Filtros embelezadores no Instagram Stories: pistas iniciais sobre a plataformização da beleza
Get PDFEste artigo visa compreender como os filtros embelezadores do Instagram Stories influenciam a percepção de beleza de seus usuários. Estudos informam que a prática de selfies tem orientado jovens em busca de cirurgias e procedimentos estéticos. Frente a isso, a questão de pesquisa é: de que forma os filtros embelezadores do Instagram Stories interferem na percepção de beleza dos seus usuários? Para tanto, recorre-se à bibliografia sobre plataformas digitais, Instagram Stories e selfies, além de um estudo empírico sobre os filtros embelezadores nessa plataforma e aplicação de questionário. Como resultado, percebe-se, no Instagram, uma dinâmica de performance com selfies que se ajusta com a emergência de uma percepção beleza (pele lisa, nariz fino, lábios volumosos) reconhecida pelas usuárias e desejada como resultado de intervenções cirúrgicas e de procedimentos estéticos.

No full textThis article is about aging, the female body and fashion. The research problem focuses on understanding how this relationship between body and fashion occurs to women over 65 years of age. It is a qualitative research based on ethnography, using procedures such as participant observation and record of the biographical narratives. It was possible to show the characteristics of the female body's self-perception in the aging process and its influence on clothing purchasing decisions, opening the space for discussion and contributions to professionals working in the segment, as well as for the researchers of the themes gender, aging and fashion.Este artigo tem como temáticas o envelhecimento, o corpo feminino e a moda. A problemática da pesquisa centra-se em compreender como se dá esta relação entre corpo e moda com mulheres entre 65 a 79 anos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa que se apoia na etnografia, utilizando-se de procedimentos e técnicas tais como a observação-participante e o registro de narrativas biográficas. Foi possível evidenciar as características da autopercepção do corpo feminino no processo de envelhecimento e sua influência sobre as decisões de compra do vestuário, abrindo o espaço para discussão e contribuições para os profissionais que atuam no segmento, bem como para os pesquisadores dos temas gênero, envelhecimento e moda.Este artículo se centra en el envejecimiento, el cuerpo femenino y la moda. El problema de investigación se centra en comprender cómo se produce esta relación entre el cuerpo y la moda con mujeres entre 65 y 79 años. Es una investigación cualitativa basada en la etnografía, que utiliza procedimientos y técnicas como la observación participante y el registro de narraciones biográficas. Fue posible resaltar las características de la autopercepción del cuerpo femenino en el proceso de envejecimiento y su influencia en las decisiones de compra de ropa, abriendo el espacio para la discusión y las contribuciones para los profesionales que trabajan en el segmento, así como para los investigadores sobre los temas de género, envejecimiento. y moda
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Get PDFEste artigo tem como objetivo identificar os negócios de moda caracterizados como empreendedorismo feminino no Rio Grande do Sul, presentes no Instagram. Parte-se da compreensão de que as plataformas digitais atuam como mediadoras das atividades que se dão por meio delas, ao imprimir suas lógicas de funcionamento nas práticas que nela se realizam. Pra isso, foi realizado um levantamento dos perfis dentro do Instagram de empreendimentos femininos, utilizando a plataforma de busca do Google, para, depois, ser feita a análise de cada um deles a fim de verificar pontos como: onde o negócio ficava localizado, se possuia realmente uma mulher por trás do empreendimento, o que o negócio vendia, quantas postagens e seguidores as contas possuem, entre outros. Conclui-se que a maioria desses perfis comercializa produtos, direcionando-os para mulheres e que utiliza o Instagram para a promoção desses produtos, muitas vezes, a partir da imagem pessoal das empreendedoras, e não para a sua venda na própria plataforma.

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
