Énergie et territoires : Une approche multi-scalaire de la transition écologique
No full textThe research work presented in this HDR focused on understanding the mechanisms related to the ecological transition of territories. The systemic reading at the scale of territories questions the transdisciplinary approaches necessary for the analysis and modeling of the dynamics of change. The objective of my work has been to develop within the laboratory another scale of analysis allowing a holistic approach to the energy and environmental transition at the scale of territories. A first part presents my teaching and research activities which naturally led me to develop my research around the theme of energy. The second part presents the various research carried out for ten years within the PIMENT laboratory. We first approach the question of the transition through the prism of the diagnosis and the potentialities of territories in order to understand the dynamics in progress and to evaluate their capacities to engage in this transition. This understanding of territories using data analysis tools that allow us to formulate modeling hypotheses for a prospective approach of the transition. This step allowed us to dene plausible scenarios for different islands in the Indian Ocean and to evaluate the planning tools that would be necessary to implement in order to achieve this change. Finally, in a last theme we address the question of the sustainability of development projects, but more generally of built spaces. This comprehensive approach to sustainability is based on a cross-analysis combining regulatory tools, user perceptions and environmental assessment tools. We are thus interested in all phases of the life of built-up spaces, from the project to the end of life : questioning the identity of the way of living, the environmental quality of the buildings, the impact of anthropic activity and the notion of sustainability of the buildings.Les travaux de recherche présentés dans le cadre cette HDR ont porté sur la compréhension des mécanismes liés à la transition écologique des territoires. La lecture systémique à l’échelle des territoires questionne des approches transdisciplinaires nécessaires à l’analyse et la modélisation des dynamiques de changement . L’objectif de mes travaux a été de développer au sein du laboratoire une autre échelle d’analyse permettant une approche holistique de la transition énergétique et environnementale à l’échelle des territoires. Une première partie présente mes activités d’enseignement et de recherche qui m’ont naturellement conduit à développer ma recherche autour de la thématique de l’énergie. La deuxième partie présente les différentes recherches menées depuis dix ans au sein du laboratoire PIMENT. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textInternational audienceThrough representations of ideal neighborhood, this research aims at exploring way of living and quality of life in Reunion Island, in order to better understand spatial and social behaviors and take them into consideration on sustainable lifestyle. 55 semi structured interviews were performed and have been analyzed by the Iramuteq textual analysis software, supplemented by a manual content analysis. The results highlight that the representations were related to outdoor lifestyle where nature and community are crucial and could influence the perception of new sustainable objects as density, passive building, soft mobility or social cohesion.Quelles représentations du quartier idéal à La Réunion? Une réflexion sur les modes d'habiter et la qualité de vie comme indicateurs de la durabilité urbaine. Résumé : Au travers des représentations du quartier idéal, cette étude vise à explorer les modes d'habiter et la qualité de vie à La Réunion afin de mieux appréhender la congruence homme-environnement et mener des réflexions sur les nouveaux modes d'habiter durable. 55 entretiens semi-directifs ont fait l'objet d'une analyse textuelle assistée par ordinateur (Iramuteq), complétée par une analyse de contenu manuelle. Les résultats mettent en évidence un mode d'habiter et des représentations de la qualité de vie liés à un style de vie tourné vers l'extérieur, à la nature et la vie communautaire, qui influenceraient la perception des nouveaux objets durables dont la densification, les bâtiments passifs, la mobilité douce et la cohésion sociale
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
