Janosch e a “arte de viver”
No full textFreudian “art of living” is applied here to study German children’s literature author Janosch. The purpose is mainly focused studying this writer from an analytic perspective in Civilisation and Its Discontents by Sigmund Freud. It is selected a corpus of the Germanauthor, where previously is study the concepts of pleasure and displeasure in Freud work. Thus, it is suggested how Janosch works propose a different choice to overcome the discontents against the traditional libidinal economy. The analysis shows how the charactersbuild their own strategies, which allow to speak regarding the “art of living” as an intransitive desire; that jeopardizes traditional logic, a revaluation of the other from solidarity and aradical option for pleasure over culture. The results display a renewed and complex vision of an author of children’s literature. The creation by Janosch questions the values of thecontemporary society and appeals to the reader to review its hierarchies.Situamos la obra del escritor infantil alemán Janosch dentro de la corriente del “arte de vivir”. Este busca la plena realización del sujeto desde un planteamiento personal y crítico. El propósito central de este artículo será determinar la particularidad de Janosch abriendo un diálogo desde laproblematización de Freud en El malestar en la cultura. Para el análisis optamos por una revisión de un corpus escogido de Janosch. Previa síntesis de la problemática del placer y el displacer según Freud, se determinan cuáles son las principales salidas de Janosch al malestar y cómo se diferencia de una economía libidinal tradicional. El análisis muestra cómo los personajes construyen sus propias estrategias, lo que permite hablar de un “arte de vivir”. Estas son: un “deseo intransitivo” que pone en jaque la lógica tradicional, una revaloración del otro desde la solidaridad y una radical opción por el placer por sobre la cultura. Los resultados de la reflexión permiten una visión renovada y compleja de un autor de literatura infantil. El mundo creado por Janosch cuestiona desde una inusitada frescura los valores de nuestra sociedad contemporánea y apela al lector a una revisión de sus jerarquías.Classifica-se a obra do escritor infantil alemão Janosch dentro da corrente da “arte de viver”. Essa procura a total realização do sujeito a partir de um posicionamento pessoal e crítico. O propósito central deste artigo será determinar a particularidade de Janoschabrindo um diálogo a partir da problematização de Freud em O mal-estar na cultura. Para a análise decidiu-se por uma revisão de um corpus escolhido de Janosch. Support for a Carbon Tax in the US 2022: Testing the effect of exposure to endorsements by a minipublic, the Federal Government, environmental advocacy groups, and climate change scientists
No full textThis study tests the effect of an endorsement for a carbon tax to limit climate change on respondents’ support and willingness to pay for said tax in the USA. It is a replication and extension of another preregistered study from 2021 (https://osf.io/dav3b). It is designed to compare the effects of the same policy endorsement across four sources: a minipublic, the Federal Government, an environmental advocacy group and a consortium of climate scientists. Additionally, it tests whether exposure to a minipublic statement increases the perceived legitimacy, trust, and competence of minipublics generally. It tests whether the exposure has secondary benefits. Moreover, we test the effects of so-called legitimizing myths—i.e., short descriptions of the minipublic. Finally, we include methodological experiments
Die Institutionalisierung von Klimaräten durch Klimaschutzgesetzgebung
No full textZusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit der Rolle von klimapolitischen Beratungsgremien (zusammenfassend als Klimaräte bezeichnet) bei der Umsetzung von Klimaschutzzielen und -gesetzen. Er bietet zunächst aus politikwissenschaftlicher Perspektive einen konzeptionellen Überblick über solche Klimaräte, ihre Funktionen und die Möglichkeit, sie als partizipative und deliberative Institutionen auszugestalten. Im Anschluss unternimmt der Beitrag eine vergleichende rechtliche Analyse der Klimaräte, die auf den Ebenen der Europäischen Union, des Bundes und der Länder in Klimaschutzgesetzen institutionalisiert wurden. Hierbei liegt der Fokus auf den Funktionen, der Zusammensetzung und den Aufgaben dieser Gremien. Im Ergebnis nehmen sowohl die Zahl als auch der Grad der Institutionalisierung von Klimaräten zu. Es verbleiben aber insbesondere auf Bundes- und, in noch größerem Umfang, auf Landesebene ungenutzte Potenziale, was die institutionalisierte Einbindung der Klimaräte in die Klima-Governance und die Integration stärker partizipativ-deliberativ ausgestalteter Formate angeht

No full textThis is a replication and extension of preregistered survey experiments fielded in 2021 and replicated in 2022-2023 (for details see https://osf.io/dav3b and https://osf.io/zpswu). We collect data for two studies, one replication and extension of source effects, and one replication and extension of legitimizing myths effects.
We test whether the effects of a persuasive text promoting a Carbon Tax depend on the message source (scientists, government, minipublic, no source, control group). Moreover, we test whether the effects are moderated by how the message sources were described (scientists, minipublic, environmental NGO)
