Efecto de los métodos de captura sobre aspectos ecológicos del cangrejo azul (Cardisoma guanhumi latreille, 1828) en Puerto Escondido, Córdoba, Caribe colombiano
No full textCardisoma guanhumi comúnmente conocido como cangrejo azul, ha sido clasificado por Ardila et al (2002) como una especie Vulnerable (VU) en el libro rojo de invertebrados marinos de Colombia, su población presenta una fuerte problemática de presión antrópica como consecuencia de la pérdida del hábitat y la explotación de la especie por técnicas de captura que utilizan los pobladores que se benefician de este recurso. Este proyecto de investigación tiene como finalidad evaluar el efecto de los métodos de captura sobre algunos aspectos biológicos del cangrejo azul (Cardisoma guanhumi) en Puerto Escondido, Caribe Colombiano.
Se caracterizaron los métodos de captura artesanales que se aplican para el cangrejo azul en distintas zonas del municipio de Puerto Escondido (trampas, braseado, tapado, chuza, bejucos químicos, en la marcha) para ello se recopiló información primaria obtenida de los cangrejeros que tienen como sustento la captura esta especie, teniendo en cuenta el comportamiento bimodal climático, por ello se realizaron 4 muestreos, dos en cada temporada (invierno, verano). Así mismo se determinó la densidad poblacional y condición reproductiva de la especie, para ello se contabilizaron el número y estado de las madrigueras, características como el sexo, numero hembras ovadas, patrones de coloración y medidas morfométricas. De las madrigueras se obtuvo un total de 375 y del cual 203 individuos capturados en la época lluviosa dando el 54% y el 46% época seca, del total de los individuos capturados los machos adultos presentaron un 52.3%, las hembras adultas un 22,3%, en hembras ovadas fue de 5,23% para el estadio juvenil un 14,2% y para el preadulto un 7,14%. Los machos presentaron un mayor tamaño con respecto a las hembras y distintos patrones de coloración, debido a que las hembras pierden su color al momento de estas ovadas, toman una coloración blanquecina. Por último, se encontró un método de captura que tiene un mayor efecto frente a los demás métodos de captura sobre la población de Cardisoma guanhumi, su condición reproductiva y proporción de sexos. Esta investigación aporta conocimiento científico para la conservación y manejo sostenible de esta especie en el área de Puerto Escondido, es decir, hacia la parte centro sur del Caribe Colombiano.Cardisoma guanhumi, commonly known as blue crab, has been classified by Ardila et al (2002) as a Vulnerable species (VU) in the red book of marine invertebrates of Colombia. Its population presents a strong problem of anthropic pressure as a consequence of the loss of the habitat and the exploitation of the species by capture techniques used by the residents who benefit from this resource. This research project aims to evaluate the effect of capture methods on some biological aspects of the blue crab (Cardisoma guanhumi) in Puerto Escondido, Colombian Caribbean.
The artisanal capture methods that are applied for blue crab in different areas of the municipality of Puerto Escondido were characterized (traps, braising, covered, chuza, chemical vines, on the fly). For this purpose, primary information obtained from crabbers who have to support the capture of this species, taking into account the bimodal climatic behavior, which is why 4 samplings were carried out, two in each season (winter, summer). Likewise, the population density and reproductive condition of the species were determined, for this the number and state of the burrows, characteristics such as sex, number of ovate females, coloration patterns and morphometric measurements were counted. A total of 375 were obtained from the burrows and of which 203 individuals were captured in the rainy season, giving 54% and 46% in the dry season. Of the total number of captured individuals, adult males represented 52.3%, adult females represented 22. 3%, in ovate females it was 5.23% for the juvenile stage 14.2% and for the pre-adult 7.14%. The males were larger than the females and had different color patterns, because the females lose their color at the time of these ovaries, taking on a whitish color. Finally, a capture method was found that has a greater effect than other capture methods on the population of Cardisoma guanhumi, its reproductive condition and sex ratio. This research provides scientific knowledge for the conservation and sustainable management of this species in the Puerto Escondido area, that is, towards the south-central part of the Colombian Caribbean.1. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
