Walau bagaimanapun kajian pensejarahan mendapati bahawa kitab tafsir F? ?il?l al-Qur’?n karangan Sayyid Qu?b adalah salah satu kitab tafsir terbaik yang ditulis berasaskan objektif surah. Justeru, penulisan ini dilakukan bertujuan mengkaji apakah pendapat dan perspektif Sayyid Qu?b tentang menjaga pandangan yang terdapat dalam surah al-Nur, ayat 30-31. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini ialah analisis kandungan terhadap kitab-kitab tafsir dan hadis serta kajian-kajian ilmiah seperti tesis, jurnal-jurnal dan kertas-kertas penyelidikan. Kajian mendapati bahawa tafsiran tentang menjaga pandangan telah dikupas dengan amat terperinci dalam kitab F? ?il?l al-Qur’?n. Selain daripada menjaga pandangan adalah langkah pencegahan daripada perlakuan zina, beliau telah mengaitkan kepentingan menjaga pandangan dengan suasana masyarakat yang bersih dengan mendedahkan teori Freud yang tidak mendatangkan sebarang manfaat malah boleh merosakkan masyarakat. Sayyid Qu?b juga menjelaskan beberapa hukum yang berkaitan dengan menjaga pandangan, kesan-kesan dan akibat daripada tidak menjaganya. Penulisan ini penting kerana dapat menzahirkan pemikiran Sayyid Qu?b mengenai isu penundukan pandangan yang kurang mendapat tumpuan dalam kalangan pengkaji terkini sekaligus membuktikan penguasaan Sayyid Qu?b dalam berbagai ilmu yang dapat membantu mentafsirkan al-Quran al-Karim.
There are few discussions about the Islamic etiquette lowering the gaze as stated in Surah An-Nur verse 30-31 by the Quranic interpretive books (tafsir) in thematic method (mawdu’i). However, the historiography discovered an influential Quranic interpretive manuscript, Fi Zilal al-Qur’an. It is the best Quranic revelatory reference that discussed the content of the Surah objectively. Therefore, this study aims to discover the author’s point of view about manners in lowering the gaze as stated in the Quran. The methodology of this study involves a content analysis of Quranic interpretive books, Hadith and reviews of existing studies from theses, journals, and research papers.Through the analysis, this study found an extensive detail that conversed the morals of lowering the gaze through the book of Fi Zilal al-Qur’an. The book expressed this manner as prevention steps towards unlawful sexual activity (zina). It also suggested this behavior able to regulate the society to become more courtesy. In contrast, the findings contradicted the Freud theory, which was found may harm the community. Sayyid Qu?b also highlighted a few Islamic laws related to the manner of lowering the gaze and the impacts of neglecting it. The author's perspective related to the issue was very significant. There are still limited numbers of discussions in the recent studies. Thus, the variety of knowledge by the author, Sayyid Qu?b proves the ability to enhance the interpretation in al-Qur’an al-Karim
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Overturning risk of furniture in earthquake-affected areas
Full text linkThe main aim of this study is to develop a new straightforward approach to assess the overturning risk of furniture. The proposed formula is based on the geometrical parameters of the furniture and seismic intensity measures. In particular, the equation is identified by fitting the data obtained by Housner’s mechanical model from the literature. The new equation is compared with the model of Kaneko and Hayashi, which, to the authors’ knowledge, is the only existing formulation in the literature to assess the overturning risk of furniture so far. Furthermore, to evaluate the consistency of the proposed formula, a comparison with the literature experimental data has also been performed

Kajian ini akan cuba mengetengahkan konsep ini dalam konteks kehidupan dan penulisan kedua-dua tokoh ini. Kedua-dua tokoh Qu?b dan Shari`ati telah membentuk pandangan bahawa Islam adalah jalan perubahan sosial dan mengetengahkannya sebagai alternatif kepada Kapitalisme dan Komunisme. Kedua-dua tokoh berkongsi pandangan dalam melihat Islam sebagai suatu gerakan politik. Mereka menolak faham nasionalisme sekular yang berpengaruh sekitar tahun 1960an, dan pada masa yang sama mereka juga mengkritik aliran tradisional Sunni ataupun Shi`ah yang mengesampingkan jihad politik. Mereka menentang arus yang menyokong matlamat gerakan nasionalis ketika itu dan pada masa yang sama cuba memikat generasi baru dari kalangan remaja Muslim dan meminggirkan ulama. Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
