Russian museums in French publications at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries
No full textThis paper explores the awareness of French researchers and the readership about the realities
of museum practice in Russia at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries. The question arises
concerning the inclusion of Russian museums in the informational and cultural context of
France during the formation of the Russian-French alliance, key objects of interest and principles
for their description are also analyzed. This approach, based on reviews and special
studies, is intended to outline a list of museums that have attracted the greatest attention of French authors. Among them are museums of national history (State Historical Museum),
technology (Polytechnic Museum), art collections (Hermitage, Tretyakov Gallery, collection
of P. I. Shchukin) and collections of arts and crafts (the Baron Stieglitz Art and Industry Museum,
the collection of the Stroganov School). This panorama represents a very characteristic
choice for the French observer of that period, seeking to learn a new country. The approach
of description of Russian museum landscape is based on the analogies with the influential
French museums of that time. The Louvre Museum, the Luxembourg Museum, the Museum
of French Monuments, the Trocadero Ethnographic Museum, the Conservatory of Arts and
Crafts, the Central Union of Decorative and Applied Arts, and the Cluny Museum formed the
museum landscape of France during the period being analyzed. All descriptions appeal to this
context, which reflected the key points for the French mentality (national history, national
and European art, decorative and applied art, technology, architecture) fixed in the museum
building process. Thus, the actual and most striking events of Russian museum practice at the
turn of the 19th–20th centuries were recorded in French publications, which could contribute
to the formation of an extensive, non-simplistic view of the Russian cultural and museum
process during that period

No full textThe article deals with basic online trade-relating questions. The chosen theoretical basis connects to the research task itself, which was to gain elementary knowledge about preferences of customers shopping on the internet. For the purpose of drafting this article, the authors focused on the research part, which discusses attitudes of online customers' towards prices of goods and services offered through this modern medium. Thanks to data collection techniques, such as CAWI and thanks to the results of an identical research carried out in 2010 we were able to gather information on the development in 2010 and 2011, which were than compared on the year-on-year basis. A favourable development of e-commerce reveals a great potential of online business.W artykule omówiono podstawowe zagadnienia związane z handlem online. Wybrane podstawy teoretyczne łączą się z zadaniami badawczymi, co umożliwiło zdobycie elementarnej wiedzy na temat preferencji klientów kupujących w internecie. Screening for Children's Chronic Health Conditions and Their Strengths and Difficulties in Primary Care

This study explores parents\u27 perceptions of their child\u27s health status and their strengths and difficulties using 2 validated instruments in primary care settings. Methods:
This cross-sectional study was conducted between February 2018 and October 2019. Parents of children aged 2 to 18 years completed the Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) screener and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) as well as demographics. The CSHCN uses 5 questions to identify children with chronic health conditions. Three subgroups were created: children with no chronic health condition (NCHC), chronic health condition with no functional limitations (NFLs), and chronic health condition with functional limitations (FLs). Higher SDQ scores indicate higher degrees of a factor. Associations between CSHCN subgroups and SDQ scores, controlling for demographics, were analyzed with multiple linear regressions. Results:
In total, 970 parents\u27 surveys (87.9% completed surveys) were included in this analysis: 76.4% of respondents were married, 56.4% had an annual household income ≥$50,000%, and 61.7% were employed full time; 53.0% of the index children were males, 72.1% were White, and 61.4% had private insurance. Mean (SD) total SDQ scores across the 3 CSHCN subgroups were significantly different (NCHC, 7.7 [4.8]; NFL, 12.6 [6.6]; FL, 16.0 [6.7], p \u3c 0.001). The mean SDQ prosocial scores were higher in the NCHC subgroup (p \u3c 0.001), as hypothesized. The SDQ means for the 3 subgroups remained significantly different after controlling for demographics. Conclusion:
Children with FLs had significantly higher total SDQ scores than children in the other 2 subgroups, which may aid clinicians in the early identification of children who would benefit from behavioral health resources

Development of the international orbital Cavernous Hemangioma Exclusively Endonasal Resection (CHEER) staging system
No full textBackground: Orbital cavernous hemangiomas (OCH) are the most common adult orbital tumor and represent an ideal index lesion for endonasal orbital tumor surgery. In order to standardize outcomes reporting, an anatomic-based staging system was developed. Methods: An international, multidisciplinary panel of 23 experts in orbital tumor surgery was formed. A modified Delphi method was used to develop the cavernous hemangioma exclusively endonasal resection (CHEER) staging system with a total of 2 rounds being completed. Results: Tumors medial to a plane along the long axis of the optic nerve may be considered amenable for an exclusively endonasal resection. In select cases, tumors may extend inferolaterally if the tumor remains below a plane from the contralateral naris through the long axis of the optic nerve (ie, plane of resectability [POR]). This definition reached consensus with 91.3% of panelists in agreement. Five stages were designed based on increasing technical resection difficulty and potential for morbidity. Stages were based on the relationship of the tumor to the extraocular muscles, the inferomedial muscular trunk of the ophthalmic artery (IMT), and orbital foramina. Staging by anatomic location also reached consensus with 87.0% of panelists in agreement. Size was not included in the staging system due to the lack of agreement on the contribution of size to resection difficulty. Conclusion: Endoscopic orbital tumor surgery is a nascent field with a growing, yet heterogeneous, body of literature. The CHEER staging system is designed to facilitate international, high-quality, standardized studies establishing the safety, efficacy, and outcomes of endonasal resection of OCH
Monitoring radiation damage in the LHCb Tracker Turicensis
No full textThis paper presents the techniques used to monitor radiation damage in the LHCb Tracker Turicensis during the LHC Runs 1 and 2. Bulk leakage currents in the silicon sensors were monitored continuously, while the full depletion voltages of the sensors were estimated at regular intervals by performing dedicated scans of the charge collection efficiency as a function of the applied bias voltage. Predictions of the expected leakage currents and full depletion voltages are extracted from the simulated radiation profile, the luminosity delivered by the LHC, and the thermal history of the silicon sensors. Good agreement between measurements and predictions is found
