Kata Kunci: Media Youtube,Retorika Dakwah,Zakir Naik ABSTRACT Indonesia is the country ranked 4th with the most YouTube users in the world. In the modern era, social media such as YouTube has become the most effective means for preaching, because all information can be accessed in almost all corners of the world just by social media. Zakir Naik is a preacher who has converted hundreds of thousands of people with his preaching. Therefore, the author is interested in knowing how the rhetoric of Zakir Naik's preaching is in terms of language style and body movements. The research method uses qualitative descriptive methods and data collection through observation and documentation. This research is studied using Aristotle's rhetorical theory, namely elocution or style which consists of language style and body movement style. The results of these findings show that the language style used by Zakir Naik is a language style based on word choice, tone and sentence structure. Zakir Naik uses language style well and adapts to the moment when to use language based on word choice, tone and sentence structure. The body movement style that Zakir Naik uses in YouTube videos is a straight body position with a white skullcap which he always wears in every video of his preaching and don't forget the suit and tie he always wears. Zakir Naik's eyes always look at the audience with lots of expressions such as smiling, flat, frowning and pursing his mouth, and hand movements with hands pointing down, raising hands up, holding hands to stomach. Revised World Health Organization (WHO)’s causality assessment of adverse events following immunization—a critique

    No full text
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recently revised how adverse events after immunization (AEFI) are classified. Only reactions that have previously been acknowledged in epidemiological studies to be caused by the vaccine are classified as a vaccine-product–related-reaction. Deaths observed during post-marketing surveillance are not considered as ‘consistent with causal association with vaccine’, if there was no statistically significant increase in deaths recorded during the small Phase 3 trials that preceded it. Of course, vaccines  noted to have caused a significant increase in deaths in the control-trials stage would probably not be licensed. After licensure, deaths and all new serious adverse reactions are labelled as ‘coincidental deaths/events’ or ‘unclassifiable’, and the association with vaccine is not acknowledged. The resulting paradox is evident. The definition of causal association has also been changed. It is now used only if there is ‘no other factor intervening in the processes’. Therefore, if a child with an underlying congenital heart disease (other factor), develops fever and cardiac decompensation after vaccination, the cardiac failure would not be considered causally related to the vaccine. The Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety has documented many deaths in children with pre-existing heart disease after they were administered the pentavalent vaccine. The WHO now advises precautions when vaccinating such children. This has reduced the risk of death. Using the new definition of causal association, this relationship would not be acknowledged and lives would be put at risk. In view of the above, it is necessary that the AEFI manual be revaluated and revised urgently. AEFI reporting is said to be for vaccine safety. Child safety (safety of children) rather than vaccine safety (safety for vaccines) needs to be the emphasis.</ns4:p

SHAPE: A Parallelization Tool for Sparse Matrix Computations

    No full text
We describe the design, implementation and performance of a Sparse Hybrid Automatic Parallelization Environment (SHAPE). SHAPE partitions and schedules sparse matrix computations for Cholesky factorization with the goal of achieving good performance at low cost, while providing flexibility for use as an experimental tool. It employs efficient parallelization algorithms which reduce the communication cost without adversely affecting the load balance by using a hybrid mixture of column and block partitions. Through several parameters, SHAPE aims for portability across a diverse range of sparse matrix structures and message-passing multiprocessors with different communication cost parameters. We present preliminary timing results on the iPSC/860 and compare the performance of SHAPE with that of a commonly used column-based method. The results show that SHAPE significantly reduces computation time, number of messages, and overall communication time for a variety of test matrices.Technical report dcs-tr-29
