Asymptotic inference for nearly unstable AR(p) processes

    No full text
In this paper nearly unstable AR( p) processes (in other words, models with characteristic roots near the unit circle) are studied. Our main aim is to describe the asymptotic behavior of the least-squares estimators of the coefficients. A convergence result is presented for the general complex-valued case, The limit distribution is given by the help of some continuous time AR processes. We apply the results for real-valued nearly unstable AR(p) models. In this case the limit distribution can be identified with the maximum likelihood estimator of the coefficients of the corresponding continuous time AR processes

A note on the geometric ergodicity of a nonlinear AR–ARCH model

    No full text
This note studies the geometric ergodicity of nonlinear autoregressive models with conditionally heteroskedastic errors. A nonlinear autoregression of order p (AR(p)) with the conditional variance specified as the conventional linear autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity model of order q (ARCH(q)) is considered. Conditions under which the Markov chain representation of this nonlinear AR– ARCH model is geometrically ergodic and has moments of known order are provided. The obtained results complement those of Liebscher [Journal of Time Series Analysis, 26 (2005), 669–689] by showing how his approach based on the concept of the joint spectral radius of a set of matrices can be extended to establish geometric ergodicity in nonlinear autoregressions with conventional ARCH(q) errors.Nonlinear Autoregression, Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity, Nonlinear Time Series Models, Geometric Ergodicity, Mixing, Strict Stationarity, Existence of Moments, Markov Models

    AR-associated genes.

    A. Genes most highly associated (bivariate cutoff 1.0E-07) with AR expression across the TCGA dataset were used to determined novel gene expression signatures associated with AR tumor status. Distinct subgroups of genes with shared expression trends were identified using K-means cluster analysis and separated into 5 nodes of genes with expression trends that are either upregulated or downregulated in the AR-negative tumors. B. A subset of genes related to the Immunomodulatory TNBC subtype display statistically significant differences in expression between AA vs White patients when comparing expression in AR-high and AR-low categories.</p

AR-Vs mRNA expression in BPH and PCa samples.

All mRNA data are normalized by beta-2-microglobulin (B2M). For AR-FL, AR-V1 and AR-V4, values of normalized quantity means (NQM) were used to create the graphs. AR-V7rv was obtained from the ratio between AR-V4V7 and AR-V4. The bars represent the minimum to maximum values. (A) The median AR-FL expression is not significantly different comparing BPH and PCa (P = 0.331). (B) and (D) AR-V1 and AR-V7rv expression are higher in primary PCa than in BPH (P = 0.041 and PP = 0.001), showing higher levels in hyperplastic tissue. P value was determined by the Mann–Whitney U test.</p

Heatmap of 151 non-AR-associated genes that gained AR-association in VCaP-CT and their expression levels in VCaP-T and VCaP-CT cell lines upon testosterone level changes. Expression levels are scaled and centered by row. Using hierarchal clustering with Euclidean distances genes were clustered into 4 clusters with different characteristics. Genes with association to progression-free survival are pointed.</p

    Ittijahat Abi Dhu'ayb Al-Hudhali fi Qasidatihi Ar-Ritsa’

This article aims to know Ittijahat of Abu Dhu’ayb Al-Hudhali in his poem of Ritsa’. Ittijahat in this study is a description of the poet's tendency to divide Ar-Ritsa', namely Nadb and Ta'ziyah. Ar-Ritsa 'is one of the various forms of Arabic poetry. To analyze the discussion problem, the author uses descriptive analysis method, because this method is very appropriate to find out the picture and state of a thing by describing it in as much detail as possible based on the facts found in the data in question. The results obtained are: In the beginning of the poem, he tends to mourn (Nadb) their five children. He describes in it that he does not stop crying and has trouble sleeping until he becomes weak emaciated due to the intensity of the grief, pain and worries that dominated in his pysche. As for the middle of the poem to the end, the poet turns to the consolation (Ta’ziyah) of his children’s death, as he reflects on the reality of life and death, the poet declares that death is inevitable for every human being that he must accept it and let it go, which the poet portrayed in the exciting narrative style. The story is divided into three stories: the zebra, the bull of the beast, and the two knights.</jats:p

The binding energy of Ar to p-difluorobenzene-Ar. How large are three-body effects in p-difluorobenzene-Ar(2)?

    No full text
The technique of velocity map imaging has been used to determine the dissociation energy for the process p-difluorobenzene–Ar₂→p-difluorobenzene–Ar+Ar. The aim of the experiment was to obtain a value for comparison with the dissociation energy for the process p-difluorobenzene–Ar→p-difluorobenzene+Ar in order to ascertain the extent of three-body effects. We find that the dissociation energy for the loss of an Ar atom from p-difluorobenzene–Ar₂is 339±3 cm⁻¹, which is the same within experimental uncertainty as that for the loss of Ar from p-difluorobenzene–Ar (337±4 cm⁻¹). We conclude that the presence of the first Ar affects the binding energy of the second by 2% or less.Susan M. Bellm and Warren D. Lawranc
