The Internet and Social Media in Political Participation in Indonesia
-This research explores the Internet and social media in political participation in Indonesia. The Integrated Participatory Political Marketing (IPPM) and the Mixed-Mediated and Online Political Campaigning (MMOPC) are the concepts to posit new alternative models of marketization of politics and professionalization of campaign. This paper analyses the Internet and social media during Jokowidodo???s campaign. This research uses social media such as Facebook, and Twitter, and also Internet such as You Tube for the observation. For analysis and discussion, author finds that direct election requires the candidates of president to establish war campaigning on the Internet and social media. Jokowi???s campaign was very successful in establishing the Integrated Political Marketing Model (IPPM) and the Mixed-mediated and online political campaigning (MMOPC)
Radar Bone's Strategy in Implementing Media Convergence in the Editorial Process Online Media
This journal discusses the strategy of Radar Bone in implementing media convergence in the editorial process of online media. This research aims to describe Radar Bone's strategy in news coverage, to find out Radar Bone's strategy in today's digital era and to find out the application of media convergence in the online media editorial process.To obtain answers to the three main problems, the author uses field research methods, namely interviews, observations and documentation with a communication science approach and a sociology approach with data presentation carried out descriptively qualitative, which is a research that produces descriptive data (depiction). The subject of this research is Usman Sommeng as Chief Editor and Daily Editor in Charge, the researcher considers that the Chief Editor has the main role regarding policies related to media convergence. Furthermore, the researcher determined Askar Syam and Herman kahar as the Managing Editor and Legal Editor to be the next informant to find out how the strategy is used in today's digital era and the last informant is Adri and Baharuddin as Radar Bone reporters. The research results show that: First, the strategy carried out by Radar Bone in news coverage is through several stages starting from the planning, organizing, moving, and also monitoring stages.Â
HEADLINE POLITIK DAN POLITIK HEADLINE DALAM HARIAN FAJAR DAN TRIBUN TIMUR - KEBIJAKAN EDITORIAL SURAT KABAR DI MAKASSAR
Abstrak Headline sebagai representasi media meniscayakan sikap politik media itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) alasan berita politik dijadikan sebagai headline oleh Fajar dan Tribun Timur, (2) kecenderungan pemberitaan headline politik Fajar dan Tribun Timur, (3) kebijakan redaksi Fajar dan Tribun Timur dalam penentuan headline politik dan yang terakhir melihat faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap penentuan headline politik. Penelitian ini mengkombinasikan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penulis menggunakan content analysis untuk melihat kecenderungan media sedangkan Kualitatif dengan mengeskplor kebijakan redaksi serta faktor yang mempengaruhi headline politik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan alasan dipilihnya politik sebagai headline karena nilai beritanya, selain itu juga karena dimintai oleh pembaca. Kecenderungan pemberitaan headline Fajar dan Tribun Timur lebih mengarah pada politik sebagai arena struggle of power. Faktor yang mempengaruhi penentuan headline politik adalah faktor Internal yaitu kebijakan redaksi, serta dalam konteks tertentu pemilik modal.
