ChatGPT as Co-Author? AI and Research Ethics
Should ChatGPT be viewed merely as a supportive tool for writers, or does it qualify as a co-author? As ChatGPT and similar language models are likely to become more prevalent in assisting with academic writing and research, it seems that we will face with two possibilities: an increase in ghostwriting that could finally undermine the integrity of the knowledge system, or the need to theoretical preparation to recognize the role of non-human contributors. Drawing on Actor-Network Theory, this article examines the question of whether this Chatbot meets, in principle, the requirements for co-authorship. Answering this question in affirmative, it delves into philosophical discussions concerning the agency, moral agency, and moral accountability of such technological entities
Investigating the function of the Schwann cells in diabetic wound healing
Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a multifactorial disorder that occurs due to lack of insulin
& hyperglycemia. My focus is relating two major complications of T2DM; wound healing
defects and diabetic neuropathy. Cutaneous nerves extend throughout the dermis and epidermis
and control both the functional and reparative capacity of the skin. Nerve axons are reduced in
the skin of a diabetic and further decreases in wounds. From previous work, our lab
demonstrated, as apposed to the nerve axons, the associated Schwann cells located around
wound are important, undergoes extensive reprogramming process and migrates towards the
wound bed releasing bioactive molecules, which contribute to wound closure. However, their
role is still unknown in diabetic wound healing. To investigate this, we are using two rodent
models of diabetes— genetically modified db/db diabetic mice lacking leptin receptor and a
reporter strain fed with high-fat diet to induce diabetes. A 6mm punch biopsy wound will be
induced in the back skin and healing will be tracked at four time points—Day:5,10,15 &
21(n=5). The immunohistochemical analysis of S100B, P75NTR and neurofilaments will
determine the numbers of Schwann cells and axons. As an experimental therapy of diabetic
wound healing, we will treat the mice with growth factors known to be released from Schwann
cells. This could lead a novel therapeutic intervention in T2DM treatment
The Man Has Become The 5th Ape by effect of The Copernican System.
The experiments in Quantum mechanics says the subatomic reality is subjective. The author argues that the large scale universe is also subjective. The Ptolemaic universe is complementary of the Copernican universe. In a previous reality the universe was Ptolemaic and the man was son of Adam , but when man observed the heavens with telescopes the reality shifted , it has become Copernican. The Copernican universe contains heliolatry inside it . This heliolatry forces man to become sons of the ape

Translating the Ant's, the Hoopoe's, and the Beast's Speeches:Arabic/English/French Concerning Chapter 27 of the Holy Qur'an
This article uses an analytical descriptive approach to develop its main question: do insects, birds and animals speak? Its central aim is to point out the shortcomings that may arise from the translations of the Qur’anic Verses (Ayahs). This has a significant impact on learning foreign languages through translation, and that linguistic studies on animal’s, and birds’ words have to continue. However, the present study isn’t based on experimental laboratory research seeking to analyze their means of communication. The author tries to suggest a reading and linguistic methods that may enhance and provide guidance for the process of the interpretation of the meanings of such Verses or Ayahs. He also attempts to facilitate their understanding when translated into English/French. The study finds out that literal translation develops shortcomings in the rendering of similar Verses, into English and, or French. Another item related to the findings is that in the translations of pronouns the author, sometimes uses parentheses to clarify the meaning. The study recommends the using of specific translation techniques and authentic Islamic books of explanations and commentary while interpreting the Qur’anic Verses. Further studies on the mentioned species' communication recommended to clarify the animal words. The study concludes that the translation methods help in the delimitation of the problems of translation of the language of insects, birds, and animals mentioned in the Holy Qur'an
ANALYSIS OF EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF WORK AT BHAYANGKARA HOSPITAL TK II SARTIKA ASIH
This study aims to determine the analysis of job satisfaction in order to improve the quality of work at BhayangkaraTK II Hospital Sartika Asih Bandung. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are field observations, literature studies, interviews and questionnaires. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique with the number of respondents as many as 2 hospital employees. From the research results, it was found that job satisfaction analysis was quite effective on the quality of employee work. However, there are a few problems that arise, including: 1) Supporting facilities that are felt to be dissatisfied will hinder employees in their work and reduce job performance (work results in terms of quality and quantity) will decrease and it could be that an employee cannot carry out their duties in accordance with their responsibilities. the answer given to him. 2) Lack of appreciation for work, where appreciation is very important because it can provide enthusiasm and motivation which can produce quality and accomplished workers. The author provides suggestions for these problems, namely: 1) It is better if the Byangkara Hospital tk II sartika asih Bandung strives to create a database of the number and condition of supporting items such as computers and printers in each room and make submissions to the renmin/ICT subsection if the condition of these items badly damaged, but if the item is still possible it can be used and repaired, you can submit it to the ICT department, 2) As an important part of the institution, employees at BhayangkaraTK II Sartika Asih Bandung Hospital must be able to develop a professional attitude and mentality and know the risks of work so that maintaining work safety. So that the positive image of the hospital towards the environment is formed by itself. This study aims to determine the analysis of job satisfaction in order to improve the quality of work at BhayangkaraTK II Hospital Sartika Asih Bandung. Development of a virtual reality milling machine for knowledge learning and skill training
Current methods of training personnel on high cost machine tools involve the use of both classroom and hands on practical training. The practical training required the operation of costly equipment and the trainee has to be under close personnel supervision. The main aim of this project is to reduce the amount of practical training and its inherent cost, time, danger, personal injury risk and material requirements by utilising a virtual reality technology.
In this study, an investigation into the use of Virtual reality for training operators and students to use the Milling Machine was carried out. The investigation has been divided into two sections: first the development of Milling Machine in the 3D virtual environment, where the real machine was re-constructed in the virtual space.
This has been carried out by creating objects and assembling them together. The complete Milling machine was then properly modelled and rendered so it could be viewed from all viewpoints.
The second section was to add motion to the virtual world. The machine was made of functions as for the real machine. This was achieved by attaching Superscape Control Language (SCL) to the objects. The developed Milling machine allows the users to choose the material, speed and feed rate. Upon activation, the virtual machine will be simulated to carry out the machining process and instantaneous data on the machined part can be generated.
The results were satisfactory, the Milling Machine was modelled successfully and the machine was able to perform according to task set. Using the developed Virtual Model, the ability for training students and operators to use the Milling Machine has been achieved
Russian revolutionaries in London, 1853-70: Alexander Herzen and the free Russian press
The opening passage of the section of Alexander Herzen's memoirs which describes his life in Britain reads: 'When at daybreak on the 25th August 1852, I passed along a wet plank on to the shore of England and looked at its dirty white promontories, I was very far from imagining that years would pass before I should leave those chalk cliffs ... The idea with which I had come to London, to seek the tribunal of my own people, was a sound and right one ... I had had my own people once in Russia, but was (now) completely cut off in a foreign land; I had at all costs to get into communication with my own people ... Letters were not allowed in, but books would get through of themselves ... I would print; and so little by little I set to work upon ... setting up a Russian printing-press.' With these words, Herzen not only embarks on an account of his life in England, but also, in effect, begins the history of Russian-language printing in London. This history is surprisingly short. In theory, the prospects for Russian-language printing in Britain were good. Russians have been present in England from as early as the twelfth century. Moreover, Heinrich Ludolf's Rossiiskaia grammatika (Russian Grammar), variously described as the first Russian grammar ever printed and the second book ever printed in the Russian vernacular language (the first being the Ulozhenie or Code of Laws)was printed in Oxford by Oxford University Press in 1696. Yet despite this, research to date has uncovered almost nothing printed in London in Cyrillic type prior to Herzen's arrival in Britain. On initial view, an English-Russian commercial dictionary, compiled by Adam Kroll and printed by Thomas Plummer of Seething-Lane in 1800, seems promising. However, a glance at the preface reveals that the cited purpose of the work is 'to enable the English trader to render himself intelligible to the Russian, without having to resort to ... the laborious and difficult task of learning the RUSSIAN characters, which would appear so formidable to his imagination, that he would be deterred from making the attempt'. The preface goes on: 'to obviate this difficulty, the Author has substituted ENGLISH Characters, in a manner that he conceives ... will enable the Reader to speak plain enough for a RUSSIAN easily to understand him'. And indeed, the Russian words have been transliterated into Roman characters
Building Sustainably Safe and Healthy Communities with the Fused Grid Development Layout
Road crashes have become a leading cause of injury and death and a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. Modes of active transportation (AT) such as walking and cycling are often overlooked in the community planning process. The Fused Grid (FG) is an innovative subdivision layout, developed by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation with the objective of balancing the needs of safety and health for residents, with those of the automobile and AT, all in pursuit of enhanced community sustainability. This study assesses the effectiveness of the FG model via an application of two recently developed assessment tools: the Canadian Healthy Development Index (HDI), and the Dutch Sustainable Transport Safety (STS) principles (collectively known as i-THRIVE in a new on-line tool). It was found that the FG is a successful model for building sustainably safe and healthy communities as it easily met the criteria of both the HDI and STS Principles. However, while the FG model can be applied relatively easily to a new community, retrofitting existing neighbourhoods can be challenging and is the subject of further research. The accepted manuscript in pdf format is listed with the files at the bottom of this page.
