Perubahan Mutu Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.) Varietas Bima Brebes, Tajuk Dan Bali Karet Yang Disimpan Pada Suhu Rendah
Bawang merah sebagai komoditas hortikultura yang memiliki permintaan yang cukup tinggi diketahui sebagai bahan segar yang cepat mengalami penurunan mutu secara fisik maupun kimia. Teknik penanganan pascapanen yang tepat dibutuhkan agar mutu bawang merah tetap terjaga hingga ke tangan konsumen. Teknik pendinginan merupakan teknik yang sesuai untuk diaplikasikan dalam penyimpanan bawang merah. Salah satu cara penyimpanan yang dapat mempertahankan mutu bawang merah adalah dengan penyimpanan suhu rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa suhu penyimpanan yang optimum terhadap perubahan mutu bawang merah serta mengetahui respon varietas bawang merah pada suhu rendah selama penyimpanan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan petak terbagi (split plot) yang terdiri dari: Suhu Penyimpanan (S) sebagai petak utama yang terdiri (suhu 0 °C, 5 oC ) dengan RH 65-70% dan suhu ruang (25-32°C) RH ruang (52-88%). Varietas sebagai anak petak yang terdiri dari bawang merah varietas: (V1) Bima Brebes, (V2) Tajuk, dan (V3) Bali Karet. Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar air, susut bobot, kekerasan, kerusakan dan kandungan sulfur/volatile reducing substance (VRS).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian perlakuan suhu dan varietas memberikan pengaruh terhadap kadar air, susut bobot, kekerasan, kerusakkan dan nilai sulfur/volatile reducing substance (VRS). Perlakuan atau kondisi penyimpanan dengan suhu 0 oC merupakan suhu terbaik yang dapat mempertahankan kualitas/mutu bawang merah hingga akhir penyimpanan dengan susut bobot 9.77%, 11.61% dan 10.16%, kekerasan 4.45 kgf, kerusakan 0% pada semua varietas dan nilai sulfur 0.43%. Varietas Bima Brebes menghasilkan nilai mutu terendah dengan kerusakan sebesar 35.81%. Susut bobot tertinggi pada suhu 5 oC sebesar 22.3% dan suhu ruang sebesar 37.22%
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. PECTIN EXTRACTION OF SIAMESE PUMPKIN SKIN WITH CONCENTRATION OF HYDROCHLORIC ACID (HCL) SOLUTION
Pectin is commonly used to soften jellies, jams and other products. In addition, fruits and vegetables contain pectin to maintain plant cells. Pectin is a high-value food fiber that can be called a functional food. This pectin plays an important role in gel formation and as a stabilizer in the manufacture of jelly, jam, and marmalade. Pectin is widely used in the food industry because it has the ability to act as a fruit preservative and to form a gel as a base for forming jelly as well as a thickener and stabilizer, while in the food industry it is used in the production of jams, confectionery, pasta and dairy products. The objectives of this study are: To determine the physical and chemical properties and quality of pectin extracted with hydrochloric acid (HCL) and to achieve the optimal concentration of hydrochloric acid solvent. The study was conducted in the agroindustrial laboratory of the agricultural faculty of the university of Tadulako, Palu, Sulawesi Tengah. The duration of the study will be from october 2022 to january 2023. This study is an experimental study based on fruit skins with hydrochloric acid concentrations using a complete one-factor random design (RAL) pattern. The factors tested consist of several hydrochloric acid concentration levels, namely: 1N; 1.5N; 2N; 2.5N; AND 3N. The analytical parameters observed include: yield, methoxil level, water level, ash level and galacturonal acid level. the results of the research carried out that: the concentration of HCl solvent in the extraction of pectin fruit peels is best at a concentration of 3N. The concentration of 3N HCl extracted from the Siamese Pumpkin Skin physical characteristics, namely yield 36.11%, while the chemical properties were 1.99% water content, 0.42% ash content, 3.615% methoxyl content and galactoronate acid 137.88%. and for provide the best quality of pectin from fruit siamese pumpkin skin according to the quality standards set by ippa (international pectin manufacturers association), so it has potential as a thicker and gel forming. based on the results of the research conclusion: Concentration of hydrochloric acid solvent, on extract siamese pumpkin skin best at 3N concentration
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
