On the normality of Boolean quartics
In the BFA 2023 conference paper, A. Polujan, L. Mariot and S. Picek exhibited the first example of a non-normal but weakly normal bent function in dimension 8. In this note, we present numerical approaches based on the classification of Boolean spaces to explore in detail the normality of bent functions of 8 variables and we complete S. Dubuc s results for dimensions less or equal to 7. Based on our investigations, we show that all bent functions in 8 variables are normal or weakly normal. Finally, we conjecture that more generally all Boolean functions of degree at most 4 in 8 variables are normal or weakly normal
Boolean and vectorial functions : a design-theoretic point of view
Abstract
In this thesis, we investigate various classes of cryptographically significant func-tions, including bent, plateaued and differentially uniform functions, as well as the incidence structures constructed from these mappings.
First, we investigate vectorial bent functions in a small number of variables. We classify and enumerate all vectorial bent functions in six variables. Thereby, we complete the classification of perfect nonlinear functions in six variables of algebraic degree at most three and the enumeration of bent functions in six vari-ables. Moreover, we show that all vectorial bent functions in six variables, in con-trast to the Boolean bent functions, cannot be described, up to EA-equivalence, by Maiorana-McFarland and Desarguesian partial spread constructions.
Furthermore, we investigate whether certain properties of Boolean and vecto-rial bent functions, as well as their generalizations, may be reflected by the asso-ciated incidence structures, which in some cases, fall into the well-studied class of combinatorial designs. In particular, we introduce a new construction of inci-dence structures from Boolean and vectorial functions called nonvanishing flats and provide two applications of this object to study bent functions. The first is a design-theoretic characterization of bent functions among plateaued functions, and the second is a combinatorial interpretation of the extendability problem for bent functions. We also provide a large class of APN functions, whose linear codes support 2-designs. Using this result, we give a new sufficient condition for APN functions with the classical Walsh spectrum to be CCZ-inequivalent to quadratic functions.
Finally, we investigate cubic Boolean bent functions. We prove that, in con-trast to the cases of n = 6 and n = 8 variables, the Maiorana-McFarland con-struction does not describe the whole class of cubic bent functions in n variables for all n ≥ 10. Moreover, we show that cubic bent functions in n variables that are homogeneous, have no affine derivatives and are not in the completed Maiorana-McFarland class exist for infinitely many n ≥ 10
Alexandr Sukorov’s passıng world
The author of this article concentrates his attention on the films directed by Alexandr Sokurov, a distinguished contemporary Russian filmmaker. Syska describes the political and aesthetical background of Sokurov’s works, underlying their key motifs: melancholy, nostalgia, reminiscences, decay of physical world, memories and time. The author mentions autobiographical components of Sokurov’s screenplays, describes his childhood defined by eternal displacement of his family, as well as the adultness - with political troubles caused by anti-communism attitude and close friendship with Tarkovsky. Syska analyzes the literary context of Sokurov’s films, cultural paradigm, religious character of film narration and theme of carnal sacrifice. All of them allow him to describe the human as someone who is deeply devoted to the internal world of memories, nostalgia, passing time and intimate relationship with dying parents
Los "Suvenires del meldar" de Alexandr Ben-Guiat
The present paper offers the edition of a Judeo-Spanish text describing certain aspects of the meldar -the Jewish religious elementary school- in late nineteenth-century Smyrne. The author of the text presents in an ironic fashion a number of amusing situations and anecdotes which he himself had experienced as a boy during his schooldays. The work provides us with important data of a socio-historical interest that broadens our knowledge of education within Sephardic communities in the Eastern Mediterranean world
Cubic bent functions outside the completed Maiorana-McFarland class
In this paper we prove that in opposite to the cases of 6 and 8 variables, the Maiorana-
McFarland construction does not describe the whole class of cubic bent functions in n
variables for all n ≥ 10. Moreover, we show that for almost all values of n, these functions
can simultaneously be homogeneous and have no affine derivatives.Projekt DEAL 202
Value Distributions of Perfect Nonlinear Functions
In this paper, we study the value distributions of perfect nonlinear
functions, i.e., we investigate the sizes of image and preimage sets. Using
purely combinatorial tools, we develop a framework that deals with perfect
nonlinear functions in the most general setting, generalizing several results
that were achieved under specific constraints. For the particularly interesting
elementary abelian case, we derive several new strong conditions and
classification results on the value distributions. Moreover, we show that most
of the classical constructions of perfect nonlinear functions have very
specific value distributions, in the sense that they are almost balanced.
Consequently, we completely determine the possible value distributions of
vectorial Boolean bent functions with output dimension at most 4. Finally,
using the discrete Fourier transform, we show that in some cases value
distributions can be used to determine whether a given function is perfect
nonlinear, or to decide whether given perfect nonlinear functions are
equivalent.Comment: 28 pages. minor revisions of the previous version. The paper is now

Alexandr Gel'evič Dugin's Neo-Eurasianist Ideology in Contemporary Russia
The object of the thesis consists of an analysis of the neo-Eurasianist ideology from the viewpoint of Alexandr Dugin, philosopher and author of "The Fourth Political Theory" and several related essays. The objective of this enquiry is multiple, developing into three parts: the first one concerns the historical reconstruction of some dynamics of Russian society and culture which laid the foundations for this way of thought, retracing the steps of classical Eurasianism and its most famous representatives. The second gets into the Fourth Political Theory and the idea of Eurasia for Alexander Dugin, through the conceptions of civilization, people and large spaces, deconstructing the thinker's dialectics as much as possible. This is by far the densest and most important part, where the esoteric and strictly metaphysical characteristics of Dugin's thought are exposed. Finally, the last branch is dedicated to ideological praxis as it is manifesting itself in contemporary Russia, casting an objective look at the actual influence of the philosopher in the politics of the Federation. In conclusion, Eurasianism, as well as neo-Eurasianism, are exposed in this thesis as a little-known yet fundamental aspect of the history of political doctrines, which has a real impact on the current domestic affairs in Russia, and in particular dealing with the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and the approach of the relations with the NATO member States
