This thesis deals with position control of movable solenoid core without using a distance sensor. There are several methods of sensorless position estimation presented in theoretical part. The method based on measurement of ripple current is chosen for experiments. Firstly, it is verified by simulations with mathematical model of solenoid. After that, the experiment is created. The goal is position control based on sensorless method

Tito vybraní respondenti přispěli k hlubšímu pochopení problematiky debutantů, zejména v kontextu jejich pracovních postupů, tvůrčího procesu a hodnocení vybraných metod. The aim of this thesis is to provide insight into the current generation of cinematographers who debuted between 2014 and 2023. The thesis is based on the collection, processing, and evaluation of data into tables and graphs, with an emphasis on qualitative research through interviews with two respondents to explore the topic in depth and capture insights. These selected respondents contributed to a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by debutants, particularly in the context of their working methods, creative processes, and evaluation of selected techniques. The results revealed two dominant genres among the debutants comedy and drama. The approach of both cinematographers differed in many respects, but their work also exhibited a number of common features. The topic is well-mapped in a model sense, but it has the potential for further expansion to include more respondents

Draft bolting torque in plastic components

This bachelor thesis is dealing with problem of screw connections in plastic components. There are universally described screw connections, threads of tapping screws, issue of prestressed bolt connections and ways to make pretension. Knowledge was applied to specific bolt connection (which is in production) to verify the assembly method. The examined connection was put to the destructive test and the test which explores pressure marks on the plastic components. Results were numerically processed and statistically evaluated. The accuracy of current tightening tools was verified too

ND FILTRATION WITH DIGITAL CINEMA CAMERAS

    No full text
This thesis concerns the possibilities of neutral density filters which are used on digital cameras. It is focused on the development of filters, information about technological innovations and solutions. Understanding this issue is an important part of the cinematographer's work, as neutral density filters are the most used filters, especially in the exteriors. The theoretical knowledge is used in the practical part of the thesis focused on camera filter testing

This thesis deals with the formal elements of composition and is mainly focused on lines. The issue is outlined from the physiological standpoint of perception of vision, including the transformation from 3D to 2D space, as well as from the psychological standpoint concentrated on the perception of lines. Part of the thesis is an analysis of the film 'Organ', focusing on visual dramaturgy.Ústav animace a audiovizeobhájen

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
