No full textDe professionelle udviklingsprojekter KiU og QUEST analyseres i et tværgående perspektiv for karakteristiske oplevede udbytter, udfordringer og muligheder for professionel læring. Analyse og diskussion forankres bl.a. i et sæt teoretisk baserede tematiseringer ift. generelt design af udviklingsaktiviteter. Analysen viser at erfaringsudveksling med kolleger fremhæves på tværs af modeller. KiUlærere fremhæver desuden øget selvtillid i samspil med elever og kolleger, foranlediget af den formelle uddannelse i undervisningsfaget. Fagdidaktisk indhold kan give ejerskab og danne afsæt for læring og ny fagforståelse og professionel identitet (phronesis), men pædagogisk teori og forskning kan også være svært at knytte meningsfuldt til egen professionelle praksis
Simple risk model predicts incidence of atrial fibrillation in a racially and geographically diverse population: the CHARGE-AF consortium

For the full list of authors, see article.BACKGROUND: Tools for the prediction of atrial fibrillation (AF) may identify high-risk individuals more likely to benefit from preventive interventions and serve as a benchmark to test novel putative risk factors. METHODS AND RESULTS: Individual-level data from 3 large cohorts in the United States (Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities [ARIC] study, the Cardiovascular Health Study [CHS], and the Framingham Heart Study [FHS]), including 18 556 men and women aged 46 to 94 years (19% African Americans, 81% whites) were pooled to derive predictive models for AF using clinical variables. Validation of the derived models was performed in 7672 participants from the Age, Gene and Environment-Reykjavik study (AGES) and the Rotterdam Study (RS). The analysis included 1186 incident AF cases in the derivation cohorts and 585 in the validation cohorts. A simple 5-year predictive model including the variables age, race, height, weight, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, current smoking, use of antihypertensive medication, diabetes, and history of myocardial infarction and heart failure had good discrimination (C-statistic, 0.765; 95% CI, 0.748 to 0.781). Addition of variables from the electrocardiogram did not improve the overall model discrimination (C-statistic, 0.767; 95% CI, 0.750 to 0.783; categorical net reclassification improvement, -0.0032; 95% CI, -0.0178 to 0.0113). In the validation cohorts, discrimination was acceptable (AGES C-statistic, 0.664; 95% CI, 0.632 to 0.697 and RS C-statistic, 0.705; 95% CI, 0.664 to 0.747) and calibration was adequate. CONCLUSION: A risk model including variables readily available in primary care settings adequately predicted AF in diverse populations from the United States and Europe
Klyngevejledning – Kaos eller Quest? En kvalitativ undersøgelse af en gymnasieelevs perspektiv på, hvordan klyngevejledning understøtter skriverudvikling
No full textFormålet med artiklen er at give et indblik i elevers opfattelse af, hvad klyngevejledning kan bidrage med i den faglige vejledning af skrivning af gymnasiets studieforberedende opgaver. Dette er af interesse, fordi klyngevejledning som vejledningsdidaktik på ungdomsuddannelserne er en ny vejledningspraksis, og fordi denne vejledningspraksis ikke er undersøgt i skandinavisk forskning. Undersøgelsen er et delstudie af en større undersøgelse af elevers oplevelser af faglig vejledning i det 3-årige danske gymnasieforløb. I artiklen præsenteres et casestudie af en enkelt elevs narrativ, som danner grundlag for en udfoldet narrativ analyse. Data er genereret gennem deltagerobservation og kvalitative forskningsinterviews. Undersøgelsen er baseret på en sociokulturel tilgang med afsæt i Bakhtins dialogbegreb og Goffmans teori om facework, en tilgang der muliggør identifikation af klyngevejledningens stemmer, roller og positioneringer i narrativerne. På den baggrund vurderes, hvad der fra et elevperspektiv understøtter en skriverudvikling. Undersøgelsen giver et indblik i, hvordan en elev i den 3-årige vejledningsproces udvikler sig. På den baggrund peges på, at nogle af de udfordringer, der knytter sig til klyngevejledning som praksis, er de skiftende kontekster, de forskelligartede forventninger og manglende kendskab til, og adressering af, elevens skrivning.<br/

traps and represent the first record of this species for this country. Although S. quadricollis is native to
the Mediterranean basin, it is not yet clear if these Maltese records are due to a natural population or to
an interception. Distributional, nomenclatural and biological data on this species are summarized, and a
new synonymy is established: Stephanopachys quadricollis (Marseul, 1879) = Stephanopachys quadraticollis
