Programa de intervenção em enfermagem de reabilitação na pessoa submetida a cirurgia bariátrica
No full textIntrodução: A cirurgia bariátrica, metabólica ou da obesidade apresenta-se como o tratamento mais eficaz para a perda de peso, controlo de comorbilidades, melhoria da qualidade de vida e diminuição da mortalidade na pessoa com obesidade e o enfermeiro especialista de reabilitação assume elevada importância na prevenção de complicações cirúrgicas no pré e pós-operatório
e correção de complicações cirúrgicas no pós-operatório.
Objetivo: Mapear a melhor evidência científica disponível sobre o impacto das intervenções do enfermeiro de reabilitação na pessoa submetida a cirurgia bariátrica e desenvolver um programa de intervenção em enfermagem de reabilitação na pessoa submetida a cirurgia bariátrica no serviço de cirurgia.
Método: Foi realizada uma investigação qualitativa, descritiva e analítica com recurso à elaboração de uma Revisão Scoping que seguiu o método da Joanna Briggs Institute e redigida segundo o Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR), e desenvolvido um Trabalho de Projeto que utilizou o trabalho de campo como método de recolha de dados e a observação e a entrevista como instrumentos de colheita dados. A amostra do estudo foi constituída pela equipa multidisciplinar do Centro de Tratamento Cirúrgico da Obesidade e enfermeiros especialistas em enfermagem de reabilitação do serviço de cirurgia.
Resultados: A Revisão Scoping mapeou o impacto das intervenções do enfermeiro de reabilitação que aplicadas no pré-operatório contribuem para a prevenção e/ou correção de complicações respiratórias e motoras no pré e pós-operatório, satisfação da pessoa, diminuição da ansiedade e redução do tempo de internamento/reinternamento. O Trabalho de Projeto permitiu desenvolver uma análise SWOT do serviço de cirurgia e colher informação e sugestões junto dos peritos baseada nos seus conhecimentos e na sua prática clínica, que contribuíram para o desenvolvimento do programa de intervenção.
Conclusão: O programa de intervenção permite aumentar a consciencialização, a mestria, a autonomia e o empoderamento do enfermeiro de reabilitação na prestação de cuidados de excelência e melhorar os indicadores sensíveis aos cuidados de enfermagem.

Introduction: Bariatric, metabolic or obesity surgery is presented as the most effective treatment for weight loss, control of comorbidities, improvement of quality of life and reduction of mortality in people with obesity and the rehabilitation nurse is of great importance in the prevention of surgical complications in the pre and postoperative period and correction of surgical complications in the postoperative period.
Objective: To map the best scientific evidence on the impact of rehabilitation nurse interventions on people undergoing bariatric surgery and to develop a rehabilitation nursing intervention programme for people undergoing bariatric surgery in the surgical department.
Method: A qualitative, descriptive and analytical investigation was carried out using a Scoping Review that followed the Joanna Briggs Institute method and was written according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR), and a Project Work was developed that used fieldwork as a data collection method and observation and interview as data collection instruments. The study sample was made up of the multidisciplinary team from the Obesity Surgical Treatment Centre and the rehabilitation nurses from the surgical department.
Results: The Scoping Review mapped the impact of rehabilitation nurse interventions that applied in the preoperative period contribute to the prevention and/or correction of respiratory and motor complications in the preoperative and postoperative periods, patient satisfaction, reduced anxiety and shorter hospitalisation/rehospitalisation times. The project made it possible to develop a SWOT analysis of the surgical department and gather information and suggestions from the experts based on their knowledge and clinical practice, which contributed to the
development of the intervention programme.
Conclusion: The intervention programme makes it possible to increase the awareness, mastery, autonomy and empowerment of rehabilitation nurses in providing excellent care and to improve indicators that are sensitive to nursing care.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
