Interaction between crofer 22 APU current collector and LSCF cathode contacting layer under cell operation
In this work the oxidation of Crofer 22 APU and its interaction with La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 (LSCF) applied as contacting layer have been investigated in air at 750°C under a current load of 0.5 Acm-2 with the aim to reproduce as close as possible the interconnect interface in real operating conditions. The effects of such interaction and of the pre-oxidation treatment have been studied by means of ASR measurement and post-experiment characterizations. The behavior of such samples has been compared with the results on a working Crofer 22 APU bipolar plate tested as cathode current collector of an anode-supported cell reproducing the stack cathode compartment conditions
Thermal stability of WS2 flakes and gas sensing properties of WS2/WO3 composite to H2, NH3 and NO2
We report on the fabrication and on the morphological, structural, chemical and the electrical characterization of WS2 thin films sensors prepared by drop casting a commercial solution of dispersed few-layers WS2 flakes on Si3N4 interdigitated substrates and annealing the films in air at 150 °C, 250 °C and 350 °C. Thermal stability of WS2 in air at different annealing temperatures has been investigated by X-ray photoemission spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and by simultaneous thermal analysis techniques. We found that WS2 is not stable in air and partially oxidizes to amorphous WO3 in the annealing temperature range 25 °C–150 °C. The oxidation of WS2 in air at 250 °C and 350 °C yields a composite crystalline WS2/WO3 hierarchical structure characterized by the presence of surface oxygen and sulphur vacancies. The contribution of each phase of the WS2/WO3 composite to the overall chemoresistive gas response utilizing H2 (1–10 ppm), NH3 (1–10 ppm) and NO2 (40 ppb–1 ppm) gases in dry air carrier is presented and discussed. WS2/WO3 composite films show excellent gas sensing properties to reducing (H2, NH3) as respect to oxidizing (NO2) gases at 150 °C operating temperature. In this work we found low detection limits of 1 ppm H2, 1 ppm NH3 and 100 ppm NO2 in dry air carrier, among the smallest so far ever reported for transition metal dichalcogenides. Furthermore, the sensor doesn't show any cross sensitivity effects to both H2 and NH3 when exposed to water vapor. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Binding Characteristics of Anticancer Drug Doxorubicin with Two-Dimensional Graphene and Graphene Oxide : Insights from Density Functional Theory Calculations and Fluorescence Spectroscopy
There has been a perpetual interest in identifying suitable nano-carriers for drug delivery. In this regard, graphene-based two-dimensional materials have been proposed and demonstrated as drug carriers. In this paper, we have investigated the adsorption characteristics of a widely used anticancer drug, doxorubicin (DOX), on graphene (G) and graphene oxide (GO) by density functional theory calculations and fluorescence and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies. From the calculated structural and electronic properties, we have concluded that G is a better binder of DOX compared to GO, which is also supported by our fluorescence measurements. The binding of DOX to G is mainly based on strong pi-pi stacking interactions. Consistent with this result, we also found that the sp(2) regions of GO interact with DOX stronger than the sp(3) regions attached with the functional groups; the binding is characterized by pi-pi and hydrogen-bonding interactions, respectively.</p
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
