Healthcare spending in ASEAN countries has been increasing along with economic growth, changes in the aging population, and urbanization. The growing number of elderly people and differences in mortality rates across countries create challenges in healthcare financing. This study aims to understand how economic growth, the elderly population, the labor force, and mortality rates affect healthcare spending in 10 ASEAN countries from 2012 to 2021. To analyze these relationships, the study uses statistical methods that compare different models for more accurate results. The findings show that higher economic growth and a larger elderly population lead to increased healthcare spending. Meanwhile, the effect of mortality rates on healthcare spending varies depending on the quality of healthcare infrastructure in each country. Additionally, urbanization also plays a role in driving healthcare spending. It is hoped that this research can help the government in determining policies in the health system in each country

The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) is one of the stock market indices used by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This index covers the price movements of all common and preferred stocks listed on the IDX. IHSG is of significant interest to all investors, as its movements influence whether investors will buy, hold, or sell their stocks. This study aims to estimate the impact of inflation, exchange rates, interest rates, and economic growth on IHSG for the period 2000-2020 using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis. The OLS method is a statistical technique used to identify the relationship between independent and dependent variables in a linear regression model. The results of the study indicate that exchange rates and economic growth have a positive impact on IHSG, while inflation negatively affects IHSG. Meanwhile, interest rates do not have an impact on IHSG. The government and Bank Indonesia, as the monetary authority in Indonesia, are expected to control inflation in order to stimulate the economy, encourage investor confidence, and foster the development of the capital market in Indonesia

The economic condition of a country can be seen from its economic growth. The authority responsible for formulating fiscal and monetary policies to control economic growth. As the country's central bank, Bank Indonesia has policies to manage the economy. Monetary policy is what this means. The aim of this research is to examine how monetary policy affects economic growth. The Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach was applied to the multiple linear regression model in this research. Economic growth is greatly influenced by the money supply, exchange rate, and inflation, all of which are based on monetary policy which is represented by the SBI interest rate. Economic growth is influenced negatively and significantly by the SBI interest rate, positively and significantly by inflation, and negatively but not significantly by the money supply and exchange rate variables

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
