Bloom’s taxonomy – valences and utility in pedagogical practice
In this paper I have made a parallel between the taxonomiclevels of Bloom (1) – Socratic questions taxonomy (2) –Wilson’s types of questions (3) – applications of Bloom’staxonomy in evaluation items construction (4), taking as anexample content the didactic transposition of Bloom’staxonomy. Therefore, we exemplified how we can correlate anobjective formulated at a certain taxonomic level with the rest ofteaching process –learning– evaluation, so that students tobenefit of a cognitive progress. Finally, I could detach somepractical recommendations on two dimensions: teachers cancreate a monitoring system of correspondence betweenobjectives – teaching process – study and what they measure byevaluation probes. Teachers can involve students/pupils in amonitoring process of the study process by creating some studyhabits in the classroom based on using the superior levels ofcognitive taxonomy, applicable later, independent in anyindividual study
BOREDOM - PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS TO THE CHALLENGES OF BOREDOM: 10.24250/jpe/1/2022/MMPM
Boredom is a real problem in the lives of schoolchildren and contemporary people. Although important steps have been taken in the theoretical understanding of this phenomenon, we are still witnessing a struggle that many people/students are losing because they do not know how / have not been taught how to relate to it. This article comes up with some concrete proposals to address boredom, in the light of recent scientific research, so that we can emerge victorious from the confrontation with boredom
FRIENDSHIP IN ADOLESCENCE AND ITS PITFALLS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF RELATIONAL DIALECTICS
This study is based on a descriptive research on a sample of 80 teenagers, built on three fundamental questions: What qualities do adolescents value in a friendship? Are there significant differences between the two genders when it comes to these qualities? What are the main relational dialectics to be solved in the case of friendship in adolescence, starting from the main qualities valued? The investigated teenagers mention the following qualities as relevant: sincerity, help, trust, loyalty, respect, honesty etc. The study also reveals that there are significant differences in terms of gender, in the sense that boys appreciate sincerity more in friendship, while girls appreciate stability more than boys. In terms of the pitfalls of relational dialectics associated with these qualities, they are at the level: expressiveness – protection (sincerity, trust), and independence – dependence (help, stability), respectively, according to W.K. Rawlins. According to Baxter & Montgomery’s theory, there are tensions between the following opposite values regarding in friendship in adolescence: expression – nonexpression, integration – separation (help), stability – change (in the case of girls), expression – nonexpression in the case of boys)
WHAT IS THE POINT OF UNHAPPINESS? CASE STUDY ON HOW ADOLESCENTS RELATE TO UNHAPPINESS
The scientific approach is based on the analysis of qualitative data obtained by applying the method of stimulating group creativity 6-3-5 on the topic: What is the point of unhappiness? Purpose of the investigation was: identifying ways in which adolescents relate to unhappiness; identifying key aspects (psycho-behavioural indicators) adolescents associate with unhappiness. After the statistical processing of data, we were able to outline the following indicators -Â in the negative register: mistrust, psychological imbalance, death, somatic diseases, low performance, vulnerability and vices; and in the positive register: power, growing up, emphasis on the quality of people, reflection on life and self-knowledge, change, managed emotions, appreciation of happiness and creativity. Unhappiness reveals our helplessness or power, brings us to our knees or empowers us, impoverishes and enriches us as people and adolescents seem to know this
Impact of the Romanian Diet Guide on Student-consumers
AbstractDespite of the recommendations offered by nutritionists in the national guides for diet, the consumers options are often in conflict with this and are dominated by,bad food” .In this paper we conducted a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the Romanian guide for diet. Thus, we conducted a pilot study on 70 students (of which 35 have training in human nutrition lasting 28hours), in which on the basis of the questionnaire, we assessed consumer behavior in relation with the food which are present in the diet guide. The aim is to identify / quantify the degree to which education for healthy food, changes the consumer behavior
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Do Unborn People Have the Right to Life?
U radu se neki od znanstvenih argumenata o početku života (prva dva tjedna) odnose na
filozofske probleme povezane s njima, iz perspektive teorija osobnosti i osobnog identiteta.
Prenatalni razvoj, prateći znanstvena istraživanja, postavlja niz filozofskih i moralnih pitanja
o legitimnosti prekida životnog ciklusa u početnoj fazi, aspekte koje ispitujemo u radu. Na
stavove i postupke ljudi prema produktu začeća i prenatalnom razvoju (tj. prema nerođenoj
djeci ili nerođenim ljudima) mogu utjecati ispravni odgovori i pitanja znanstvenika.
Predlažemo nov okvir za propitivanje ovog pitanja. In this paper, some of the scientific arguments about the beginning of our life (the first two weeks) are related to the philosophical problems associated with them, from the perspective of personhood and personal identity theories.
Prenatal development, following scientific investigations, raises a number of philosophical and moral questions about the legitimacy of the interruption of the cycle of life in the initial stage, aspects that we examine in this article.
People’s attitudes and actions towards product of conception and prenatal development (i.e. towards the unborn children or the unborn people) can be influenced by the correct answers and questions of scientists. We propose a new framework for questioning this issue
The Career Choice and the Study of English in Higher Technical Education
AbstractNowadays, within our globalized and technological society, the study of foreign languages in general and of English in particular will focus on the development of linguistic and professional communication skills and competences, as a prerequisite for the prospective engineers’ choice of career and occupational opportunities. It is noteworthy that linguistic competences and knowledge of English will assist engineering students, anticipating graduation, in their career decision-making process. Moreover, being in a learning environment seems to place engineering students in great “danger” of growing professionally, thus, acquiring communicative and linguistic competences becomes a “must” in view of a more flexible and smoother insertion into the labor market worldwide. Hence, the proper aim of higher technical education is to promote significant language learning, since significant learning entails professional development. Furthermore, professional development means addressing broader and thoughtful queries regarding oneself and the world we live in. The present research aims at analyzing the importance of linguistic competence for engineering students in choosing their career and ensuring better employability
