Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

La investigación titulada “Estrategias de comunicación de marketing en el
posicionamiento del restaurante Sazón Perucha D’ PASO, Nuevo Chimbote, 2022”
encierra la siguiente formulación del problema: ¿De qué manera la aplicación de
estrategias de comunicación de marketing se relaciona con el posicionamiento del
restaurante Sazón Perucha D’ PASO?, y tiene como objetivo principal determinar
la relación de la aplicación de estrategias de comunicación de marketing en el
posicionamiento de restaurante Sazón Perucha D’ PASO. En este caso se formuló
una hipótesis general que consiste en: Las estrategias de comunicación de
marketing se relacionan de manera significativa en el posicionamiento del
restaurante Sazón Perucha D’ PASO. Este estudio es de tipo aplicado, de un
enfoque cuantitativo y con un diseño no experimental - descriptivo (correlacional);
abarca a ciento dieciséis consumidores como parte de su población de estudio. Se
realizó una formula estadística de población finita, donde noventa consumidores
fueron los elegidos a través del muestreo no probabilístico mediante el uso de
criterios de exclusión e inclusión; como instrumento de recolección de datos se
utilizó el cuestionario y la técnica utilizada fue la encuesta. Según el estudio se
concluye que posee una correlación alta positiva (Rho=0,874) entre estrategias de
comunicación de marketing en el posicionamiento del restaurante Sazón Perucha
D’ PASO, Nuevo Chimbote en el año 2022
El e-business y su relación con la cadena de suministro en la empresa Republica Perucha S. A. C., Miraflores, 2023
El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la relación que existe entre el e-business y la cadena de suministro en la empresa Republica Perucha S.A.C., Miraflores, 2023.
Se realizó un análisis cuantitativo, tipo descriptivo-correlacional con corte transversal y diseño no experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 16 trabajadores, a quienes se les aplicó la técnica de la encuesta mediante un cuestionario, validado por expertos, con escala de tipo Likert para cada variable y se determinó su confiabilidad mediante el Alfa de Cronbach. Se usó el programa SPSS versión 26 para el procesamiento de datos y la elaboración de tablas estadísticas, a su vez se usó la prueba de Pearson y Spearman para establecer la relación entre ambas variables.
Se concluyó que sí existe una relación entre el e-business y la cadena de suministros en la empresa Republica Perucha S.A.C., 2023, ya que el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson de ambas variables es de 0,675, lo que indica que existe relación significativa y positiva.The objective of this research was to determine the relationship that exists between e-business and the supply chain in the company Republica Perucha S.A.C., Miraflores, 2023.
A quantitative analysis was carried out, descriptive-correlational type with cross-section and non-experimental design. The sample was made up of 16 workers, to whom the survey technique was applied through a questionnaire, validated by experts, with a Likert-type scale for each variable and its reliability was determined using Cronbach's Alpha. The SPSS version 26 program was used for data processing and the preparation of statistical tables. In turn, the Pearson and Spearman test was used to establish the relationship between both variables.
It was concluded that there is a relationship between e-business and the supply chain in the company Republica Perucha S.A.C., 2023, since the Pearson correlation coefficient of both variables is 0.675, which indicates that there is a significant and positive relationship
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
Author, publisher and bookseller : a tripartite synergy in Nigerian book industry
This work is about the roles of Author, Publisher and Bookseller in Book development in
Nigeria. The paper started by delving into the history of Book Publishing in Nigeria after
which it proceeded by defining who an author, a publisher, and a bookseller is and
expatiated on the indispensable roles of these key actors in Nigerian Book Industry and in
the emerging Information Society. Furthermore, the various constraints to book
development were identified while the paper advised on how the Book Industry can be
further promoted in Nigeria. However, the paper concluded and made recommendations
on how the Book sector can help in enhancing scholarship in the country
