani del nuovo millennio. In tal senso, questo libro punta a comporre un ritratto dal vivo di un campione di studenti marsicani, tentando di comprendere il ruolo giocato dal radicamento in una specifica realtà locale rispetto all’evoluzione complessiva degli scenari italiani. In una fase così delicata sotto il profilo economico e sociale, le riflessioni contenute nel volume hanno anche l’obiettivo di verificare in che misura la crisi attraversata dal Paese possa pesare sulla capacità progettuale e sulle chance di vita dei giovani. Low-order dynamic model of a domestic electric oven Part II: Parameter identification and model validation for the static heating mode
No full textAppliances are responsible for almost the 25% of the overall environmental impact of buildings, and, among these, electric domestic ovens represent a low-efficiency category when considering flats, with an energy efficiency between 10% and 12%, thus stimulating the development of more efficient technologies. The energy performance of such an appliance is determined through a test according to the EN 60350-1 European standard, which, among others, requires suitable control of the oven centre temperature. Since the development of reliable dynamic models represents a high-potential tool to design better control strategies, the aim of this work is to create a model simulating the transient thermal behaviour during the static, i.e. non-ventilated, heating mode of an electric domestic oven within the cabinet adopted for energy consumption tests; the model must be able to predict the main temperatures within the cavity, with particular attention to the oven centre. A lumped parameter approach based on the thermoelectric analogy was chosen, in order to obtain a low-order dynamic model suitable for control design purposes. Since the model strives to reproduce the transient behaviour of the oven centre temperature, a single lumped parameter simulating the thermal behaviour of the whole oven cavity was unsuitable and a certain level of macroscopic discretization had therefore to be introduced. Thus, the oven cavity was modelled with eight parameters, representing its main parts like the walls, the glass door and the air in the cavity; also, the temperature probe, a Pt500 as is customary for such devices, was included in the model, since this is the only temperature feedback during operation and its presence in the model could lead to an easier implementation of efficient control logics. Three lumped parameters simulating the thermal behaviour of the heaters were also considered, leading to an 11 th order model
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
