Contextualización de las actividades referentes a los números negativos en los libros de texto de matemática
Get PDFEl presente trabajo es parte de una investigación en desarrollo para alcanzar el grado de Maestría en matemática mención: docencia. En el marco de esta indagación se pretende entre sus objetivos identificar los contextos presentes en las actividades referentes a los números negativos que proponen los libros de texto de matemática de primer año de educación media general. En el ámbito de análisis a libros de textos escolares, este estudio se encuentra sustentado por el modelo de valoración de textos escolares matemáticos en educación secundaria propuesto por Monterrubio y Ortega (2011). Este modelo se compone de varios indicadores de análisis agrupados en organizadores, entre los que se encuentran los objetivos o competencias, contenidos, conexiones, actividades, metodología y lenguaje. Estos indicadores serán utilizados para analizar los diversos libros de texto en el tópico de los números negativos. De igual forma, esta investigación se fundamenta en la teoría de educación matemática realista, propuesta por Freudenthal (1983), quien destaca la importancia de pensar la matemática como una actividad humana, donde se tome en cuenta un proceso de reinvención guiada utilizando los fenómenos y los contextos como fuentes principales del conocimiento, es decir, el autor plantea la necesidad de contextualizar la matemática escolar con la finalidad de que los estudiantes puedan usarla para resolver situaciones de vida. Como metodología se asumirá un enfoque cualitativo de tipo documental (Arias 1997). Get PDFEn este artículo se hace un estudio descriptivo del conocimiento profesional del profesor de matemáticas a partir de los conocimientos academicistas adquiridos en su formación inicial y permanente; se analiza la visión integradora que hace el docente con estos conocimientos y la influencia que tienen, junto con las creencias y las concepciones, en su práctica docente. El análisis situacional y temático es realizado a partir de los referentes teóricos del programa de investigación denominado pensamiento del profesor propuesto por Lee Shulman, específicamente en lo relacionado con las caracterizaciones del conocimiento base para la enseñanza, haciéndose mayor énfasis en las que tienen que ver con el conocimiento del contenido y el conocimiento didáctico del contenido. Se establece, entre otras conclusiones, que es necesario e imperativo articular los desarrollos teóricos del pensamiento del profesor a los programas de formación docente y a las acciones de aula que llevan a cabo estos en su labor educativa, es decir, posibilitar que los procesos de formación docente permitan situar de manera significativa el desarrollo de las competencias profesionales del saber y saber hacer. Se utiliza un enfoque metodológico documental de naturaleza analítica y descriptiva que se basa en la revisión exhaustiva de las teorías reportadas en los últimos años y los registros de diseño curricular de programas de formación docente
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
