Psykoottisen potilaan kohtaaminen ensihoidossa : koulutus PJ Medlines Oy:n työntekijöille
Tärkeää on kohdata potilas rauhallisesti häntä kuunnellen.
Paramedics encounter psychiatric patients increasingly in emergency care. Especially psychotic patients are often in the need of emergency care. Psychotic patients experience themselves and external world differently than others. They may feel that they do not need treatment and oppose transportation to the hospital. Encountering a psychotic patient may arouse different kind of feelings in paramedics, such as confusion and fear. Psychotic patients should be encountered calmly listening to them.
This study was implemented with PJ Medlines Oy. The company operates in the field of emergency care. The purpose of this study was to collect information on psychotic patients and how to encounter them in emergency care. The purpose was also to give an education about psychotic disorders to the staff of PJ Medlines Oy. This study aimed to improve paramedics’ professional skills about psychotic patient encountering. The aim was also to increase knowledge about psychotic disorders among paramedics.
This is a practice-based study containing a theoretical part and the educational material. The staff training for the company was held in January 2022. The education was evaluated by participants with feedback forms. The participants considered the education useful. All participants experienced that they had received new information about psychotic disorders and that they can take advantage of the information at work
pJ-Level Energy-Consuming, Low-Voltage Ferroelectric Organic Field-Effect Transistor Memories
Ferroelectric organic
field-effect transistors (Fe-OFETs) have
attracted considerable attention because of their promising potential
for memory applications, while a critical issue is the large energy
consumption mainly caused by a high operating voltage and slow data
switching. Here, we employ ultrathin ferroelectric polymer and semiconducting
molecular crystals to create low-voltage Fe-OFET memories. Devices
require only pJ-level energy consumption. The writing and erasing
processes require ∼1.2 and 1.6 pJ/bit, respectively, and the
reading energy is ∼1.9 pJ/bit (on state) and ∼0.2 fJ/bit
(off state). Thus, our memories consume only <0.1% of the energy
required for devices using bulk functional layers. Besides, our devices
also exhibit low contact resistance and steep subthreshold swing.
Therefore, we provide a strategy that opens up a path for Fe-OFETs
toward emerging applications, such as wearable electronics
Mosaic Atlas: Interview with PJ Hirabayashi
This interview with PJ Hirabayashi, co-founder of Taiko San Jose, was conducted by Jan English-Lueck as part of the Mosaic Atlas project. PJ Hirabayashi, a third-generation Japanese American, discusses her involvement in taiko, a traditional Japanese drumming art form. She talks about her cultural identity and how taiko has allowed her to express herself and break stereotypes. She also discusses the importance of collaboration with other cultures and the impact it has had on her work. Hirabayashi emphasizes the importance of community building and connecting with audiences, as well as the motivation and inspiration she finds in the energy and vibrations of the drums. She reflects on her experiences working with various organizations in Japantown and beyond, and the importance of transmitting core values and cultural roots to the next generation. Hirabayashi concludes by expressing her excitement for the future and the potential for deeper relationships and connections through cultural expression. As part of the Mosaic Atlas project, Mosaic Staff and Volunteers, SJSU students and faculty from the Anthropology and Film, Theater, and Dance Departments interviewed people who support and produce art throughout the Bay Area

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
The hybrids of the ∆ − PJ theories
When studying Jonsson theories, which are a wide subclass of inductive theories, it becomes necessary to study the so - called Jonsson sets. Similar problems are considered both in model theory and in universal algebra. This topic is related to the study of model - theoretical properties of positive fragments. These fragments are a definable closure of special subsets of the semantic model of a fixed Jonsson theory. In this article are considered model - theoretical properties of a new class of theories, namely ∆ - PJ theories of countable first - order language. These are theories that are obtained from ∆ - PJ theories by replacing in the definition of ∆- PJ theories of morphisms (∆ - continuities) with morphisms (∆ - immersions). A number of results were obtained, ∆ - PJ fragments, ∆ - PJ sets, hybrids of ∆ - PJ theories. All questions considered in this article are relevant in the study of Jonsson theories and their model classes
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
