Determining Pak Rupee Exchange Rates vis-à-vis Six Currencies of the Industrial World: Some Evidence Based on the Traditional Flow Model
No full textPak-rupee exchange rates vis-à-vis many currencies of the industrial world have weakened continuously and persistently since Pakistan abandoned fixed exchange rates in April 1982. This proposition is strongly supported by descriptive test statistics, as shown in Table 1, such as mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation of six Pak rupee exchange rates—against the U.S. dollar, British pound, German mark, Japanese yen, Swiss franc and French franc—over the period 1982q1-2000q4. Based on these descriptive statistics, it is evident that Pak rupee has depreciated persistently against all currencies of the industrial countries in question over the period under investigation; for example, it has depreciated by 324.05 percent against the British pound, 406.360 percent against the U.S. dollar, 344.53 percent against the French franc, 498.48 percent against the Swiss franc, 477.78 percent against the German mark and 986.25 percent against the Japanese yen since April 1982. As evidenced by coefficient of variation, Pak rupee has weakened enormously against all currencies of the industrial world, while it has weakened relatively more alarmingly against the Japanese yen, Swiss franc and German mark.

sistem bagi hasil dan dampak penerapan bagi hasil pada restoran Ayam Bakar Pak
D . Ayam Bakar Pak D telah berdiri sejak tahun 2008 dan saat ini memiliki 28
outlet, objek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 outlet yang berlokasi di Surabaya dan
telah beroperasi lebih dari lima tahun yaitu outlet Ketintang, outlet Nginden dan
outlet Arif Rahman Hakim.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan strategi studi
kasus secara deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan
wawancara kepada 7 narasumber yang terdiri dari owner Ayam Bakar Pak D, 3
manajer outlet dan 3 karyawan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bagi hasil
yang diterapkan antara owner dengan manajemen outlet berdasarkan revenue
sharing system dengan nisbah owner : manajemen outlet sebesar 30%:70% dan
bagi hasil antara manajemen outlet dan karyawan berdasarkan net profit sharing
system dengan besaran yang ditentukan melalui penilaian kinerja karyawan.
Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa penerapan sistem bagi hasil berdampak
terhadap loyalitas karyawan, kesejahteraan karyawan, survive bisnis dan ekspansi

MeSH term explosion and author rank improve expert recommendations
No full textInformation overload is an often-cited phenomenon that reduces the productivity, efficiency and efficacy of scientists. One challenge for scientists is to find appropriate collaborators in their research. The literature describes various solutions to the problem of expertise location, but most current approaches do not appear to be very suitable for expert recommendations in biomedical research. In this study, we present the development and initial evaluation of a vector space model-based algorithm to calculate researcher similarity using four inputs: 1) MeSH terms of publications; 2) MeSH terms and author rank; 3) exploded MeSH terms; and 4) exploded MeSH terms and author rank. We developed and evaluated the algorithm using a data set of 17,525 authors and their 22,542 papers. On average, our algorithms correctly predicted 2.5 of the top 5/10 coauthors of individual scientists. Exploded MeSH and author rank outperformed all other algorithms in accuracy, followed closely by MeSH and author rank. Our results show that the accuracy of MeSH term-based matching can be enhanced with other metadata such as author rank

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis SWOTuntuk memanfaatkan peluang dan memaksimalkan kekuatan, mengurangi kelemahan, serta menghindariancaman. Dari hasil penelitin analisis SWOT tersebut maka dapat diketahui bahwa Rumah Makan Ayam BakarPak D Nginden sedang menjalankan strategi SO (Strenght and Opportunity), yaitu strategi dimana organisasimenggunakan kekuatan dan peluang yang dimiliki untuk menjalankan usahanya. Dengan demikian RumahMakan Ayam Bakar Pak D Nginden sebaiknya berkosentrasi mempertahankan dan meningkatkan produk yangbervariasi dan khas yang sesuai selera atau kebutuhan kepada masyarakat untuk mendapatkan pelanggan yanglebih setia dan tetap kreatif menggunakan teknologi yang semakin canggih untuk memperluas jariganpemasaran dengan baik.Kata kunci: Strategi Pemasaran, Analisis SWOT, Marketing Mix, IFAS, EFAS
AbstractThis study aims to determine how the marketing strategy at the Pak D Nginden Grilled ChickenRestaurant. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a SWOT analysis method to take advantageof opportunities and maximize strengths, reduce weaknesses, and avoid threats. From the results of the SWOTanalysis, it can be seen that Pak D Nginden Grilled Chicken Restaurant is running an SO (Strenght andOpportunity) strategy, which is a strategy where the organization uses its strengths and opportunities to runits business. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
