New insights into the distribution and the ecology of Cerastium siculum Guss. (Caryophyllaceae)
No full textCerastium siculum is a poorly known vascular plant of the French Mediterranean coast. A bibliographical synthesis supplemented by herbarium consulting helped to establish its world distribution (France, Corsica, Italy, Sicily, Sardinia). This work leads to consider C. siculum as a Tyrrhenian species present only in Italy and France. Its ecology has been clarified as well, and shows that the species grows on sandy-silty to siltysandy substrate without salt, at a neutral pH and with low vegetation maintained by a pastoral charge (primary habitat). However, it may also grow on marginal habitats in back sand dune situations or in the sandy ridge of small streams.Cerastium siculum est une plante vasculaire méconnue de la côte méditerranéenne française. Une synthèse bibliographique complétée par la consultation de nombreux herbiers a permis d’établir sa distribution mondiale (France, Corse, Italie, Sicile, Sardaigne). Ce travail conduit à considérer C. siculum comme une espèce tyrrhénienne présente uniquement en Italie et en France. Son écologie a également été clarifiée et montre que l’espèce pousse sur un substrat sablolimoneux à simono-sableux sans sel, à pH neutre et avec une végétation basse maintenue par une charge pastorale (habitat principal). Cependant, il peut aussi pousser sur des habitats marginaux dans des dunes de sable ou sur la crête sablonneuse de petits ruisseaux.Traclet Sébastien, Pires Mathias. No full textTese (doutorado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, Programa de Pós-Graduação em História, Florianópolis, 2013.Desde os primeiros anos do século XX, a empresa da família Haas de Blumenau (Santa Catarina, Brasil) dedica-se ao mercado funerário. A pequena oficina, fundada por Mathias e seu pai, estabeleceu-se com a fabricação de túmulos e a arte dos marmoristas, com destaque para o próprio Mathias que esculpiu na pedra, túmulos e ornamentos funerários. A administração da empresa, sempre a cargo de membros da Haas, depois de algumas décadas de dedicação à arquitetura funerária e também civil, concentrou seus esforços na gerência de uma agência funerária. Com a funerária, a empresa ofereceu aos seus clientes uma série de serviços voltados ao cuidado do corpo e por último, entrou no segmento de vendas de planos funerários. Desde a sua fundação, a empresa enfrentou mudanças e teve que administrar momentos de transição e de adequação de seus produtos e investimentos para conciliar mudanças nos ritos e a entrada de novidades no mercado funerário. A trajetória da família Haas possibilitou as reflexões desta tese que buscou pensar sobre as atitudes fúnebres e a morte, em diferentes momentos, por meio de sua empresa. Contando com um acervo documental formado por imagens, escritos pessoais, partes de construções tumulares, blogs, notas fiscais, documentos administrativos, catálogos de modelos tumulares e depoimentos, foram percebidas mudanças no tratamento do corpo morto e no seu destino final. <br
The reality of fiction: the ECO by Mathias Goeritz

This article covers the full biography of a building, the Experimental Museum El Eco, designed by Germanborn and Mexican émigré artist and architect Mathias Goeritz. It provides an approach intersecting the biography of the author, the history of the building, and prominent individuals of the two cultural traditions, German and Mexican, who participated in the creation of a very special and unique building: El Eco. On the one hand, the ethics of Expressionism, the interest in non-European art, the cult of primitivism and the aesthetic system of the pair of concepts abstraction-empathy, all stemming from German culture. On the other, the pantheistic religiosity of landscape, zoomorphism and anthropomorphism, the interest in masks, and the aesthetics of monumental scale, stemming from pre-Cortesian Mexican culture. Taking the stance of intertwining Mathias Goeritz parcours with those of individuals and issues from his German past and his Mexican future – highlighting the figures of Wilhelm Worringer, Paul Westheim, Luis Barragán, Edmundo O'Gorman, and Ida Rodríguez Prampolini – this article proposes a return trip from fiction to reality, following in the footsteps of the author and comparing them with the pathway of the very building El Eco
