Il project management tra governo e gestione d'impresa. L'evoluzione della disciplina dalle origini ad oggi

    No full text

Hypothesis for a new model to support the Public Research ICT spin‐offs

    No full text
The paper aims at giving an answer to the requirements of ICT spinoffs throughout their lifecycle. The starting assumption has been that the ICT spin‐offs are small‐sized ICT companies. The awareness that small ICT companies don't usually follow a linear process of development leads us to think of a model that allows an “injected” support at each phase of the spin‐off lifecycle, by training resources that meet the requirements of specific company’s scenarios. The phases of the evolution of spin‐off companies all along their lifecycle have been re‐interpreted in a dynamic way so to conceive a model supporting them and allowing an adequate outliving. The model envisages a support both in terms of human and financial resources. The adopted approach recycles the work carried out by the third generation business incubators and it introduces the “injectors”, service providers and facilities useful to raise resources that might be later on employed by the spin‐off itsel

Objectives: Drawing on the reflections and conceptualizations concerning the methodological framework of Viable Systems Approach (VSA), the aim of the chapter is to advance conceptual reflections on the governance of current and complex entrepreneurial dynamics by proposing the Enterprise Relational View (ERV) as a theoretical framework. Methodology. An overview of key levers of VSA and ERV is conducted in order to identify the features, the main points of convergence of both frameworks and the possible developments. Implications. From a theoretical point of view, the study allows a better understanding of the mechanisms through which to feed entrepreneurial vitality paths. From a managerial point of view, the research can support managers and entrepreneurs in the definition of the most appropriate relational strategies to feed value co-creation processes and, by this, support decision-making processes in order to increase the system's viability. Research limits. The study provides a theoretical-conceptual framework that could be the starting point for a case study, opening up opportunities for further analysis and empirical research. Originality of the study. The originality of the chapter lies in proposing a synthesis model (ERV) which by highlighting the relevance of the VSA for the progress of studies on the governance of organizations, emphasizes the importance of relationships to facilitate the entrepreneurial decision-making

Leveraging intellectual capital as a component of an extant sustainable business excellence model and using the theoretical lens of Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) theory, this paper investigates the impact of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices on the hotel environmental performance by indirect effects of employees’ environmental passion and employees’ pro-environmental behavior. We utilized multi-time survey data collected from employees working in the hotel industry to test hypothesized relationships. Data have been analyzed through Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that green human resource management practices positively influence hotel environmental performance via single mediation of environmental passion and pro-environmental behavior and serial mediation of environmental passion and pro-environmental behavior. Furthermore, the moderating effects of environmental passion were also statistically significant. Our research contributed to offering implications for both scholars and practitioners generally in the tourism and hospitality sector and particularly in hotels on the need to implement effective HR systems integrated with the environmental goals of the organization to provoke a sense of environmental responsibility and nurture green values to achieve environmental objectives

Purpose The ongoing paradigm shift in the energy sector holds paramount implications for the realization of the sustainable development goals, encompassing critical domains such as resource optimization, environmental stewardship and workforce opportunities. Concurrently, this transformative trajectory within the power sector possesses a dual-edged nature; it may ameliorate certain challenges while accentuating others. In light of the burgeoning research stream on open innovation, this study aims to examine the intricate dynamics of knowledge-based industry-university-research networking, with an overarching objective to elucidate and calibrate the equilibrium of ambidextrous innovation within power systems. Design/methodology/approach The authors scrutinize the role of different innovation organizations in three innovation models: ambidextrous, exploitative and exploratory, and use a multiobjective decision analysis method-entropy weight TOPSIS. The research was conducted within the sphere of the power industry, and the authors mined data from the widely used PatSnap database. Findings Results show that the breadth of knowledge search and the strength of an organization’s direct relationships are crucial for ambidextrous innovation, with research institutions having the highest impact. In contrast, for exploitative innovation, depth of knowledge search, the number of R&D patents and the number of innovative products are paramount, with universities playing the most significant role. For exploratory innovation, the depth of knowledge search and the quality of two-mode network relations are vital, with research institutions yielding the best effect. Regional analysis reveals Beijing as the primary hub for ambidextrous and exploratory innovation organizations, while Jiangsu leads for exploitative innovation. Practical implications The study offers valuable implications to cope with the dynamic state of ambidextrous innovation performance of the entire power system. In light of the findings, the dynamic state of ambidextrous innovation performance within the power system can be adeptly managed. By emphasizing a balance between exploratory and exploitative strategies, stakeholders are better positioned to respond to evolving challenges and opportunities. Thus, the study offers pivotal guidance to ensure sustained adaptability and growth in the power sector’s innovation landscape. Originality/value The primary originality is to extend and refine the theoretical understanding of ambidextrous innovation within power systems. By integrating several theoretical frameworks, including social network theory, knowledge-based theory and resource-based theory, the authors enrich the theoretical landscape of power system ambidextrous innovation. Also, this inclusive examination of two-mode network structures, including the interplay between knowledge and cooperation networks, unveils the intricate interdependencies between these networks and the ambidextrous innovation of power systems. This approach significantly widens the theoretical parameters of innovation network researc
