pengaruh suhu udara pemanas dalam drying chammber dan tekanan udara kompresor terhadap waktu pengeringan susu pada mesin spray dryer UMM
Susu adalah merupakan salah satu bahan pangan yang mengandung zat-zat makanan yang bernilai gizi tinggi, tapi sayangnya susu segar adalah merupakan produk yang cepat rusak, sehingga hanya sebagian kecil yang dipasarkan sebagai susu segar pada konsumen akhir. Salah satu cara agar susu ini bisa tahan lama ialah dengan mengolahnya menjadi susu bubuk melalui proses pengeringan dengan mneggunakan spray dryer. Daerah malang adalah merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil susu terbesar di Jawa Timur sehingga cukup potensial untuk dikembangkan terutama untuk susu bubuk, karena selama ini pasar susu yang dipasok oleh peternakan swasta berskala menengah dan besar serta beberapa koperasi susu adalah dalam bentuk susu pasteurisasi, sehingga berkenaan dengan hal diatas telah dirancang dan dibuat sebuah mesin spray dryer oleh Atiq cs di Laboratorium teknik mesin UMM. Pada umumnya proses pengeringan pada alat spray dryer ini meliputi 2 langkah proses yaitu proses atomisasi dan proses pengeringan (kontak antara bahan yang akan dikeringkan dengan medium pemanas). Pada proses atomisasi partikel-partikel susu yang terbentuk tergantung pada besar kecilnya tekanan udara yang diberikan kompresor, semakin besar tekanan yang diberikan maka proses atomisasi akan makin bagus sehingga akan menghasilkan butiran-butiran susu yang makin halus dan hal ini akan mengakibatkan luas permukaan pengeringan makin besar sehingga proses pengeringan akan berlangsung dengan cepat, kemudian pada proses pengeringan disini suhu medium pemanas mempunyai peranan yang sangat besar, semakin tinggi suhu yang diberikan semakin cepat pula proses pengeringan yang terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh tekanan kompresor dan suhu udara pemanas terhadap waktu pengeringan yang terjad pada saat proses berlangsung. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan di Lab. Teknik mesin UMM menunjukkan bahwa pada tekanan 1 kg/cm2 dan suhu 90oC memiliki waktu pengeringan paling lama sedangkan waktu pengeringan tersingkat dicapai pada tekanan 2 kg/cm2 dan suhu 110oC. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa korelasi antara tekanan udara, suhu udara pemanas dengan waktu pengeringan adalah berbanding lurus, sehingga makin besar tekanan dan suhu yang diberikan maka waktu yang di butuhkan untuk proses pengeringan akan makin cepat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh tekanan udara kompresor dan suhu udara pemanas sangat besar terhadap waktu pengeringan
Design and Application Evaluation of Pedestrian Crossing Protector
The inter road user conflict of interest bringing on the increase of traffic accident record; in the situation, that pedestrian group usually became the victim, specially the student and the elderly with limitation on crossing the street. An instrument which implementing safety crossing concept, simple manufacture and operation (user friendly), as well as minimum traffic delay occurred, is indispensable. Pedestrian Crossing Protector (PIREN) will be a choice with the function of giving crossing guidance to pedestrian, at a special crossing demand condition. This instrument working concept is using minimum traffic time gap for guiding and managing crossing activity in proper and safe term. The sample crossing activity survey shows that pedestrian and speed characteristics weren’t suitable with the manual and need crossing facility. PIREN that was designed for that situation needs 12.11 seconds for taking across nine people, produces delta-flow and delta-degree of saturation as 24.796 pcu/hr and 0.0104 pts
SIGIT : an information system for integral approach of land management : an LADM implementation in Honduras and Guatemala
In a new and integral land management approach in four municipalities in Honduras and Guatemala the Land Administration Domain Model has been used as a tool in support to system development for land administration. A pilot implementation for municipal information infrastructure in four municipalities (Puerto Cortes, Omoa and Tela in Honduras and Puerto Barrios in Guatemala) should test improved management of geographic information. Data should be published on the web for web access by citizens, a one stop shop has been introduced, and integration of data at different levels avoids data duplication. Very important impact of improved access is in building trust by more transparency. New work procedures have been defined and implemented and the information system SIGIT (Sistema de Información Gestión Integral de Tierras) has been designed and implemented supporting these concepts. Apart from forming the basis for sustainable land transactions and land use planning, the SIGIT can be supportive to a situation where all citizens in a municipality pay the land tax and where land-possession can be converted to legal land ownership. SIGIT operates as a one-stop shop at the municipal side. The design of SIGIT is based upon the Land Administration Domain Model ISO 19152 to manage the cadastre and land use planning data from this point of view. To meet the requirements additions to the LADM were designed. The LADM additions to implement SIGIT in Honduras and Guatemala are necessary to store extra information about spatial zones, parcels and buildings as required by the municipalities during development. Furthermore, the information regarding building and operation permits, with their respective user-defined spatial and administrative rules, were out of scope of LADM. Therefore, the corresponding additions were necessary as well. The paper provides an overview of the SIGIT goals and requirements, the design and development. Within this context the focus is to the use of the LADM and its modifications for SIGIT development and a short evaluation of the LADM as a tool for development
Accident analysis on surabaya - gempol toll road
ABSTRACT
There are significant differences between ordinary road and toll road as a free way. By the term \u27free\u27, it does not mean that a toll road is entirely free from the problems of traffic accidents, even, the tendency for accident is higher in quality.
This study identifies the main factors that cause an accident, vulnerable areas, and actions it have been carried out based on the characteristics of accidents. It aims to formulate alternatives of solutions in order to eliminate the contribution of the causes of accident.
The characteristic of accidents on Surabaya â Gempol Toll Road shows a high rate of occurrence, in which driver take the highest responsibility followed by vehicles and road and environment. The road factor itself as the cause of accidents is almost unidentified. Among the various kinds of vehicle, minibuses are the most vulnerable ones to accident, and this indicates different trend from the past few years.
There is an interrelationship among factors, and they are interacting to one another in causing an accident. An accident often happens due to driver\u27s unpreparedness for the condition created by the toll road. Actions to eliminate accident should be adjusted to the existing characteristics. Single sites management (by the installment of sign post, wingspan, etc) and mass action management (safety campaign and assistance, etc.) are among the recommended actions to take
The Correlation Between Independence Levels and The Efforts to Fulfi ll Personal Hygiene of Elderly in Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Abiyoso Pakem Sleman Yogyakarta
Background: Entering elderly age, a person will experience many physical, mental and social declining. Elderly people will experience deterioration of the independence so that they will require help from others to meet their needs. Requirement that is usually overlooked is the personal hygiene which is one of the basic needs that must be met by every human being.Objective: The research aimed to determine the correlation between the level of independence and the fulfi llment of personal hygiene of the elderly in PSTW Abiyoso Yogyakarta.Methods: The method used was cross sectional survey with a sample of 49 respondents. Outcome measure: The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data was processed by using the Spearman rank statistical test.Results: The result showed that there was a correlation between the level of independence and the eff ort to fulfi ll the personal hygiene of the elderly in PSTW Abiyoso Yogyakarta, with the results’ signifi cant value = 0.001 (p <0,05).Conclusion: there was a correlation between the level of independence and the eff ort to fulfi ll the personal hygiene of the elderly in PSTW Abiyoso Yogyakarta.Keywords: elderly, independence, personal hygien

This research was carried out in Yogyakarta and its surroundings to analyze fare of ojek based on vehicle operating cost. Three types of motorcycles namely Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki that were normally used for ojek was investigated. The results of study show that based on the vehicle operating cost, the fare of ojek using Honda is the cheapest, following Yamaha and Suzuki. The last two types of motorcycles are almost the same at the vehicle operating cost. These figures may advise to operators when they negotiate the fare

Cara Tepat Mengukur Arus Jenuh Pada Lalulintas Tercampur
ABSTRAK
The intention of this research is to introduce a new method in measuring saturation flow in mixed traffic conditions. This is because the conventional method as mentioned in Road Note 34 (RRL, 1963) is difficult and time consuming to apply in mixed traffic conditions.
In the experiment raw data collected by Akbari (2003) was reanalyzed to investigate the saturation flow on five traffic signals in Yogyakarta. A comparative study based on statistical analyses was carried out to investigate the significant difference of the new method compared to the conventional one.
Results of the analyses showed that using the cumulative curve is found to be no significant difference compared to the conventional method. Moreover, the method showed its simplicity and easiness to measure saturation flow in mixed traffic conditions. This concludes that the cumulative curve method is appropriate for measuring saturation flow in mixed traffic conditions.

The existence of ojek is an evident that the formal public transport has limitation in its operation and services. The operation and service of ojek is more attractive compared to the formal public transport in terms of that they could serve door to door and at flexible time operation, albeit with more expensive tariff
The intension of the research is to investigate the characterisitics of ojek operation with focussing on operator\u27s waiting time. Based on this study a further operation management could be carried out to increase the operation performance of ojek.

influenced by the queueing system at stations. Those who don\u27t have queueing system at stations experience waiting time of 1.49 hours and those who have it experience waiting time of 1.93 hours.
