USING ANIMATION VIDEO TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' ABILITY IN WRITING PROCEDURE TEXT AT THE NINTH GRADE OF SMPN 1 LAMASI

This research was conducted to know whether animation videos improve the students' skill in writing procedure text in the ninth grade of IX F class of SMPN 1 Lamasi. The IX F class of 29 students was the subject of this research. The researcher employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the research method. The researcher adopted Kurt Lewins' model design. The researcher and the English teacher at SMPN 1 Lamasi then worked together to conduct this research. The English instructor was an observer, and the researcher was a teacher. The author used animation film to teach procedure writing. This research was carried out using the action research techniques of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research was conducted over four cycles. The results of this research were acquired using observation sheets, interview instructions, and tests. This research revealed an improvement in the students' ability to write procedure language utilizing animation videos. During the previous cycle, the majority of students gradually improved their grades. The English lesson received a Minimum Master Criterion- Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) score of 75. The pre-test means score for the students was 63.51. The post-test I mean score was 74. The post-test II mean score was 80. Furthermore, it was discovered that 62% of students passed the KKM in the first cycle, and 89.65% passed the KKM in the last cycle. This research met the success requirements of 75% of students who passed the KKM. The classroom environment improved during each cycle's teaching and learning process. Furthermore, both the English teacher and the students were enthusiastic about carrying out the deed. As a result, it is possible to conclude that animation movies can increase students' ability to write procedure text.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textBerdasarkan permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada dalam skripsi ini, maka saran yang penyusun berikan adalah:
1. Dalam mekanisme perjanjian jual-beli saham melalui media internet, hendaknya dilakukan pengawasan yang ketat. Hal tersebut dimaksudkan untuk mengantisipasi pelanggaran yang dilakukan melalui media internet barkaitan dengan jual-beli saham di bursa efek.
2. Upaya untuk mengantisipasi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan berkaitan dengan perkiraan terhadap pelanggaran jual-beli saham adalah melakukan peningkatan penelitian dan pengadilan terhadap jual-beli saham melalui media Internet, meningkatkan penegakan hukum yang berlaku terhadap perdagangan efek, mengadakan investor education dan mengeluarkan aturan hukum tentang perdagangan saham melalui pasar modal. Berkenaan belum adanya hukum yang mengatur jual-beli saham melalui media internet, pemerintah dan aparat yang terkait hendaknya sesegera mungkin membuat undang-undang baru yang khusus mengatur tentang jual-beli saham melalui media internet (online trading).
3. Perlu adanya ketentuan hukum terhadap penyelesaian kasus perjanjian jual-beli saham melalui media Internet. Indonesia akan lebih terbantu apabila dalam sistem hukumnya menganut common law system karena merupakan sistem hukum yang dianut oleh negara asal berkembangnya perdagangan secara elektronik sehingga tidak ada perbedaaan dalam penerapan sistem hukum

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
