A series of isostructural mesoporous metal-organic frameworks obtained by ion-exchange induced single-crystal to single-crystal transformation

    No full text
A series of metal-organic frameworks representing a non-interpenetrated framework analogue of MOF-14 have been synthesized by using two different linkers, 4,4',4 ''-benzene-1,3,5-triyl-benzoic acid (H3BTB) and 4,4'-bipyridine (Bpy). Interestingly, the transition metal ions in the paddle-wheel metal clusters could be exchanged by other transition metal ions via a direct single-crystal to single-crystal transformation. This post-synthesis route can be used for synthesis of isomorphous metal-organic frameworks that cannot be obtained by direct synthesis.Chemistry, Inorganic & NuclearSCI(E)EI50ARTICLE143953-39554

pi-pi Interaction intercalation of layered carbon materials with metallocene

    No full text
A new hybrid material consisting of ferrocene and layered carbon (LC: graphene oxide (GO) or reduced graphene oxide (RGO)) was prepared through a facile intercalation approach. The structure of ferrocene was well maintained while the strong p-p interaction between LC and ferrocene remarkably suppressed the sublimation of ferrocene and promoted ferrocene to decompose into iron nanoparticles in between layers of LC. The hybrid exhibited excellent electrochemical properties in electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA)

Layered V-B-O polyoxometalate nets linked by diethylenetriamine complexes with dangling amine groups

    No full text
Two layered V-B-O contained polyoxometalate (POM) net structures, denoted as SUT-12 and SUT-13, are reported here. SUT-12 was synthesized by the boric acid flux method, and it represents the first 2D structure constructed from the V6B20 vanadoborate cluster. SUT-13 was synthesized by the hydrothermal method and constructed from V12B6P12 vanadium borophosphate clusters. In both structures, the vanadoborate or vanadium borophosphate clusters were linked through in situ formed Zn(DETA)(2) or Cu(DETA)(2) complexes. Surprisingly, for all DETA molecules in the two metal complexes, there is one dangling amine group when it is coordinated to the metal. The phenomenon of the dangling amine group feature is abnormal and the Cu(DETA)(2) complexes in SUT-13 were taken as an example and studied by the density functional theory (DFT) calculations in order to understand this unusual feature.Chemistry, Inorganic & NuclearSCI(E)[email protected]; [email protected]

A silicogermanate with 20-ring channels directed by a simple quaternary ammonium cation

A silicogermanate, PKU-12, with the -CLO type of zeolite framework was hydrothermally synthesized under fluoride media using diisopropylethylmethylammonium as a structure directing agent. The formation of the silicogermanate zeolite with 20-ring channels has not only extended the -CLO family from phosphates into silicogermanates, but also demonstrated its structural diversity.Chemistry, Inorganic & NuclearSCI(E)EIPubMed4ARTICLE51360-13634
