No full textI-V characteristics and detection performance of particle detectors based on semi-insulating InP are presented. Schottky, barrier detectors with a nitride barrier-enhanced interfacial layer and a Schottky back contact give a char ge collection efficiency over 75 % and energy, resolution better than 4.5 % (FWHM) for 5.48 MeV alpha-particles at room temperature. An Econometric model for the evolution of the Romanian Interbank Bid Rate (ROBID) in the context of the international financial crisis
No full textThe paper presents the econometric modeling of overnight inter-banking interest rates (ROBID) in our country, the analyzed period is between 1999-2010. The international financial crises had a great impact on the level of inter-banking interest rates after 2007 and it reflects the new level of risk for the Romanian system banking. The econometric model used in modeling the interest rates is an autoregressive moving average (ARMA) model, the ARMA model is typically applied to time series data; the paper propose several ARMA models, applies econometric tests and based on them the analyzed series (the inter-banking interest rates) forecast will be made.ROBID, ARIMA model, financial crisis, forecast.

Performance of radiation detectors based on semi-insulating GaAs and InP
No full textMain improvements in development of radiation detectors based on semi-insulating (SI) GaAs and InP is demonstrated and discussed. It should be accounted that advantage of the low cost detector is related to SI materials only. We developed a modified technology of an "extraction electrode" system using peculiar MBE or implantation buffer prior evaporation of the ohmic metallisation. Development of 32-pixel line chip based on bulk SI GaAs named "SAMO" was finished in our laboratory by the end of 1999. Measured I-V curves (300 K) and pulse height spectra for 59.5 and 122 keV photon detection are presented. We should note that our effort in fabrication of monolithic pixel array with SI InP was not successful till now due to very high transconductance between active pixels as a result of quasi-ohmic transport behaviour of the structure
